  • Spec-ops Israel and Martial Artist Noah return to Experts React to review Battlefield 1 Prologue mission. They'll talk about World War I, Israel's experience with tanks, and everything in between. Similar to its predecessors, Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter game that emphasizes teamwork. It is set in the period of World War I and is inspired by historical events. Players can make use of World War I weapons, including bolt-action rifles, submachine guns, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, artillery, flamethrowers, and poison gas to combat opponents.

It happened too during 1915 but in a very small scale which usually just collecting bodies and burying the dead from both side. This is due to a strong worded order and in some case, threatened to execute soldier who carry out the truce with the enemy. And it disappear in 1916 as fighting heated up.

    To answer Mr. Wright’s question on the Christmas Truce of 1914:
    Germans and English troopers were singing carols on their side of the trenches on Christmas Eve. Both heard each other, and they sang along tougher, wishing each other a merry Christmas. Next morning German troopers came out to no man’s land unarmed, soon the English followed. They exchanged stories, gifts, buried their dead, sang carols, and even played a game of football (soccer). It was really touching, and sad that after Christmas they would become enemies once again.

    Actually, since trench raids and assaults were at such extreme close quarters in tight spaces, they often resulted in a hand-to-hand combat. This caused demand for an all-round fighting system that worked in life and death situations. Different countries had different philosophies and essentially had to create their own martial art styles. Experimenting and borrowing from local, popular, and what they thought were, effective disciplines. They revolutionised the concept of mixed martial arts, and set the foundations for pretty much all hand-to-hand/self defence fighting systems that are meant for fighting for your life.

    • @omendium2918
      @omendium2918 3 года назад

      Well to put it briefly, trench warfare was absolutely awful, particularly during WW1, trench warfare is sadly still used today with the most recent time it was utilised in combat being during the Iraq-Iran war in the 1980’s (till 1988) where trench warfare and going over the top was used extensively, however back to WW1. Early 1900’s Warfare within trenches was extremely awful, not only were you at threat of severe shell shock due to the sheer amount of Shelling from artillery on both opposing armies, you could die from disease as well, as we know, on the western front, British troops having sometimes moved into trenches once used by the French army, would often find it riddled with rats that could spread disease, this was because the French army (and even the Army of the British Empire) would bury their dead behind the walls etc. Furthermore, what made trench warfare during this time especially more devastating than these two reasons was the idea of “going over the top” once that whistle blew from a CO or even an NCO, soldiers (even on the side of the Imperial German Army) would simultaneously run over the top only to be mowed down by heavy machine guns such as the Vickers machine gun and so on. Overall I thought I’d explain Trench Warfare in a nutshell, there’s plenty more details I could go into but I just wanted to keep it short. I’m just relaying the basic information I’ve gathered over the years of both studying WW2 and WW1.
