The defensive ends are the big concern because we lost Laiatu Latu and the Murphy twins to the NFL. Our new defensive coordinator Malloe has been at UCLA for a couple years as a position coach and under Lynn last year. The hope is that the knowledge and scheme that Lynn brought will continue to be a part of the new defense, which should equate to a stable defense coming out the gates.
Hoping the defense doesn’t skip a beat. Most ideal situation. Still will be tough in the new conference but I like that the Bruins will be an underdog this year
@@JoeBroback Joe, I think being the underdog will pay dividends and they will be able to play loose with nothing to lose. The defense will also perform because of the coaching and the schemes will support them in making plays. Eric Bienemy is going to open up the playbook and let them play to their strengths, like the bowl game of Boise State and significantly run the Ball more timely manner. There is a genuine buzz and energy in the program that has the team believing so I would not be surprised if they go 7-5 .. keep up the great work and amazing opportunities will come to your way..
awesome video. great content. I really think foster going to be best thing that ever happen to UCLA. Hope the Rose bowl can get back to how it use to be.
BigTen-context only comparison: from Ucla's 2024 skill players' room, I count a minimum of 6 future-draftable players. Beyond those top 6? 1-2, Or more, may make NFL as UDFAs. Does PSU's set of '24 skill players exceed Ucla's? In terms of future-NFL draftability for '24 PSU's collection of skill players? Tbf, '24 Ucla might struggle to win 4 games. But I bet, w/o looking, only 1 of the other currently projected bottom-5 2024 b1g squads will rival Ucla's skill guys in terms of future-draftability (MichSt). And, that was only focusing on QBs/RBs/FBs/WRs &TEs (FBs r making a comeback on NFL rosters). Enjoy ur content.
"Upon further review": July '24 update re prospects for '24 Ucla fb. cKelly left no legit C on '24 roster + no OL-, IDL- or edge depth. Means 4-5 wins for '24 Ucla. Greatness of below-listed, '24 skill players may be wasted bc of cKelly (due to so-so pass-blocking): WR tmAtimalala: '24 breakout superstar on offense. Wait, what about reuben unije, Left OT from Houston? He's the clear starter. And what about Alani Makihele, 365 # RG from UNLV? Josh Carlin moved to center in spring ball. Do some homework, my friend.
Finally someone who does their research before evaluating UCLA! Great deep dive 🐻
Appreciate that!
1 Of the rare analysts out there that studies the rosters - u can tell by how he rattles off the names (not 'surface' bs & guessing - 😂).

Oledajo played for Ucla in 2023... not call.
Maybe Joe was thinking of S Moore? Whom Ucla imported from Cal? Joe is super thorough.
