- The UCLA Bruins were SHOCKINGLY BAD in the first half of the DeShaun Foster and Big Ten era, getting shutout 10-0 before using a second-half comeback and last-minute field goal to escape paradise with a 16-13 win over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The O-line needs work
Some of the worst decision making from a coaching staff were on display in that first half. Why in God’s name would kick a field goal on 4th and 3 for a 52 yarder against Hawaii!!!??? And that punt coverage was so bad I think my grandma could’ve made the first down on that one.

Bruins barely escaped trap game in Hawaii! Need more focus and is the roster that thin?
First game under a new staff is a crap shoot. Offensive game plan was too complex for what was needed. This combined with terrible line play caused bad first half. Defense won game. Hawaii gets a td before half we don't come back. Two dumb plays put UCLA in bad position. The messed up punt coverage and pick at ent of half. Ten of Hawaii points came off these mistakes. Improvements needs to come fast otherwise 4-8 or 3-9 is likely.
