For an MRE for home keeping I actually like the less rice because rice is a cheap filler that you can cook separately, although I understand how that is less than convenient for outdoor use unless you have the space for a packet of precooked rice.

true, the MRE's are more for content for me. I have a lot of rice in buckets for sure. Thanks

@ If you ever use them For emergencies the rice ones with less rice are just perfect for home use sounds to me
