I'm sad Poland NQed since it's my favourite song of this season. However, Ireland had the best performance BY FAR and I am SO happy they made it to the final!!! Also, Luxembourg is in the final!!

I'd argue this was one of the best results ever in semi final. Everyone that deserved it went through. If you wanna argue about Poland and Australia; Australia was extremely underwhelming, staging was terrible, singing was flat at moments and the song is plain not good enough. Poland song is just not good enough I'm sorry, staging was kind awkward at some points and the red horse part looked absolutely atrocious, I don't understand why anyone thought it was a good idea, vocally she did well but it's like her voice is a bit weak or not loud enough. Azerbaijan song is okay but staging wise very boring, Moldova also underwhelming and I think her "clones" would have helped her a lot, Iceland while singing wise good, staging kinda boring and that song is just like 20 years too late I'm sorry.

Poland is probably the biggest shock NQ after Iceland 2016. Shocked the diaspora didn't back them. So happy for Slovenia tho

Idk about the diaspora influence… But even though she improved a lot and had fantastic energy, she was still the weakest vocalist and the song for the genre could have been more interesting.
Must have been too competitive - the audience apparently liked the other songs better, besides the quality of the performance.

Watching Semi Finals 1 yesterday just confirmed what I already knew... I really am not a Eurovision fan and don't understand why I watched it. I guess old habits die hard. *lol* Anyway. There were a handful of songs I thought were ok. The rest... simply not to my taste. I liked Isak and Germany the best and liked Ukraine too. There was one other I really liked the vocals of but I forgot what country she came from. Portugal maybe? I liked that Luxembourg made the finals. Aaand I think that's all the positive I can say.
Just because you have different taste doesnt mean you're not a proper Eurovision fan. I also thought Isaak was great last night!
