@ well so far I’ve upgraded from stock: - Borla s type catback - AR long tube headers and x pipe - performance cams - Aftermarket headunit - MSD sparkplugs/ignition coils - 93 tune - mcleod twin disc clutch kit w spline flywheel - coilovers - carbon fiber driveshaft - forged engine internals (rods, pistons) - kenne bell twin screw supercharger - bbk throttle body, plenum - high flow injectors - performance axles (i think 31 spline or sm) So i guess I might be passed the point of nitrous 😅
People talk trash about the 2 valve 4.6 and I laugh and walk away. The stock block is insanely strong. With upgraded internals people are documenting making 900hp with a single big turbo and the engine holding together. Haven't heard of any stock 302 block even coming close to holding that. With that being said I'd say 4.6 is worthy of serious build attention as any of the other known POPULAR engines people brag about. Especially considering the cross bolt, and skirted block around the crank design that GM took and used on their LS design engines. That alone gives the 4.6 some serious crank support and block strength! That 2 valve iron block was designed well!
The same tech that designed the original npi 2v was the major stepping stone that lead to the Coyotes and 6.2sohc of today. Even a stock 2v longblock with ring gap added will support a lot more power than most people ever need.
@@Bacongrease00 much stronger than the 302 block! The skirt and side main bolt design of the mod engines were copied by the LS.
