The fact that LaBrie can sound this awesome despite rupturing his vocal cords at one time should earn him some fucking respect around here!
One of the most flawless vocalists out there, espeicially live. His voice is simply on another level.
he had a rough decade or so but he's definitely back. The astonishing album showcases his incredible abilities.
Steve Walsh of Kansas had his voice fail and it took some time to where he could sing again. Of course his was never quite the same.
This is heavily autotuned
Nowadays though.. jesus it's bad
Best performance of Pull Me Under by LaBrie in a LONG FREAKING TIME! Hell, everyone his fantastic! Best recording of it since Live at the Marquee. Seriously though, LaBrie is on his A game!
I must not be the only one who listens to this song at least once a week, maybe twice and sometimes three times... It just never get old.
For LaBrie to be singing PMU as the last song of the night, and hitting all those notes still (fairly well), I thought it was the opener! Can't really knock him can you?
An amazing performance by the whole band! Labrie nailed this one, I just think that he doesn't need that harsh tone that much. I love his clean singing! (:
I reckon in this context the harsher tone works, I personally think he should use it if he struggles in the “Watch the Sparrow” section
He did rupture his vocal cords and is amazing he sounds this good...
What happened to LaBrie? His voice got so much better..
Some of Petrucci's solos make me cry. This is one of them.
James's voice sounds like in the "Awake" album!!! It's great!
James sounds amazing in this song and I don't say that based on the high notes. I say that based on his level of control and revigorated energy on stage. He's always been an amazing vocalist and shows his full potential in this one.
My fucking god I need to go to a DT show.
I'm seeing them on May Day in Minnesota!!!
GlitchySheepGaming I live in MN as well! Where are they playing?
+pbmdh The State Theater. There are still tickets available!
It is an experience you'll never forget...they are the best. I have known them personally since the Majesty days with Charlie Dominici...Their journey is quite extraordinary
Well I'm going to see Shattered Fortress this November with the added unbelievable pleasure of meeting Mike Portnoy himself, so I guess that's the best substitute imaginable, LOL!
Jesus Christ labrie is better than he was all those years ago. He's got his growl back AND THAT VIBRATO COULD MOVE OCEANS.
he did very well with this song but if you watch the video of him perform metropolis in the same concert he doesn't do as well
You mean, God forbid...he's not perfect; or sound just like the studio version. Please...have a try at doing vocals for DT, night after night...year after year, and let's rate YOUR ability
+Юрий Plate - No! Jesus Christ did not sing that night! James LaBrie did! Maybe you saw a show that we didn't!!!
Nowadays he is useless for some reason, no one knows what happend...
His voice is really fucking annoying. Ruins the otherwise good song.
I love the Dream Theater more. Since 2009, I always listening their songs from 1992 up to the latest! I love their music!
They played it very percussively and angrily this time. I am glad to hear this song be played differently.
It's amazing how Mangini plays so precise and true to the original recording. Impeccable!
Nah. Boring drumming. No soul like MP.
@@sebrura lmao okay
@@sebrura 😂😂😂. sure
@@sebrura hahah ur so quirky for hating mangini omgggg
i prefer mp but thats just me
awesome show.....Mangini Rules!!DT Forever...
What a voice, probably the best live version I've heard
so sad, 10 years made its work (
LaBrie is a monster! But Pull me under is a beautiful song.
The vocals of James are really good, the performance was fantastic!
this guy can sing!!!!
Del Rada *can’t
ace marko shutup
I am usually not a great fan of Labrie's live singing but this one was absolutely stunning. So much energy still after all these years!
Song has never ceased to give me chills.
Almost Cried!!!! Best live show!!! Amazing is not enough
Sound quality is simply unbelievable. Awesome work!
They still got it! Running since '92 with this song and never changes! Forever a classic
That's one of my favorite & the greatest song from them.
Am I the only one who replay this song just to see how Jordan Rudess knocks off the keyboard? Hahaha
Hey Dream Theater! I have been a fan of you guys for years, and I really want to thank you. You have opened my eyes, made me see a widen panoramic picture. I love your progressive side, but I also love the pop side, Those soft and emotional moments in the music. As both a vocalist and a composer I feel honored to have had the chance to learn from you guys. So glad that you live in my lifetime and not in a thousand years from now! Keep rocking and please never let me down
You could argue they made you see...
*puts on glasses*
The Bigger Picture.

absolutely awesome!
I think his voice holds up very well!
amazing!Love Dream Theater.
Fantastic! You guys sound so great!
"Pull Me Under"
Lost in the sky
Clouds roll by and I roll with them
Arrows fly
Seas increase and then fall again
This world is spinning around me
This world is spinning without me and
Every day sends future to past
Every breath leaves me one less to my last
Watch the sparrow falling
Gives new meaning to it all
If not today nor yet tomorrow
Then some other day
I'll take seven lives for one
And then my only father's son
As sure as I did ever love him
I am not afraid
This world is spinning around me
The whole world keeps spinning around me
All life is future to past
Every breath leaves me one less to my last
Pull me under, pull me under
Pull me under, I'm not afraid
All that I feel is honor and spite
All I can do is to set it right
Dust fills my eyes
Clouds roll by and I roll with them
Centuries cry
Orders fly and I fall again
This world is spinning inside me
The whole world is spinning inside of me
Every day sends future to past
Every step brings me closer to my last
Pull me under, pull me under
Pull me under, I'm not afraid
Living my life too much in the sun
Only until your will is done
Pull me under, pull me under
Pull me under, I'm not afraid
All that I feel is honor and spite
All I can do is set it right
Pull me under, pull me under
Pull me under, I'm not afraid
Living my life too much in the sun
Only until your will is done
Oh that this too
Too solid flesh
Would melt
2:48 - Petrucci is really feelin' the Mangini vibes.
They just keep getting better!
Flawless.
john p. tone is KILLER here!!!!
BEST video EVER!!
Wow amazing
Wow JLB sounds really good here! Wish he sound like this at every show 😢

Massive sound! I never listen something like that before!
Awesome work from James!!! WOW!!!
am I the only one who replays just to hear James Labrie nail the watch the sparrow falling part lol
No,i'm here for this too
He jusf nailed it
Hell yeah that’s why I’m here, that riff right after is sick af too
rebel militia, u sleeping tight?
Im here for this too. & I love the part and replaying it.
That moment when I thought James LaBrie pulled out a straight-up Ash Ketchum style Pokémon hat for no reason.
I just had to comment that I love the profile pic! Best game in the FF series, IMO
Just hearing the intro gives me the chills up the back of me neck! Just fascinating!
The singing/sound/all the instruments SOUND AWESOME 👍..everything's right on cue..hard to pull off live sometimes!
Is it just me, or is James REAAAALLY improving his live performance, voice-wise?
Can't wait to get my dvd in! Love the way it looks and sounds. Mangini is awesome in this. And I think the entire band haven't been this good for a looong while. Don't wanna rant but I also absolutely do not miss MP's naggy backing vocals. Anyways, haven't been excited like this 'boot DT since Scenes.. Awesome stuff!!
Inolvidable ese recital, va a ser extasiante poder volver a vivirlo con el DVD!
so good ! great mix!
3:02 Labrie nails it!
This makes me wanna go to a Dream Theater concert so bad
Seeing them and Opeth, separately as I did really is a killer live experience.
what a band man mesmising talent and so natural the timing they have althought its all timings love em xx
It’s really great song!! Cool!! Thanks!!
7:16 fack yea
Love both the old version and this new fresh one!
Man, seeing how well he performs this song, then seeing labrie completely unable to hit the high parts 7 years later is sad
LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing... realy amazing...!!!
This is for sure the best version of PMU.
I still choose the 2008 version (the version they featured in Guitar Hero: World Tour) and the original version but this version is really great!
pretty awesome
Kings of music!
Jordan Rudess should change his last name to Rudimentary Badass
You are right ajmaroudas. You can't argue with tallent.
I love ❤️ DT all together I do miss port but love ❤️ magini as well perfect fit + that kit is monstrous!!!!
Who’s looking forward to the new liquid tension experiment album
Jordan Rudeass
Petrucci's solo on this is fucking badass!
One of the greatest bands ever
Amazing!!!!!!!
Jordan is a monster
You need to see how he knocks the keyboard, so beautiful!
Mike is better than Mike.
John is better than John.
Kevin is better than Kevin (Kevin James LaBrie)
I really prefer Mike.
you know I respect your opinion but I really think Mike is just sooo much better dude
Lars is better than...
...um...
Hang on it'll come to me...
Uh...
Fuck it I got nothin.
You are just great!
Love this song .. Agreed ,, Great band
6:59
pull me under?
Pull me under!
Damn LaBrie, your voice sounds like your early years again!
Amazing
long live for dream theater,,love you so much
Mangini really brings a whole new element to Dream Theater. He really drives the music like Peart drives Rush, as opposed to just going through the motions.
No he doesn't and how dare you disrespect Neil Peart like that. Christ almighty. If anybody comes close to Neil's drumming it's Mike Portnoy. Mangini just simply sucks dude. He's so robotic and lifeless drumming it sounds like generic shit. He always fucks up the Portnoy Era songs I cringe. Dude can't even play 6:00 from Awake properly.
Likes Jordan Rudess wizard's hat!
amazing❤❤❤
AMAZING
The mixing is not done very well cuz can't hear the kick drums smoothly :(
glad the kicks dont sound like axes here, but like bass drums as they should
You're saying it's impossible to have good kick drum sound if it's not triggered? Because that's nonsense. I too think it's the mixing. The whole band sounds mellow and too soft here.
Are there more women at a DT show or Rush concert?
+lapirata77 Rush. DT is a total sausage fest.
Awesome
Overall I like Mangini better than Portnoy but I have to say Portnoy owns this song live and really makes it better than the studio version...Mangini is just doing the studio version note for note and it's kind of boring.
MM respect MP, and doesnt want to add more because of toxic fans comparing them
can't feel it anymore..they sounded soft here..unlike the budokan performance and other of their performances with portnoy..its more lively and heavier..mangini is great but..for me nobody can replace portnoy!!
It's not The drummer changing all that. It's the audio production
portnoy is nothing compared to mangini
metalhead6777777
agreed!
+fuNkyou0902 Labrie's vocal delivery wasn't the most impressive here.
fuNkyou0902 nothing like the Live in New York performance in the early 90's
This is what I've been waiting for! This gotta be the best DVD from DT.
Que rolón!!
i'm not gonna say mangini is bad, but i love portnoy's style more :|
They sound much better when Mangini came to the DT Realm....
Nothing to be with Mangini. LaBrie sings better now because his vocal chords are now cured. Except for, he doesn't, for example, at 2:07, you can't even hear the note difference at "sky", because of that ridiculous "rasp" he added.
Heavy metal with keyboards!
Great live performance!
Thanks a lot !! amazing !! james is impressive....thanks for the choice of the song
What a dead crowd. This DVD should have been recorded in Brazil to everyone see the best crowd of the world.
Dream Theater got a hell of a lot better since hiring mangini.
que temazo tan espectacular ❤
Best James Labrie's performance in years , now i can hear and understand each word of the song , i'm very exciting for the release of the full DVD
They decidedly miss Mike Portnoy... Mangini is fast but is not him... the song seems the sweet version of the original... and this sound is not the Dream Theater sound... sad but so true...
You could say the same about Rudess. Kevin Moore was the present Keyboardist during Images and Words album.
Yeah it's different person man, it cannot be the same.
i think you're missing part of your soul. it's good don't get me wrong, but it's just portnoy who happens to have lots charisma.
What a masterpiece
O melhor DVD do DT
compare with portnoy:
Mike Portnoy - "Pull Me Under (In Constant Motion DVD)"
Portnoy is dearly missed
Portnoy's technique sounds more natural, but I think that Mangini is the same level, and playing with a band for more than 20 years makes a big difference
Mango I is an awesome technical drummer, I think he fills the spot perfectly and he made it his own BUT portnoy has a SOUL a groove that I don't feel with magini
Mangini still better...
