@@scottbecker3485 I've had decent use of it. There's been no major disappointments in functionality for what I use it for (bullet journaling and reading). The UI was a bit hard to navigate at first, but I got used to it. I haven't experienced Supernote's famed streamlined notes linking, so I wouldn't be able to say how it compares, but I've found a reasonably satisfactory way to make a contents page with my notes that link to various pages. I appreciate some extra functionality of the Android based Boox. I actually use the web browser in the Boox not infrequently to find and download pdf documents directly on the device. It's been nice to be able to access my OneNote notes as well. I don't think you can do that on Supernote (not easily anyway). I'm still interested in the A5x2, but it hasn't been released yet. The updates do make it look like a premium device. I'm interested in the feelwrite2 screen and the ceramic tip pen, but it will probably have a premium cost. The regular Boox pen has been good enough for writing and I don't think a premium pen will improve my experience as much as it will cost. The detachable magnetic pen flap on the Boox Go 10.3 case is a bit annoying and I haven't gotten used to it like I did with the UI. It still annoys me. I've just gotten a 3rd party case for it (Jarttarn) which has a more secure pen compartment and folds origami style to make a stand, which I hope will be much better. Considering I received my Boox device 3 months ago for not too much money and have been using it adequately, I haven't had any regrets. In fact, I think I would've regretted it at the end of every month that the Supernote was delayed, if I hadn't gotten the Boox. The WHOLE case / clip issue is solved by reusing my existing overpriced reMarkable slip folio case, it protects, and it secures the pen as well, then it's out of the way when I use the rm2 right now, and I believe it will work fine with the GO 10.3 as well

There will be a "Thinness" limit where "fragility" will skyrocket, and I certainly don't want these devices to become any more fragile to be worrying about damage vs usefulness!!!
Just as a point of reference, has anybody ever measured a NEW yellow pad??? I'm guessing they are already thicker than both the GO 10.3 and the reMarkable 2, and if you add an almost necessary clipboard to make the yellow pad actually usable in the hand the combination is most surley thicker than both E-Ink devices in question.
I am looking at this and the Supernote Manta. I will listen to this while at work. Remarkable caught my eyes first but flexibility and interaction with other systems and paid subscription are what made me drop that.

Also I wanna know also, in low light conditions, the Boox goes 10.3's brightness, what happens with the screen brightness when you use it in low light situations?
Is it just me or have you noticed that the magnet from the black pro pen snaps to the side of the go 10.3 better then the white pen they include with it? So FWIW ...
WRT to the viewer's remark of "low memory storage", even if the Onyx Boox e-ink devices authors stripped their Android versions to fit Boox needs there is still a possibility that a 'Boox OS' implementation is not optimized for the specific hardware it is running on, thus maybe memory 'bloat'?
I get it when a business decision is taken to adopt something like Android (a mobile device-based OS) to go to market faster than 'rolling your own' OS purpose-built for your own hardware, but there are also various downside consequences to that decision .... There is never a 'free lunch'.
Was looking forward to this but the recording quality is very poor. Normally it's crystal clear. Any chance of re-uploading?
Yeah, so what I do is I take the livestream recordings, (which are the best bit rate available) and I re-edit them into sections. (I've even tried capturing the main shot of the devices in 4K this time so that those edits are even better looking.) I think that this gives a good balance for me and the viewers so that you can be there live if you want to contribute, and maybe have a skip about on the replay, and then enjoy an edited version later. So perhaps this time just look forward to those videos coming!
Is there a Programm from boox in which we can send in an older device and get a discount for a new one?
Thanks , love your work
I don't think so. But I'll suggest it to my contract. Because they should definitely do that. 🙂
