What's the significance of his time inside of Castle Byers in the Upsidedown (especially in S1)? Does he have powers? Is Will part of the reason as to why time is frozen in the Upsidedown? Is Will a timetraveller? Could Will's "now memories" be because of him somehow being Vecna all along? Crazy I know but there's proof of it!
I used to think that El escaped from the lab the same day she sent Vecna to the Upside Down. That’s when he showed her the escape tunnel. Now I know that’s wrong. She must have escaped later, but on the same night Will disappeared? Yes, I think so. In season 1, how did El know Will was in the Upside Down? I’ve said this before on another post, but I think there is a story between El and Will that we haven’t seen. A scene that explains how El knew Will was in the Upside Down. Will didn’t meet El until season 2, but he must have heard a lot about her from the gang. The first time Will sees El is when she shows up to Joyce’s house, after her adventures with Kali, to save them from the demodogs. I think. Remember, in that season Will was possessed by the mind flayer, he was the spy. He communicated with the gang through morse code til his mom saved him..again, with the heat. Will, the non-possessed Will didn’t see El till season 3. Remember she was still hiding with Hopper, till she and Max had an outing at the mall. There was never any scene showing a formal introduction of Will to El. Unless El had a picture of Will and went to find him in the empty space, how did she know him? In season 1 didn’t she see Will’s picture and indicate to Mike that she knew where he was? Did she see Will taken? The only reason El would know about Will being taken is if she “happened” to be near the shack when it happened. Come to think of it the latch on Will’s house wasn’t busted through, it was opened psychokinetically. Was that Vecna on the other side of the door or El?!?

Idk if it counts as meeting, but he def saw her at the Snow Ball in the last episode of S2 and he wasn’t possessed then. They didn’t show an introduction, but that would be weird if Mike didn’t introduce him to El at some point that night, right? I would imagine their first full group hang w both Will and El present was that night at the dance, but maybe I’m misremembering something that makes that a moot point lol.. just wanted to add that detail jic it matters!!
@@klarenee1123 Definitely in my opinion would have to be the scene where they show a flashback involving that. If you think about it, they strongly hint at that using the Snowball as Max's flashback/happy memory. I'm going to definitely develop something with this, for a Part 2 of The First Meeting of Eleven and Will Theory!
Tbh not unpopular at all in my opinion. I really think Will's death would end the show in a way where Mike would have to truly grow up, what they originally were fighting for would now be ended. So many things as to why it makes the most sense to me. As for the post, I feel like the Duffer Brothers or production have Noah purposely do these things to mess with us. Every season, Noah has randomly dropped some post, then deleted it, or followed people out of random. This being the last season I'm almost certain the Noah Schnapp mishaps through the years are fake lol. Who knows lol! Not sure if you saw the picture or not yet, but if you do just look at the vibe of it. There's just something about it to me that doesn't scream Eleven or Will lol?! Idk it just comes off like in Season 1 when Will is missing and Jonathan & Hopper are in the waiting room at the coroners office. Hopper is comforting Jonathan, asking how Joyce is, trying to be a support system. The picture looks almost identical to the vibe of that scene. If I'm right or onto something, then I'm really thinking it's about Nancy. Hopper comforting Mike, about his SIBLING being gone, maybe asking Mike how his Mom is doing. Basically the same as Season 1 with Hopper & Jonathan, which gives us a HUGE full circle moment. I think you're right, Noah was probably asked to put it out and I did see the pic on the community post by Tate. Agree that Hopper would be inconsolable if he lost another daughter. The play is supposed to be cannon to the show and season 5. There are still some questions with timelines, though, from the play. Henry was 14 in the play and a freshman at Hawkins, where Hopper, Joyce, and Bob were seniors.. the mind flayer is the actual villain in the play. Who is taking control of Henry much like Will in S2. I think there is a reason why the mind flayer sought Will out much like it did with Henry from the play. I dont think s5 will cover everything from the play, but it does need to address some issues in regards to it. You get answers about Brenners father and how Brenner became obsessed with Dimension X which ironically looks like where Henry actually got sent to after eleven defeated him. Upside down is red, Dimension X is more yellow with items floating. i could be totally wrong on this but im thinking the Mind flayer wanted to use Henry but Henry grew too powerful and he overtook the mind flayer. The mind flayer wants its own control back so maybe Will is supposed to have some powers we dont know about yet to stop Vecna. Itd the only reason i can think it would seek another person out to try and control. Just a theory but they confirmed the play is cannon so i have to take in the consideration that the Mind Flayer was thr big bad until Henry grew too powerful for it.
I think that one of this main three:Eleven, Will or Mike has to die. It wouldn't feel right for me if in the show that have a massive problem with killing their characters, saved all that three. If they had done that, I wonder what they would do with their relationships- if Will died, and Mike and Eleven would still be together, I will be sorry for Will. But if Eleven died and if Byler was in fact real, that would be hilarious. Hey, your sister is dead, so I will be dating you instead. If Mike died, I think that would strengthened the sibling bond between Will and Eleven. And maybe they would finally be happy, because their lifes kinda sucked.
That's a great point! It would be a WILD and very unexpected twist if Mike didn't make it, but I really can start seeing that being a possibility. It makes sense too because if you think about it, Mike was angry El wasn't there in S2 and didn't want Max in the group, Lucas didn't want Eleven there in S1, Dustin has been back and forth on his own with other people other than the boys, pretty much every season since S1, obviously Will was gone in S1, so with all that, how would the group be if they didn't have their Heart being Mike, that would be crazy lol.
