Yes, winning is a must but self-confidence is more important right now. The Dodgers have a two-game comfort to bring some confidence back into our pitchers, because is a must in the POST SEASON.

QJ is the 4, definitely is not a starter, Vidal is safe, Spiller is 100% gone, Morris-Brash is not edge4 he is the 5 and is probably the biggest question on the roster other than Jefferson, the linebackers are probably the best player group in the preseason and Lee played well enough to make the practice squad but there’s no room for him on the 53 (and you know that’s true because the 5 guys that made it didn’t play)

Now we'll see if the Chargers really do keep the best players. Justin Ebogbee (sp?) is an easily replaceable talent and should not be kept over other valuable players.

Losing this game hurts and the blame has to fall on Dave for his bullpen mismanagement. We’ve heard Dave and those affiliated with the team (i.e. the AM 570 crew and SNLA desk) preach this idea of “closer by committee” or using guys based on where they are on the “trust tree” that Dave seems to call it. In my opinion it makes no sense to use Kopech in the 8th against the 7-8-9 hitters, maybe if it was their 1-2-3 guys then maybe I could see an argument in using him there. Why not have Phillips (or anyone else for that matter) face their bottom of the order in the 8th and then have Kopech come in to pitch the 9th? What else does Kopech have to do in order to earn that opportunity? Or is that something that can never be earned due to the whole “closer by committee”/trust tree?

Why does Robert’s have to fix what is not broken. I think Kopeck was prepared to come in in the ninth and in bringing him in the eighth was enough to throw him off. Glad to hear you say so. It seems like what Robert’s has been doing in all these post seasons.

I disagree that the Angels are terrible. It only takes one weak spot on team for them to lose every game. You ask me its been the bullpen since the start of the season. Next year the only returning bull pen guys are Stephenson and Joyce.
