I rode one for the first time with my 15 year old daughter (pillion) yesterday in Northern Spain. We had a basic Intro, and went out of the harbour! At first it was fun, then after half an hour I had had enough! The Instructor disappeared in front of us and we were banging and crashing though waves. The spray was in my eyes and I found it difficult to see. I thought the craft was stable enough, and it seemed to keep in a staight line, and was very powerful. Eventually the Instructor turned around and asked if we were ok. I said I wanted to go back! He was ok with that! Everything happended so fast, I suppose having had no prior experience, I found it all a bit to manic for me. Even my daughter said I'd made the right decision. Will I do it again! Yes!...but in a calmer environment that will allow me to take in the coastline sights and enjoy the experience, not just hanging on for grim death. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. xx
Great tips, if you’re approaching a yacht and don’t want to hit it what’s the best, safe way to slowdown fast or stop completely and move forward slowly as you said earlier? Thank you kindly and great info, cheers
It wasn’t my first time but I’ve done it probaly like 5 times and I didn’t put throttle when turning and we fell off because there were 2 people and both leaning onto the same side
here's a begginer tip from my hard-earned experience don't be flying down the lake full throtle and let off and turn into you wake you'll end up turning your ski over
I rode on a jetski before and I was shitting bricks when the driver did sharp turns because i thought I would either fall off or the whole jetski would flip over
Awesome vid bro! Just bought my first ski today! Thanks for the vid eh! From Nova Scotia Canada. Pretty much surrounded by the Atlantic ocean and 100's of lakes! 🤟
@@JetTechProducts That's awesome and Thank you for the response. So for you is it mostly salt water rides vs fresh water. I'm very privy to both, the Atlantic Ocean and many lakes. I know fresh water is less maintenence for the PWC,.and I have watched many vids on salt water use and flushing the machine afterwards and my Seadoo GTI 170 does have the flush system too. What's your take and maintenance on running in the salty sea?
@@BM-hh3gz its fine to use your skis in salt water, just have to make sure to clean them well, and to use a product like Salt Shift when cleaning as it dissolves all the salt.
My ski throttle posistion is the front brake on my bikes and the skii's left control for ibr and reverse is the clutch on the bikes! What could go wrong? In a panic my instinct is to pull the front brake which is the skiis throttle and came close to decapatating myself on my dock when i first got it.
yeah..don't ride one without reverse..lol. really though..you will have to be very careful with the throttle when getting into the dock area, otherwise..you will hit something !..lol.
Genuine question: How dangerous is it like crashing in the water like being slung off?? Idk of this is a dumb question to ask, but hey, why not Edit: I plan on buying this jetski from this one guy that why I was asking
It can hurt but pretty much same concept as riding a tube behind a boat. Most the time you skim across the water, but serious injuries can still incur.
yes...when it flips over..its posb it can become upside down. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHICH WAY TO FLIP IT BACK OVER ?!!..if you flip it back over the wrong way ?, you will ruin the engine !.
Awesome tutorial for beginners! I would suggest to beginners that you should go ONLY as fast as you might hit something! They're not toys! It takes hours of riding them to be at a level where you don't panic and lose steerage by letting off the throttle or gunning it full throttle during an "oh shit" moment.
I would have loved to learn something about the sport, but I wanted it in English, not this slang I hear,,, I didn't understand a thing this guy said! lol!
Picked up my first ski about 6 weeks ago and been watching a ton of your videos. Very informative and the scenery is cool too. Cheers from the states!

Can you do a video for beginners on how to park your jetski to a dock. If you don't already have one that is.
Great suggestion, leave it with us and we will do one in the next month or so.

Super
My concern is how to climb back up on the jet ski. I don't really know how to get back up
Ummm the boarding step on the stern
most ski's have a rear step that folds down on the stern ( back end ).

Where are you now

Kinda like riding a bike.
Please do not panic.
isn't it like a motor bike you ride it not drive it lol
Idiot question but, do they have no brakes?
Mine does
not the kinda brakes you have on cars/trucks. they will stop..just not like a car/truck.
As another person mentioned ....
You dont "drive" any personal watercraft ..... Operate
