hey mark! nice video. I'm actually looking at getting a vx deluxe this week so your videos helped me confirm I'm making the right decision.

I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. Life got in the way. Did you end up getting a VX Deluxe? Those are basically the same as the Cruiser - just a slightly different seat is all I think.

Great video, I understand the urge of getting out on those beautiful Waverunners but damp I would have waited. That looked cold.
Also I would recommend never leaving covers on when trailering. Problems always seem to happen even if they are tied down well.

Hi Wade. Thanks for watching. Yeah, I would have preferred to wait a little bit, but the itch was strong and needed to be scratched. We've actually been out 4 times since then. I just posted a video of the largest lake in CT that we went to. Thought we'd be warm since we were the first time, but I totally froze. Third time was good - except Matt was fooling around, and they fell in. Whoops. Fourth time we went to Lake Winnipesaukee, which is huge. I'm addicted!

What to do in case of one is traveling across the states like thousand miles. Is it okay to trail a PWC without the cover (all that dust from the road, rain)? I am currently living in Florida and going to move to Colorado this summer. I want to buy PWC here in Florida to give it a ride a month before I go. After that I'm going to have a long road with PWC on trail.

@@user-lp8fc5xz1m Hi Alex. We faced that very question. First time, we went with our covers on, and it came loose. Next trip, we put them on again but tied them tighter. They still came off, but we were on the highway with lots of trucks making lots of wind, and they came loose again. After that we stopped putting them on while trailering. I thought being a Yamaha brand made specifically for our PWCs, they would have stayed on better. Another thing to consider - the covers are a little abrasive and can actually scratch the pain underneath. We figured they're made to get wet, so any road grime would wash off when we get to the lake, and at home, we always wash them afterwards. Ideally, we wanted to cover them in transit, but it just didn't work out for us.

Love the video!!! I just bought a VX cruiser too, we’re about to go pick it up later this week.

Thank you so much! The VX Cruiser seems like a great model. I think you will love it! I know we're going to. Hopefully you're in a warmer place than we are. Some of the lakes where we visit normally are still frozen! ☹

FYI bro. You're not supposed to have the covers on your jet ski when traveling, the covers are only for when your jet ski is just sitting parked stored outside or inside but not for traveling and it's good to warm up your jet ski before you take off in the water, let it run for at least 5 minutes in the water. Have fun be safe, see on the water bro.

Hi Paul, thanks for watching! The Yamaha covers are designed for trailering. On their website it says, "...creates a vacuum inside the cover during transit...Benefits include...less aerodynamic drag." As far as idling the engines, we always do that. In this video we were following the break-in schedule, which calls for operating the engines at idling speed for the first 5 minutes."

Hi. Matt installed a WaveEater bypass valve, which gives the option of turning on or off the water spout. Here's a link to the install video. There's also a link to it in the description. ruclips.net/video/4zCUHieL6CA/видео.html

Hi Marty. In this video, they were brand new. We still try to keep them nice, though. Wash them after each use, flush the engine and things like that.

Is your ski a ho because mine does 62 mph

No, it's the regular one. The HOs were too heavy for us to pull with our Jeep.
