  • Yo! How existentially crisis-ed is your existential crisis? Maybe you don’t even think it’s real. But here’s what I can say - 2023 is expected to be the hottest on record - and that will have effects everywhere. One place that keeps coming up in the climate discussion is Greenland. And ice here is melting at record rates. I’ve been reporting on it for years and decided to go see for myself.
But Greenland is more than just a global warming talking point at COP 28 (that’s the UN climate conference that just started yesterday). And I will show you some of that next week with a scientist William Colgan (www.instagram....) from the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland.
BUT back to the extraordinary island of Greenland - a place that draws you in and holds you with its spectacular landscapes and vibes. But what about the people who have lived there for thousands of years. I searched out someone who has been telling the world about the magnificent land and culture of the Indigenous people there - Qupanuk Olsen - AKA Q’s Greenland (plus you cats kept sending me her videos). Oh, and did I mention there will be icebergs. Lots of icebergs. And I did think that I had been avoiding my whole life.

I miss these types of series, hope you get more into doing this type of stuff! I love the depths of your narrations, though, this just hit the surface.
Beautiful video none the less. I'll check out Q's Greenland channel. Thank you.

Q is a fantastic ambassador for Greenland and Greenlanders. She's so lovely, and her videos are always informative. I would love to visit Greenland one day, but I doubt it will ever happen.
George, thank you for visiting Greenland and interviewing Q.

I live in South Greenland (Qaqortoq) I love Greenland. It's so beautiful. I'm the wife of a Native Greenlander. I'm amazed at how many people don't now anything about Greenland or they pass around stories that aren't even true to start with. :)

We were able to get ashore at the place where all the icebergs come from because there were too many coming out. We went farther north and got ashore at Paamiut and Nuuk. Greenland is an interesting country and all the people we met were friendly and helpful. I’d love to go back for another holiday.

The clip is very nice, the views shown are breath taking but the title suck.
Greenland's story is publically available for everyone, fortunately

We were colonized 4 HUNDRED years ago! But the biggest impact, culturally and socially, happened in the 1960s.😢
