Having viral videos is nice, but only when the views take off. And when the views start dropping, oh the horror, the pain, the agony.. lol. I can't bear looking at my analytics afterwards since it won't be a pretty sight 😂
My channel is very, very new and small but recently I had a few videos that did 5 - 20x's better than my typical and what I have noticed it that because it drove new viewers to my channel and I had videos already created it has helped bring what was once normal to a much higher level. Hope this makes sense.

So true I have uploaded over 536 videos and had about 20 break 1000 views. The best were 16k and 18k with only 100 subs at the time. I thought I had figured things out Nope the next few videos got less then 10 views. I always always feel depressed after a video gets a ton of views I would love to have more consistent view ranges.

I feel like it’s never gonna work for me I’ve been at 2k for so a year and a half and not hitting alg and idk what to do any tips
Made tons of videos here for over 12 years, still sitting below 500 views for most of my videos. The ones that I tried to do something with are gone, fortunately, it failed miserably for 12 years and got rid of it all.

Right to the point. I learned this the hard way, went viral on an airplane take off video before i even got serious about RUclips. Now I'm left with a bunch of subscribers who seem to be in a coma. I'm going to try create a few airplane travel videos and see if that helps.

I kinda saw this with my other channel as well. I posted immediately after some news came out about the playoff seedings being set, and the algorithm blew it up to about 8k views, but then it died off. Viral trends are like the wind: It comes and it goes.

The 1 view this week = 7 impressions next week doesn't seem to apply to my channel.
1st week of Feb I had 110k impressions (and 36k views)
2nd week of Feb I had just 102K impressions.
I have a children's educational channel, not sure if that could be why.

It’s interesting to see how growth can climb! 100 people one week to 700 the next could snowball into something really huge, assuming you can keep the audience engaged.

Thanks for sharing! Sometimes It’s all about the perfect storm and a popular trend and great timing. I’ve noticed when I upload videos about popular sports figures and topics on the same day they occur or the day after, my views increase substantially.

My tip if you’re making a short is to use a popular audio, my first video got 80 something views but on my second video I used a popular audio and got 2.8k views in under a week.
How did u do that?
I used the we don’t talk about Bruno audio and it kinda went nuts

Heres how I summarize going viral. I make Rubik's Cube videos and my most popular horizontal short (which is 17 seconds) has 2 million views and I only have 28k subscribers.
*Get a high CTR (15%+ to get your channel to blow up)
*Be original - Come up with ideas never done before (if you want to go SUPER viral)
*Have a VERY appealing thumbnail and title
I made a video where I solved the last 2 pieces of a super big rubiks cube, and I called it "Don't Get Satisfied" and that video got 2 million views.

I’ve found that both of my most popular videos have both performed below average up until around the 3rd day when RUclips starts recommending them and they start gaining a lot of views. It’s weird however because I don’t target search with them

Hope you are having a good day. When I upload a video it doesn't get views for 16 - 24 hrs and then suddenly views blow up. Finally after getting much views, they stop and the number gets still. Any particular reason for this?
That's how shorts tend to work. It tests your content for a bit.

I do feel like having a niche at the beginning may be limiting
U may or have not actually have found a particular content more enjoyable when making. The main idea is that we shouldn’t create one with the idea of will it get views will I blow us …. Etc ; just have genuine fun making videos ,take a lil risk here and there and as said in this vid ..keep things simple. The analytics afterwards (of a viral video) lol definitely damaging for some(don’t let it bring u down tho).have fun y’all!

That's super interesting. 40k views per hour. I have not seen that. My biggest video ever had close to 1500 views per hour on its peak and ticked well for almost 3 weeks closing out on almost 300.000 views. And for a channel that was at 800 subs, this was like Christmas, New Year and Birthday rolled into one.
To My amazing son who struggles with ASD everyday and he is amazingly gifted... The World will pause one day and admire your efforts eventually. Autism, anxiety and not understanding this uncertain planet we live on. You were born with a gift that many can't have. Just keep your head up ,dreams do come true.

The idea behind this video is really brilliant, nice 👍
This...sound a bit similar to my channel. I love Dr, Stone, so after watching the anime I jumped straight into the manga, and then decided that I want to make a channel about chemistry, starting with explaining the science in Dr. Stone. As I read the manga already, as Season 2 of the show is coming I know which parts will have the juicy science bits in the Season 2 of the anime, and lo and behold, the highest views in my channel are the topics that shows up in Season 2, and it tripled my subscriber count (from 50 to 150)!
Unfortunately, with this tactics, now as interest in Dr. Stone is down, my channel sees little growth now. I have to wait until 2023 (Announced date of Season 3) to get another wave from this tactics again, and until then, I have to enjoy only getting 30-50 views total everyday in my channel. I plan to move on to other anime or shows, too, someday.
You can fill that time with rumours, updates, comparisons to similar shows.
Whilst having a viral video might be good, producing consistent high quality video is a much more organic way to grow your RUclips channel! 👌🏻

We had a video go viral almost a week after it was uploaded. Wish I can show you the graft. And it is continuing to slowly grow. Trying to understand what we did different 😃

Ok. So finally I understand why a video of mine posted in winter, got a boost of views after 10 days of 500 views, got a boost until 5k. Even if my channel had at that time 100 subscribers.

I made videos about train trips, and in my country in 11th of december each yaer the yearly time schedule of trains are changed(in all Europe)> SO basically , then my videos started to have more views, almost all my videos had a boost.
And the penny drops!
@@vidIQ One nice thing is that that particular video got me views to my other videos and boost them as well. And still now , 2 months after I still have 50 views per day on that video.
But it seems I did this without knowing what I do. But I will prepare for December this year to try this tactic again :)
