I found this pretty helpful as today I attended a session about the psychology of conversation and this is all getting pretty interesting to me. Meeting and talking to new people is my nightmare. I have tried on several occasions to rectify this but to no avail. really frustrating

I want to make it clear, however, that while physical mannerisms are important on a superficial level, much more important is (a) the substance of what you are communicating and (b) how open, receptive, and genuine you are being while communicating.
