    About your comment that going back to "simple control stalks" would reduce cost, it wouldn't. More manufactured parts, more assembly. The newer wheels are cheaper.

    Thanks for some good suggestions. Here are a few more-Why do many automakers think a big ass windshield or glass roof is a good idea? I think they totally suck. The windshield blinds you into the sun, and the glass roof makes the car a solar oven. Wow doesn't that sound great. I would really like the Y if not for those 2 things. And forget the X, the windshield is even bigger(worse), and those falcon doors are a total gimmick. I would get an X if not for those 2 things.

    • @nimij1
      @nimij1 18 дней назад

      It's not that bad. The visibility is amazing, and it makes the car feel extremely futuristic and clean. Also, the glass is tinted, so it cools down relatively fast

    2:13 I always love watching The Tesla Space, but this video made me think someone else created the script with the same voice. If Tesla removed most of this stuff that has saved them money it wouldn’t be a compelling car. Putting back the control stalks and some other things you mentioned that took time to engineer was cheaper, more efficient and innovative. That wouldn’t make sense at all. While your at it, Tesla could go back to 70’s or 80’s and have roll down windows and cable adjusted mirrors

    I personally think it's a slippery slope to take. Tesla was great at deciding for the customer and delivering, what in their view is, the best product.
    shifting that decision to the customer only means more options have to be considered in design and production which reduces quality and cost effectiveness. ...

    I would like to see the CyberTruck technologies (drive-by-wire, 48V Electrical System, Etherloop, and Power outlets) migrate to a "Tesla mobile vehicle base (TMVB)". This TMVB (sled) could be provided to other units within Tesla or to third parties to create any number of mobile vehicles from forklifts to tractors and any number of vehicle types in between. My personal favorite would be to put a Tesla Bot onto a TMVB. The Tesla Bot would have wheels (or tracks) instead of legs which would be useful in many situations ... or from the other view point the Tesla "car" would have hands. Tesla Bot AI would interact with the TMVB self-driving AI. Science fiction ... not at all ... just plug and play of subsystems/components.

    Even if Tesla sold this new car for break even, they have potential to make insane amounts of money from so many cars they've made so far and the new ones by lowering the price of FSD to $99/month. No other auto maker has nearly as much long term potential to make this kind of money from the vehicles they sell

    Unfortunately I don't think Tesla's reading the room very well. A small pickup truck that looks normal, has a 300 mile range that you can charge at your house off of solar is the winning ticket. A separate battery pack that charges during the day that you can recharge your smaller truck at night while you're asleep. Yeah it's going to take a FEW panels but it's not going to destroy the grid that can't handle it. Keep it under 35k and they will sell . Make it look more modern like the older El Caminos styles that they're selling down in Australia and you got a winner.

    • @alexlabs4858
      @alexlabs4858 Месяц назад +2

      “A separate battery pack” you know a battery the size of making any type of difference in charging an electric car would weigh hundreds of pounds right. Maybe a small pack to get you an emergency 5-10 miles would be possible but a full separate battery pack would not be very mobile.
