Its also a good idea to carry a portable air compressor to adjust tire pressure, its really important. Btw come show some love to my channel i street drift
Taylor Ray man this couldn't be better timing!!! I'm going to first event in 2 weeks and can use all of this advice!! I'm super excited to try drifting for the first time and I'll be uploading everything on my channel
little tip, for the fire extinguisher, go to Walmart and pick up the one that's specifically for automotive. it's the small compact one and it comes with a mount which mounts perfectly basically anywhere in your car (under the seat, center console area etc). I bought a normal one and had no way of nicely and neatly mounting it. Walmart specifically has this type
Taylor, I think it would be super cool if you had a little harbor freight trailer (4'x4' or so) you could build a tire rack on it, and have room for a tool box and cooler. It would eliminate needing to load and unload all of the stuff in the car. thanks as always for the good content!
Thanks even though I'm a bit late, this video taught me a lot and brought up my confidence a ton. With luck I'm gonna throw down like you at my next event. Thanks for giving me hope, miata power aint bad power.
Have to say such a great video because it answers a big question I've had unanswered lol. But here in California makes it hard to find events but looking to move out to Florida soon so hope to be apart of such an awesome community of drifters! Keep the great videos up Taylor!
lol. I literally carried all the same tools besides the power tools to my first event. All in an old duffle bag. Same tools I carry in the trunk of my daily driver, every day
Cool video, thanks for setting it up for people that are trying to get into the scene. Also, it sounds like you are still doing the multiple microphone rig that you picked up in Japan, that really seems to help with decreasing wind noise, and lets that throaty beast be heard. Keep up the good work!
Very well done. Only thing I think should of been mentioned is learners days. I know not many tracks offer it but it's a great thing to participate in if they do, especially if you're new to drifting as well as track experiences.
This was an awesome video!! I really enjoyed the fact that you went through all the steps, you made it seem really approachable. I also really enjoyed the filming of this video, and the timelapse was very well done. Keep up the excellent work!!
Great video man, very informative. My buddy and I have been looking to start going to events. We are actually in Jacksonville, so we may end up down at OSW! Keep up the great videos!!
I will be going to the summer slide event at osw next month and that will be my first drift event. I just gotta get grafton to help me weld the diff and stuff because i just found out that the guy didn't actually put an lsd in my e46 like he said he did. Can't wait for my first event!
Hey man, I wonder, what's up with your mic ? It's been some time now that I noticed that the audio is over-compressed and is saturating, it's quite annoying :/
This video was very helpful. i am new to flordia since i just came from wisconsin and are rules are different. OSW is my closest event to me and im looking foward to coming out there fairly soon. also is osw good for beginners? Some feedback of be nice!
taylor can you show us where you got that hanging handle and how you mounted it? or he showed it in a video can someone link me the video? I must have missed it.
The one and only thing i'm worried about is people judging me :/ but if i do it in the street its just me and friends and no judging about skill power looks of the car etc.
Goddamn that's strict. At my little track you only need common sense shit like a helmet, seatbelt and a roll bar if you have a convertible. Indianapolis Speedrome, I've got a video from there uploaded, pretty grassroots and pretty fun
2 things, get back at marco, help the brother out. introduce your gf/camera girl. she looks like she was bored as while you were filming, include her haha. other than that, awesome explanations man.
He said he's not going to cage the Corvette, And dedicate the miata to being his "full-on" race car, his Corvette (as he said in a previous video) is going to be his nice car that he doesn't beat on and simply drifts, but of course the Miata doesn't have a cage so he probably isn't going to be in that just yet.
Like this video because Taylor is one of the realest RUclipsrs out there.
Its also a good idea to carry a portable air compressor to adjust tire pressure, its really important. Btw come show some love to my channel i street drift
DIY Garage - 350z lol holy shit I just saw a cr-v drift...threw you a sub my dude
yo Taylor you deserve so many more subs. you're such a chill and genuine person. very rare to find people like you in this world. thanks for the info!
Taylor Ray man this couldn't be better timing!!! I'm going to first event in 2 weeks and can use all of this advice!! I'm super excited to try drifting for the first time and I'll be uploading everything on my channel
Great tips man! Doing my first event next Saturday!

great video . would you ever do a basic how to drift video like going through it step for step etc etc
1:06 Damn marco hitting us with that deep shit.
Joey Daoud true though. that shit happens to me to.
whats up with marco not being in the vids anymore? Do they got beef or something?
Joey Daoud where Marco at did he burn his hair again ? Or beef
I love that they change the layout of the track

this is the video I need. I live on the west side of Orlando and have been thinking of going to Orlando speedway.
Good tips! It's actually really daunting going to any new event and generally their websites will explain everything you need to know.
this is great have a project rx8 that I'm swapping a motor in and will be just for drifting. hard to find in Greenville, sc.
Have to say such a great video because it answers a big question I've had unanswered lol. But here in California makes it hard to find events but looking to move out to Florida soon so hope to be apart of such an awesome community of drifters! Keep the great videos up Taylor!

Killing it as always!!!!
Nice video. Pretty much everything you have mentioned also applies to autocross or trackdays. Although you have to preregister for most of them.
One more thing you should bring would be a big socket for axles just in case especially if your clutch kicking your lower hp cars
To keep directional tires from de-laminating just mount them backwards.
Very well done. Only thing I think should of been mentioned is learners days. I know not many tracks offer it but it's a great thing to participate in if they do, especially if you're new to drifting as well as track experiences.
keep up the good work Taylor! Much appreciation from Australia.
Make a video about your impressions of the new home drift setup!
Oh! And by the way, great vid man!
This is my favorite youtube Channel just solid good content
This was an awesome video!! I really enjoyed the fact that you went through all the steps, you made it seem really approachable. I also really enjoyed the filming of this video, and the timelapse was very well done. Keep up the excellent work!!

I will be going to the summer slide event at osw next month and that will be my first drift event. I just gotta get grafton to help me weld the diff and stuff because i just found out that the guy didn't actually put an lsd in my e46 like he said he did. Can't wait for my first event!

When Taylor was taking about signing in as a driver I was hoping he would say"PRINT AND SIGN PRINT AND SIGN!" like Tyson always says haha
Hey man, I wonder, what's up with your mic ? It's been some time now that I noticed that the audio is over-compressed and is saturating, it's quite annoying :/
Thanks for this vid very helpful
Good information man.
Getting my 370z ready for OSW drift nights
So that curly hair girl after the drivers meeting is taylors girl huh !
i peeped that too lol
kelsey looks unimpressed.
I Just realised how stalker-ish that sounded. I saw a comment on one of taylors videos on insta
pettern96 lmfaooooo on another level
Bout time we see his girl I figured he would have been with kelsey
Great video for beginners
If they acquire pants at the event. Can you wear pajamas pants there?
Dylan Pickle Yes, but then night cap over the helmet is required...
thanks for the vid super helpfull😃
This video was very helpful. i am new to flordia since i just came from wisconsin and are rules are different. OSW is my closest event to me and im looking foward to coming out there fairly soon. also is osw good for beginners? Some feedback of be nice!

The one and only thing i'm worried about is people judging me :/ but if i do it in the street its just me and friends and no judging about skill power looks of the car etc.
Dope vid Taylor. On a side note, that shifter needs to go brodie....
Hey Taylor how do you install the tow thing in your car
Goddamn that's strict. At my little track you only need common sense shit like a helmet, seatbelt and a roll bar if you have a convertible. Indianapolis Speedrome, I've got a video from there uploaded, pretty grassroots and pretty fun
How do you find local car meets??? I've been trying to find one.
Thanks for this video dude ✌🏼 Hoping to do my first drift day early next year, although I don't think everything will fit in my MX5 😂
so is a cracked windshield gonna fail me on tech nearly everywhere?
Thanks for all the info now i can't wait to get a car hahah!!! :D
I don't have to have any kind of extra licensing to drive at OSW?
I can't find any drift events in North East pa
TAYLOR what cape I that?? Just curious??
Fantastic
Forgot ab jack and jack stands
Are gloves ever a requirement?
Taylor, where did you get those green racing gloves?
+assassin72 up garage! Online.
the first time I went to a drift even I forgot my car at home
Do you have to be 18 at most tracks? Or just licensed?
2 things,
get back at marco, help the brother out.
introduce your gf/camera girl. she looks like she was bored as while you were filming, include her haha. other than that, awesome explanations man.
gas is around 6lbs/gallon. 5x6=30
Wuz that's Taylor girlfriend
Why do you roll your windows down when drifting?i mean there is no smoke when its wett right?
de Moritz z I guess it's so the window doesn't bust into billions of pieces if there's a crash
Where's the intro
i thought you said you were going to drift the miata not the corvette
Simon Busby hes said a lot of stuff that he backtracks on...
Christ...pay attention. He said he is not going to cage and drift it THAT MUCH but will still drift it.
He said he's not going to cage the Corvette, And dedicate the miata to being his "full-on" race car, his Corvette (as he said in a previous video) is going to be his nice car that he doesn't beat on and simply drifts, but of course the Miata doesn't have a cage so he probably isn't going to be in that just yet.
im going to my first OSW event Saturday 7/11/20 im nervous as hell. any advise would be great!
How did it go?
