Why in Mikita last hand, the narrator said pretend that to be 5??
You know what they do with the removed cards from a short deck? They send them to my local casino to be dealt to me, hand after hand after hand.
Lol that’s clever😂
Comment deserves more praise lol
I had 7 2 three times in a row last night
hahaha they send half to you and half to me buddy
Lmfao at least you can set mind with those low poker pairs
Man it's so weird for Phil to finally show some age! I know he's almost 45 years old, but he looked like he was in his 20s for so long
I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah it's really weird to age. I despise comment like this. See them constantly.
same with Tiger. he was like 20 then all of a sudden he's an old man
@@howdareyou41 when Tiger wears a hat he still looks pretty young lol. Phil is just super skinny now. He needs to put on some weight (obviously saying this assuming he isn't sick).
Y'all realize he was playing on the other side of the planet. They were all saying how the americans feel theyre at a disadvantage being jetlagged, yet Ivey still wins looking like he hasnt slept in days
And he doesn’t even crack a smile, just another day on the felt.
"Job's not finished , job's finished ? , I don't think so"
@@cyocyu bruh i thought the same exact thing. Same hairstyle too.
holy crap he's starting to look like deadpool now
No personality whatsoever
@@petergreen4890 Seriously , hes the last person Id have a beer with but the idol worshipers give him a pass cause hes PI
Man. Phil could sit back and chill during that first hand, and he sat there studying both of them. Ridiculous attention. That's why he's so good.
Phil Ivey can win whenever he feels like it.
whenever he Phils like it
WHENEVER!!
lol
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Grow up !
Can Ivey still win?
...Is water still wet?
....is the speed of light constant, relatively speaking?
....is the mass of an electron always the same??
What is love??
@@abacaxisalgado4968 Got to do with it?
The speed of light actually isn’t constant, but I know what you mean lol
@@Trailer__Swift ??
Yes
I don't know
I don't know
If I knew there was going to be a test, I would have studied more.
Everyone here talking about Ivey, but here I am amazed that Badziakouski managed to essentially go all in without going all in, find a fold, then laddering two places to make an additional $84,000.
He made straight to take pot down with king jack only had bout 400 behind some call in that case would’ve tripled up bad play tbh by him
But still great to ladder up twice so it what it is🤣
Why in Mikita last hand, the narrator said pretend that to be 5??
@@The182joe cuz ace is still a low card. So in a 52 card deck the lowest card is ace representing a 1 because 2 is lowest card but in short deck 6 is the lowest card so the ace represents a 5
KJ Против двух Алын, это фолд, а Бадяковский пол часа умнечал сидел
Crazy how these guys are still winning before the boom during the boom and after the poker boom these guys are still top dogs even with all the software and gto out there today i dont think anyone will come close to legendary status like the old poker after dark crew.
Yup, solvers are overrated
GTO is overrated. What happens when everybody starts playing GTO? If you know your opponents strategy you'll find players exploiting your "ranges"
Live read ability.
Ivey is overrated. In 2014, Ivey is the biggest loser in online poker. In 2015, Ivey is the second biggest loser in online poker. Nowadays, top poker players run circle on Ivey.
Game selection also has a lot to do with it
Half of this video is waiting for Chidwick to act
Got a chance to play in the same table with him not too long ago and it was intimidating. The man just doesnt talk a whole lot.
still the run god. i love seein the OGs winning lately
It is pretty remarkable how Ivey just keeps winning. Different games, different era, different competition... they guy just has such a sick feeling for the game... it can only mean that his instincts have always been closer to a GTO / mathematical approach to the game than the majority of his peers. Extremely entertaining!
Not to be a dick but most of these were obvious plays that any intermediate player would recognize, and Phil ran insanely good... Guy's still a legend and a beast of a player though
lol this was short deck all in clown fiesta.... seriously....
Common, you are correct
When Phil loses it’s just him setting an image that he can exploit later.
Yes very dangerous
everybody at home is of course rooting for phil ivey. we love him.
Not me. Ivey is overrated
Not me. He is a POS!
@@tissueboy76 he must’ve busted you and sent you back to mommy house.
You only ever speak for yourself. Never forget that.
@@Skindoggiedog, exactly. I don't root for Ivey.
It would be cool to see ivey stream. See his thought process on stuff. Kinda like Daniel is doing now.
Dont know. Hes not the chatty type
He has a course on MasterClass
Ivey is at work while everyone’s playing poker.
I love watching Phil Ivey win these kinds of tournaments, and yes he is the GOAT
Better than Jamie gold?
He got lucky 2 times
In cash games Ivey is legend. In tournaments however he is NOT the goat! The poker NL hold/em MTT GOAT is by far Phi Helmuth King Bracelet baby :)
@@dopewarszh6429 , agree. Phil helmuth is the goat in tournament.
@@michaelss1294 Yes in cash games of-course is a diffrent thing ;) But also in cash games Phil is stil number 1 in flamming the other players :D Even if he plays it terrible he finds a way to acuse the others, just love it how he cant take a lose. But this drive is what him got so far. People misread Phil emotion of arrogance for winner mentality. But Phil has class. In the big game he lost the 3 out of 4 runs with trip9`s vs KK you probably seen. But when Wiggins won his 2nd and the 3th run Phil actually congratulate the man while being needled by the whole table. I just love his personality :D
Folding AJs on a ace high board but shoving QJo pre?
Those two hands took about seven mins and should’ve taken about 1.5 mins.
_it's not all math, if you feel me/ can catch a glimpse. plenty of times I knew my aces would be cracked pre-flop. logic told me to bet. intuition told me to fold._
GO BUY IN N PLAY YR WAY
AJ hand was the worst fold of all time in a tournament! Donk player clueless in those situations. Smh
@@BamaBoy1967 yeah wtf - Chidwick is hella lucky to have survived that first hand
So crazy he just won that online heads up event for about the same amount if not more. Can't remember top prize but he's on fire lately.
Phil Ivey always hits the craziest flops at the perfect time
Santi had to be sooo pissed when he found out about the AJ hand 😂
I think considering Chidwick is very aggressive and there where 2 flush draws out there he could have made the call there. But it is very hard with that board texture cause at that point all he had was a bluff catcher or a weaker A all do i doubt a weaker A ships it there.
@@dopewarszh6429 Was a bad fold imho, if Santi didn't believe him otf, what changes ott? He's the shortstack also and already had a big percentage of his stack in the pot, making him almost committed. Gotta go for it or else fold pre.
@@spendingtimetogether8428 Well i can agree with that. But what can you beat. I mean now it is obvious would be good call. But in general i doubt it will be the winning hand. On the other hand i think i would not have got in the situation as i would have at best played till the flop. AJ is ofc not as strong short deck as it is in regular holdem, then you can add much more hands to the possibilitys Like low suiteds aces . pp etc. I would struggle so hard finding a call here. All do the opponent like now has a stron weight in the decission. Players i consider tight i would lay it down more easy then vs a player like chidwick
@@spendingtimetogether8428 I agree, although it's always easier said than done, especially when playing for this kind of money.
Phil Ivey always GOAT in any poker tournament.
a no limit tournament with narrow equities with very few big blinds? This is true poker folks. (s)
21:32 You can see how much the win means to Phil
Phill ivey is the best, all the respect he gets on the table and the fear the players have.......
The second half of the video is just Phil Ivey devouring his opponents 1 by 1
The look on iveys face when the guy tank folds with kj is like really…
The look after when he knew he had folded the straight was like thanks bro.
The pro's seem to love this short deck game. I wonder is it because the edge the really elite guys have in full deck hold'em tournaments is far smaller in short deck, because a) No one really has tons of experience in it and/or b) less cards so spots tend to not be as complex? Or maybe it's because similar to PLO there's just a lot more action and it's just way less of a grind?
Zim, it’s newish and more of an action game as opposed to hold em
Could we see the rediffusion somewhere ? To see all the stream ?
The full stream is available on PokerGO.com
@@PokerGO thanks 🙏❤️
At the pace some of these players play we can soon except them to celebrate another birthday at the table. I think it’s more annoying to hear all the chips than table talks😂😂
yeah id 100% rather listen to banter than the shuffling of chips and silence lol
@@mhyrr999 Chadwick plays so slowly, I don’t know much about him but it doesn’t make for good watching
Notice no pro plays with there chips. Never ivy never hellmuth never brunson
Ivey still Ivey, one of the best, at the same time one of the luckiest poker players
there's no such thing as luck when you play as many hands as these guys do.
@@thems_the_brakes luck is always a factor in poker. Doesn't matter how good you are.
He damn neared Soloed that! A GOAT
Amazing that Santo could fold the AJ
Lets go ivey!! Although the AK hand was kind of a nit roll lol
Not in short deck
Not played short deck atall but from what I know of it that hand would be very close and usually flipping at best
@@KevinProAwesome well doesn't make sense then if the commentators are saying all in there with 20 bigs holding AQ is the play then isnt calling a 20 big all in with AK also mandatory?
@@skyeswanson6762 against 20 big blinds? And wouldn't that be the same exact scenario in normal hold'em? You are either crushed, ahead or flipping. So not sure the logic there
@@cdude665 because he was the chip leader it makes it a bit tougher of a call especially with Makita so short….dont you understand ICM at all?
Arguably the best player in the world in Chidwick. Vs the all time best player in the world. Perfect match up
Does anyone know what type of chips they are using? I like the style.
Phil looking like a satisfied father in the thumbnail
Short deck is just a bad game to watch.
I think it really helps that Phil is an alien,
w/o emotion. Ivey plays like a grinder or savant! 🤪👍
Ivey is looking great! Skinner and in good shape🤙
Glad to see Phil back on his feet after blowing everyone's Full Tilt money with no remorse at all. Great human being!!
Ivey sued full tilt tho?
@@misterdam4204 they still owe me about 7 grand that I'll never see. Had just taken down a $50 dollar buyin a couple days before.
What makes Ivey great is his good hands hold up, his bad hands out draw, he can lay down a big hand when beat, can force laydowns when behind. But dont get it twisted. He put his money in bad 4 times in this video alone and won 100 pct of them.
Behind bad in short deck is usually still like 40% equity
Ivey taking names and crushing souls!
He ran like a god as well though.
of course Ivey can win.. its very easy to win when your cards hit the board...
Still crushing it, crazy
No questioning Ivy's talent but having seen him play for nearly a decade he really does have the support of the poker gods. Anytime he needs a bit of luck he gets it.
like when Moneymaker rivered a better Boat vs him in the main even when Phil turned a boat? It's poker
SICK fold from Mikita with the KJ
Damn Phil looks much older man, time really moves fast
What is short deck poker can someone please explain? Thank you
Good to see my bro ivey
400K is like Ivey’s daily bank roll.
Thanks for posting
They should find a way to make poker endings more climactic - always the same thing - the winner looking around for the big trophy but left only to remove their mic and wonder what they were sitting their for 7 hours for....
Why does badziaukowski need a 7 at 19:30? They said about making the A a straight thing. Can someone explain? :)
I love seeing Ivey win
In Cyprus! Love it! My roots
Anyone know what watch Phil Ivey is wearing in this?
"Ughh can you give me a count please?" As if the dealer is suppose to just start counting down right away.
FYI: Dealers aren't suppose to count down chips unless a player asks. Especially in an all in situations.
Instant karma folding the eventual winner whilst getting the right price to gamble his KJ... whoopsie
The King of Poker congratulation Phil
lol @ mikita's laddering
Man's a legend tbh
Anyone knows where to get these poker cards?
So Santi folded that AJ on a A high board just to get in all in soon after preflop with QJ? Doesn't make a lot of sense
What a donkey fold
What year is this?
Great lay down by the guy with kjo
Can't believe Mikita didn't call it off with KJ getting a bazillion to one🤔🤦♂️ He did ladder well after it though. What do In know, I'm just a chat pro😄
WHAT?!!!
Why in Mikita last hand, the narrator said pretend that to be 5??
Daniel, Phil and Tony G all won. Legends are gathering.
Ivey definitely one of the best and can never overlook him!
Your edits are on point
Phil got him talking to himself
breaking news: poker is easy when you have monsters all the time
Yeah like that 9 8 ivey had, oh wait that's not a monster hand 🙄 😒
Is it possible to count cards or not?
nice work Ivey!
If Phil Ivey is alive, he's winning
Good seeing Ivey back in form!
Why in Mikita last hand, the narrator said pretend that to be 5??
lmfao phil solidly in the middle. HAHAHAAHAH
Wow santi just played so bad in this vid doesn't rip it pre w AJ suited then doesn't rip it on flop when he hits his Ace just calls then folds on turn after he commits a 3rd of his stack. Then rips it with QJ off now that is how NOT to play a short stack 🙆🙆
Damn man...my dude Ivey starting to show some age. Hate to see it plus it makes me feel old. Damn
Phil ivey is literally the goat, man doesn’t even show any emotions no more lmaoo bro u just won 400k 🤨
He used to get 1 million a week from fulltilt.
400k ait shit for him even if he is broke
@@hehehehehehehehehehe2881 source on both of your claims?
Lmao literally ZERO emotion after shipping
@@zizou357 As expected ;) For most people that win would be life changing. For pros like Ivey it usually does not mean they win the 400k. People usually pay hm to play in tournemanets (you can buy a share of a possible win) Dunno if that was applied here but it usually is in the pro poker world. My point being this is ``just another job`` for people like Ivey. So they aint really playing a game at this point, therefor emotions are not a good thing. I think overtime they have learned to shut off/down those feelings. Must change you as a person over the long run i think, he almost llooks depressed.

Ivey's weight seems to fluctuate wildly depending on what year it is. Looks like he's a buck fifty here when he gets up from the table at the end, other times I'd guess 190.
He has a new "healty" diet and lifstyle.

Dumbest call I’ve ever seen with only an 8 and 4 to a flush and a paired board lol
Probably called to see how Phil played his hand
In short deck flushes beat full houses because there are only 9 of each suit making it harder to make. So, the board being paired is irrelevant. Ivey is representing a much more narrow range than in full deck holdem because of this.
@@gwat34 doesn’t matter. Shit fold.
Very GG #PhilIvey! Big congrats!
What’s short deck?
Dont understand why at 19:23 AK have 4 outs with the 7 …? Where is the straight ?

Wait, I don't understand short deck that well but why did Chidwick not win by hitting the Ace on the river? Why did the J's become his only outs after the turn rather than adding to his As outs from the flop?

Did Phil adopt the Dwan catatonic mouth open stare now?🤣🤣
