Jenna Marbles is a great example of “will I still have supporters even if I choose a different path”. She’s been offline for around 4 years now and still has over 19 million followers with people (myself included) still watching her videos weekly. I think if you have a loyal enough fan base you can still have supporters no matter what.
I was just about to use her as an example. I'm the kind of person that if I love you and relate to you enough, you can be sure I'll be there whenever you decide to post content even after years of being inactive.
“Will yall still be watching me 7 years from now?” Brittany, you have no idea how much you have helped me mentally. I can’t imagine a future without listening/watching you on social media 😭 Brittany you make me feel seen in this world and I can’t thank you enough for it 🥺
I feel the same way, she ponders about things the same way I do, and I feel very heard when she talks about certain topics that I felt no one put enough attention to, she's really full of wonder and love 😭🩷
The fact that I watched Jenna marbles for literally her entire RUclips career should be a confirmation for our Supreme Leader, blessed be her reign. I was pregnant when Jenna left and I literally sobbed for days. She was like my big sister. I had a rough home and she was like my escape .
I started crying hearing her ask these questions. I love Brittany so much and the things she’s done for me, the woman she’s made me. I’ve never felt so heard and seen. The work she does is never ending in my soul
@@ChloeAlexissi thought season one was fun bc there was lots of drama and u got to know the universe, but season two def has a better romance so i get it lol
Brittany, I was a lonely homeschooled/virtual student who lived in the slums of SC and had no friends when I started watching you. I had recently mourned over my grandma's death and spent my days on Wattpad, re-reading the same stupid fanfictions over and over again, getting behind in all of my classes. Your channel and other followers made me realize I wasn't alone. Not to mention you're literally freaking hilarious. Your advocation for students to put effort into their teachings gave me the motivation to do my work and pass. No matter if I grow up and stop watching you, I will always remember your presence and what you did for me. I'll never forget you
DONT FORGET TO CALL AND WRITE TO YOUR LOCAL STATE REPRESENTATIVES!! I’ve visited with both congress members and state legislators and both told me that they only hear from a handful of people! Talking with them makes a difference, trust me! They want to talk to their constituents.
Seeing so many people speak up makes me so hopeful 😭 the dystopia of the Met Gala and celebrities refusing to speak up has been rough… but seeing people like Brittany saying proudly what we believe is so fucking beautiful
Idk I just finished season 3 and I still believe that holds up to be true. Penelope is not a malevolent, hateful person. She loves too much and cares too much, and sometimes that leads her to do the wrong thing but with the right heart. She has been a bit misguided from time to time, but everything she did was to save herself from misery. She's not some evil person. She IS sweet and kind... but she's also young. Young people make mistakes all the time. Besides, compared to 90% of the people in Bridgerton, Penelope is an angel lmao.
The simultaneous feeling of hopeless romanticism as well as female rage, when watching Bridgerton is astounding- I’m telling you I’ve been freaking out over season three coming out tomorrow. I can’t even fathom waiting any longer.
I’m also 27 and I love listening to you because I feel like your questions are very thought provoking for myself. All giggles aside, It’s really incredible to have someone who can mix comedy with being very literate and educated. You talk in a way that’s very well rounded and not pointed and that’s so amazing to me, especially during these times.
I’m 27 too. I’m also in healthcare so I appreciate her helping me broaden my knowledge bc idk shit about art lol . And we have so much fun in the Mean time. I can go on and on like also talking about political issues and feeling seen. I love Brittany too much
I’m a 27 year old artist. Brittany is inspiring me to go back to school. It’s never too late to expand your education when you have the means to do so. 🔥👏🏻💖
Well said! Totally agree, I turn 26 this Sunday and there's so many things that she brings up that makes me think but then 5 minutes later I'm cackling to myself in my office looking like a crazy person. Genuinely, I appreciate the flow of each podcast.
“Will I lose you?” Never, Brittany. Perhaps it’s embarrassing to admit to such a para social relationship, however I consider you one of the people I hold closest to my heart. Over the past two years I have realised I am trans, been thrown onto so many medications, and entered so many dark eras for my mental health. Some days, I would rot in my dark room and the only source of light in that dark room would be you. It would be your laugh, your podcast episodes, your RUclips videos, your interviews. You speak on things I experience in my warped and limited experience of womanhood from your perspective. You have a humour that I just get and will always, no matter how horrible the day, will laugh at. You have been there to make me laugh when my friends weren’t, when my family wasn’t. That’s something special. In return for the healing you have caused for me, I think I’ll never leave. I’ll always be in your corner. Whether you disappear for half a decade to write a book. Whether you go do that Spanish masters. Whether you leave us for any reason, I’ll be waiting in your corner for the time you come back to us to talk. A big para social hug to you right now! Love ya
Brittney you need to watch “Anne with an E”, it is truly revolutionary and displays modern ways of thinking in the late 1890’s setting. The fact that it is through the perspective of Anne who is a young coming of age girl makes it even better because you see just how simple so many of our everyday issues can be if we just have love and hope in our hearts. It is a tear jerker, but oh my god it is worth it.
As a professor, hearing her talk about learning and college like that just about made me cry! Knowledge for knowledge sake is what college, and liberal arts education in particular, is all about! Yes we want you to learn skills for a job, but there's value in *just learning stuff* -- in having those discussions, broadening your way of thinking, finding new ways to see and move through the world in which you exist. Higher education has been forced to move away from that approach, and we're fighting like hell to tell people that learning and knowledge itself has value beyond just the piece of paper and job you get at the end of it.
Lowkey made me realize I’m not getting enough out of my education. I’m a college student now and this made me want to be more active with my professors. I think I’m still learning how to learn, high school did not prepare me for this at all. in high school it’s always encouraged to sit down and shut up and just do your work, and it’s a really difficult behavior to unlearn! I think I just forget why I’m doing this in the first place and that discussion is not only allowed but encouraged as well. Thank you for all you do! 😊
@@tater.thot.8863 you're paying for access to our expertise, and we love when students take advantage of that! Don't put too much pressure on yourself though, college is the perfect place to learn how to learn and to be curious! You're doing great.
I totally agree. But how to you go abt justifying the price of learning when you at the end of the day just need to make money. I’m someone who loves to learn. I’m thinking of going into liberal arts but I just feel so discouraged bc what do I do with that degree? I don’t wanna be jobless and full of regrets. 😔
So you want to go back to the time when higher education was only for the wealthy? Because the only people who can spend hundreds of thousands just to learn for the sake of learning are the ultra wealthy. People need to know that they can get a job at the end of their studies, so you can you know, live
Thank fuck you talked about it. Not “finally” bc I know better, but just I felt like so many of my favorite influencers don’t know how to navigate the conversation and it’s horrifyingly simple- stop this genocide. Period. Thank you as always, fearless leader, loving you
I don’t like how much harassment some individuals have received in regards to not speaking out or speaking enough or saying the right thing. I think it’s misdirected anger. I hope she addressed it because she felt it was what she wanted to do.
What about the hundreds of thousands of other atrocities being committed right now? Is she obligated to speak on those too? Hint: She's not, and the fact that people like you pressure others to give opinions on such things is so gross.
On a serious note, I do agree with you on human connection Brittany. I’m a student in college currently, and I have really started looking at my life. I realize that nobody has true in-person connections anymore. And instead of hiding on the Internet, I want to really fall in love with life. In order to do this, I’ve deleted TikTok, and I’ve started to break down what other social media apps I want to get rid of. Once I’m done, I should only have Instagram and RUclips. But the main goal through it all, is to spend time doing things that are meaningful rather than trying to pass that time when I feel alone. So instead of watching TikTok I have started writing again. Instead of scrolling through Facebook posts, I want to go to the beach with my friends. I will still enjoy some social media, but I don’t want it to control my life. I didn’t start using social media until Covid happened. And honestly, I miss the person I was. So I understand wholeheartedly where you’re coming from. I’m trying to start over and live rather than watching other people take on experiences.
Deleting TikTok transformed my life. Proud of you for taking that step, and wishing you the best with falling in love with your life :) What a beautiful sentiment!
Not no one. It depends on where you live honestly, cities are horrible for humanity. I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. We all know the apps are terrible. We go for walks, hikes, etc with our friends. We sit on the porch and just talk. We have potlucks and silly bonfires. We’re almost all under 30. Once you set your priorities straight, likeminded people will somehow come into your life. You’re definitely on the right track.
And adding to this, my 16 year old son now watches with me, and sends me Broski memes & tiktoks. You really truly sold the deal when you talked about Alex Turner, since he's an AM stan lol
@sol222-ns3cd honestly, it feels a lot like being 27 but with more backpain, guilt, and responsibilities. I genuinely wonder most days how tf I'm in charge of so much stuff when I'm just a baby, then I remember "hey you dumb b*tch you're like middle aged" and then freak out about getting my life together...again. You give significantly fewer f*cks about the small stuff at this age though, and a lot more about the big things. It comes at you a LOT sooner than you'd think. I still make constant penits and butt and fart jokes though. So there's that. The day I stop, my kids know it's time to take me out back and put me down. My life is over if I'm not giggling at butts.
I’m gonna be honest Brittany you aren’t one of those influencers we can all just forget, you’ve always done right. You will always be remembered no matter what you choose to do. You’ve changed everyone so much in such a positive way. Your opinion alone has made me lean to the left a little bit. And trust me I never thought that could happen.
She has NOT always done right. However, that does not mean we forget about her or love her any less. It means we call her out when she is wrong and then watch her grow from her mistakes. She does not get to sit idly by while genocide is happening after saying REPEATEDLY that influencers and celebrities need to use their platform. THAT is wrong. But I am glad that she has been doing more lately.
Even if you outgrow us or we outgrow you, you will always remain a vivid and influential part of my memory and apart of who I am as a person you’re the first person I’ve genuinely kept up to date with because you are someone I respect you’re so real. Love you lots girl
BRITTANY!!! Please keep us updated on your Bridgerton journey😭😭 I’m so obsessed with it and I’m so glad you jumped on the train!!! I’m CACKLING OVER HERE. LOVE YOU!!
I wish I had been more passionate about my studies during university, thank you for talking about the importance of education, curiosity, and literature. I would give ANYTHING to go back and really soak in what my professors had to say. To anyone in school, don't take it for granted!!
32:37 I’m SOOOOO happy she talked about this part in the show and @ 37:28 I also really love her level of education and the way she’s speaks about getting and being academically challenged is honestly so good and enriching for your life and HOW WE LITERALLY JUST DONT GET CONVERSATIONS LIKE THAT OR PEOPLE WHO JUST WANT TO LEARN. My favorite thing in this whole entire world is too learn everything that I can. 40:23 thiss too. This episode just really spoke to me on a academical and economic basis. Also 🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉
Hey Brittany - just so you know. I’ll be 90 years old and still watch and listen and play anything you produce. I’ll be rewatching your podcasts and videos until the last days I am on this earth ❤
SAME GIRL!! Brit's comedy is classic & has massive longevity imo. Especially because she reaches into different sectors (makeup, academia, gaming, travel vlogs, etc)
I'm turning 30 in a month. I've been on RUclips since I was a child, and I still think about the RUclipsrs I watched back then full of appreciation. If they're still around, I still follow them, but if they're not, I haven't forgotten them. I will always be thankful for your impact on my life. Your humor has kept my spirits up in some horrific times. No matter what you choose to do in the future, I have no doubt you will be supported and remembered by your community. Love you, Brittney! You're a gem. Oh, and if you release a book, I'll be the first in line.
Hi, Supreme Leader! I am a member of Broski Nation, but I am also an agriculture student and farm worker. Typically, cattle are castrated at an early age to stop testosterone production. This is because you can taste testosterone in the meat and it affects the flavor. They are castrated with rubber rings called castrating bands, which is currently the most painless and affordable option. As you said, a cow is a generic term for female cattle, typically who have not had their first calf yet. The amount of female cattle on the farm is entirely dependent on wether it is a cow-calf, stocker, or feedlot operation. For example, cow-calf operations would have a much higher percentage of female cattle because their main focus is to produce more cattle. You teach me so much on this podcast about things I would have never learned about without your help, so I thought I would share some of my knowledge with you. Thank you for always encouraging us to learn! 🤠
@@erinkinsella91 The best way I would describe is that it has an “off” taste to it. It doesn’t taste too poorly, but it’s enough of a taste that it lowers the value of the meat. Meat with extra testosterone also makes it tougher than meat without!
This is the most relatable episode of this podcast for me, the part where she talked about this being a part of my routine is spot on, this podcast is the main thing I watch on youtube. Truly loved the insights and topics of this episode
@@EarlGreyMike that was a tiktok. she also addressed the ongoing genocide in an entire podcast episode. not sure why you're here if you don't like her lol
"It's a beautiful thing to watch, under such horrible circumstances." I don't think I could say it any better. It's enlightening as a woman who is part of this generation, and has worked so hard to grow against and away all the hatred and oppression that I know I once took part in. I have a friend from Brown that I met on the S-Watch block of the psych ward almost two years ago, and I saw him front page CNN after the university agreed to vote to divest. I cried at how far we've both come in such a crazy fucked up world. Thank you Brittany for continuing to shed light on these issues.
As a STEM major that is more inclined to humanitarian subjects, the way you described the academic fulfilment regarding debate and discussion makes me yearn for it and I'm still in education. You just don't get that when studying medical subjects and it's sad!
I teach communication courses, and I love having STEM majors in my classes *so much*. They're usually there because they think it's just cool to learn stuff, and they bring new and different perspectives to class discussions. Keep taking fun electives in the humanities when you can!! We so love having you!!
@@marauder08 Thank you so much for this! It makes me glad that STEM students can do this where you teach :). I go to Uni in the UK and unfortunately (to my knowledge) it's not possible to take additional classes on top of our chosen course, so maybe once I graduate I'll just go back for round 2 LOL
Really loved this episode! I'm a 37, autistic, musician, artist, lesbian, Texan and I work from home and am a Doordasher. You made so many good points and I listen to you feel a little less alone I during my 12 hour days. Thank you for your voice and positivity! I love your videos and energy! Thank you, Supreme Leader! 💚
My situationship of 6 weeks just broke things off last night (after saying he wanted a relationship 4 days ago). I need this so bad right now, thank you fearless leader.
i had a situation ship for about 2 years and i recently i just stopped giving a fuck 💀 your not giving a fuck era will come, one who lies isn’t the one
Brittany doordashing crab rangoon at 11:00 p,, eating it after finding a black hair in it and consequently getting food poisoning and being unable to move was the most relatable moment I have had watching this podcast LMAO
Brittany, I am a 21 year old college student studying english creative writing. My plan after graduation is to move to California and write professionally ANYWAYS - I think no matter the amount you post we will continue to enjoy whatever it is. You are a great person and I think it’s all about staying who you are. Fight for what we need at humans yet enjoy the life we have. The fun and laughter is a huge part of that. We must connect and talk and discuss and argue and share our lives with each other. I hope to put this out in the world through my writing and those around me. You have inspired me since the day you posted the damn kombucha video. We love you so much and will forever be here for you ❤❤❤
I am a 42 year old mother from Arkansas and I follow you religiously! I think your demographic is broader than even you believe and I will follow you until YOU have decided you are done. You give me hope for my teen daughter - I love that there is someone in this internet shit storm that encourages educating themselves and personal growth!
watching this in the middle of a mental and emotional breakdown because of college, never imagined it would help me so much and make me re-appreciate the privilege i’m living. thank you babes.
i miss university SO badly, and it truly is a privilege to go through higher education and be surrounded by academics and so many amazing resources and people with so much knowledge. once you leave, you really feel its absence. it's tough as shit but SO rewarding, and if you can keep that in mind then it'll really help you push through the hard times. you can do this!!!
I took a walk today with my dog. It was the first warm sunny day of the season and I had this podcast in my ear while I enjoyed it. I don't think you have to worry about people not tuning in. We listen to you cause you express what alot of us are all thinking but you're alot funnier while doing it.
My Grace, if I may be so bold as to recommend some of the historical dramas that do be bussin (also in no way am i telling anyone to watch any of these, these are shows i have watched in different languages, and wanted to share with people and thought ya'll would maybe enjoy): German: -The Empress (somewhat based on the real story of the early life (in the court of vienna specifically) of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria) English/Scottish (some French in one season): -Outlander (the love interest is a very hot Scottish man, yes. Also quite a long series at 6 seasons so far. The main character time travels from 1960's -ish to 1600's Scotland and is also a doctor. A female doctor in 1600's . . . what could go wrong.) Korean: -Under the Queens Umbrella (Korean politics from the perspective of an empress trying to keep her 5 sons alive and other fun things) -The Kings affection (a young girl having to pretend to be her twin brother after he was accidentally assassinated (they thought he was her), and pretends to be a man) Honorable Mention: -The Makanai: this one isnt a historical drama per say, but its more of a slice of life story of modern day Japanese girls on a journey to become Geisha (which is a traditional art, and a culture inside of a culture) and the main girl learns she has no skill in it, and becomes their cook instead. Also I just realized that absolutely none of these are british 😶. . .
You fall into an interesting catagory for influencers where we're here for YOU. You don't really make specific content like gaming, or cars, or things like that. You're almost like a variety show and variety shows have always been popular.
brittany!!! i am currently wrapping up my undergrad degrees in humanities and spanish and am studying for my lsat that i will be taking at the beginning of june. hearing you talk about the importance of knowledge and learning almost brought tears to my eyes. it makes these last few years feel worth it AND makes me feel excited for law school-something that i keep going back and forth between dreading and looking forward to. i study spanish linguistics (incluyendo la fonología obvia) and have considered getting my masters and becoming a linguist if law school doesn’t pan out. it’s just so cool to hear my favorite internet person relate so heavily to me; i look up to you so much and love seeing myself in you. and just know that if you were to pursue more academic accomplishments i would absolutely, 1,000% follow you throughout the journey. i will be watching and supporting you until my dying day fr
hi fellow broski nation member! i’m also studying for my LSAT (majored in econ and poli sci) and I feel this so hard. wishing you so much success 🩷 excited for us!!!!!!!
I've had chronic pain and fatigue for half my life (I'm 31) ((though recovering!)) which is terribly isolating. I can only socialise in very small amounts, so having my 'comfort people' for company, like you, is essential to my sanity. It's Friday night as I'm watching this, and you've been my company as I've spring-cleaned my flat to distract myself. Weekends are really tough! Watching other people enjoy their free time with a level of ease that isn't currently accessible to me is very painful. Feels a bit cringe saying this but people like you and podcasts like this help to ease that sense of disconnection in a way that feels safe and non-demanding of me. To your comments about the future loyalty of your audience, all I can say is that when you're fond of a public figure, it doesn't matter where they go or what they do, you're always happy to see them pop up again no matter how long it's been. I would imagine many others feel that way about you too! ❤
hey Brittany, I went to A&M and am now getting my PhD in marine science. If you ever feel like academia is what would fulfill your soul, just know you have people out there who would love and support that part of your journey too. You are loved for all parts of yourself, including the scholarly-academically-minded part of you.
Y’all been asleep 70 years or ???? It’s like the ppl that think trans ppl just dropped. This been going on since before we were sperms in our dad’s nutsacs . The world still spins. Ppl still go to work that includes the fashion industry.
thank you for talking about loneliness so transparently too. I sobbed last night because i feel SO lonely in this new world of consumption and it feels so good to know I am not alone. love you say it back
You are not alone 💗 sending so much love and I hope you find the connection you desire in this world. I think you will find so many people feel the same way but it is undoubtedly scary to make those first steps, brother. Wishing you all the best!
I could TOTALLY see you going back to school and becoming an educator! I would love to have you as my professor. I took so many Spanish literature courses in college and I would’ve killed to have someone like you as my prof
the whiplash of britanny talking about the fear of death and wanting to live a meaningful life on earth to busting out singing IM ONLY GETTING STARTEDDDD single handedly pulled me out of my depressive episode. thank you britanny love you ❤️❤️
I’m so excited for you to catch up on Bridgerton (I just binged it last month), and also 7 years from now. Just happy to be in Broski Nation, your grace🫶
This is the first podcast/youtube channel I have ever been dedicated and tuned in to in my entire 30 years of living. I am more serious about Tuesdays than actually anything ever. Amen
for your concern about loosing your community i think there will always be a part of us that will love you, support you and be behind you in every road possible you might take, for example, look at jenna marbles, she stopped youtube and social media altogether but i KNOW her community is still very alive and thriving off of the past videos she left on her account, there’s no such thing as the end of a community if there’s still content available, at least i see it that way but knowing how it affects you really puts this in a different perspective, we understand your worry, at least i do, but i think it’s important you always put yourself first and pursue what you want🤍
You need to add The Gilded Age to your media list. It's late 1800s New York society, and the clash between new and old money. I'm obsessed, it's everything.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO FINISH ALL OF BRIDGERTON!! Like I cannot wait for your reactions, it’s so good, it’s such a you show. Also season 3 part 1 is coming out this Thursday so even when you’re done, a new season comes out right after!! AND ITS ALL ABOUT PENELOPE THANK GOD
Madam Broski, You have played a huge role in my life. I’m new to your channel but I will stay for a long time because you are an addicting human. I just started college which has taken a major toll on me socially but you have been there for me every morning. Thank you so much for what you do. When it comes to content our lives move and flow so much. I know that in 7 years I’ll probably be watching some other creator who will inspire as much as you do right now. That doesn’t mean I’ll stop loving you as a content creator I just won’t follow you as religiously as I do now. I want you to know that as your viewer I’ll be so proud of where life takes you and if that’s no longer content creation then I’ll be okie. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much!
Hope you're taking care of yourself Brittany. The hate on tiktok is not warranted at all. You are not irredeemable for not speaking up earlier. The hate will blow over, just take care of yourself until then, and focus on the positive comments as opposed to the people on tiktok more focused on harassing celebrities than what's actually going on ❤
@@jadenflo2030 Many people on tiktok harassing and badmouthing her with lies like claiming she's a zionist and mass reporting her accounts to try to get her banned.
could not agree more to this! Brittany is one of those people who has shown us time and time again how caring and good of a person she is. The hate is unwarranted and I hope she keeps spreading the good forever
I couldn’t agree more! Brittany is doing all she can to assist the people, but she’s not someone of incredible power. What she’s said is more than enough, and she’s already talked about it, too. Brittany is a sweetheart and I was devastated to see people being so harsh on her.
Hi Brittany! I don’t usually comment but your talk on school and being well read and the importance of your studies was really powerful. When I was in college, I was automatically enrolled into a four semester course called “Great Books Colloquium” as part of a scholarship program. At the time, it was seen by a lot of students as a really long and boring course and a lot of students ended up dropping it, but I stuck it out for 4 semesters and now, 3 years out of school, it is the only course that has stuck with me and had real life implications on the way I see the world. We read everything from Homer’s The Odyssey to the Dante trilogy to Pride and Prejudice to Dostoyevsky to Aristotle. The entire course was completely discussion based and led by the students (with the professor there for guidance and to keep everything on track). Reading the classics was difficult but much more rewarding than I could’ve ever imagined and I still think about a lot of the books to this day. I’ll be going for my Master’s in the fall and I’ve been really stressed out about it, but this episode made me so much more appreciative that I can even pursue higher education as a woman. Love you!
Brittany, I need you to watch Outlander. Absolutely blows every period piece show out of the water. You haven't experienced real obsession until watching this show, it's incredible
Over 50 year old fan here, Brittany! I do ff stuff that doesn’t connect for me (I’m not on TikTok, we have different taste in music, etc)…but you’re fun to listen to (and I’m a Texas native too). Love your spirit! Hope you’re around for a long time! xoxo
I'm 43 and I watch you religiously btw... YT is one of the main things I watch and you are by far my favorite creator... I can't imagine internet without you... I see myself so much in you when I was your age, but today as well... You are such a unique personality in this fake universe and I hope you realize this
Ultimate media recommendation: The Great with Elle Fanning and Nicholas Holt. It follows the origin story of Catherine the Great when she moves to Russia and marries Emperor Peter. It's a historical retelling with a lot of liberties taken, amazing acting, so fucking funny, and genuinely one of the most amazingly written shows I've ever seen. The costumes are also stunningggggg. And it's just a great story of (and struggle between) female empowerment and gentle femininity. 100000/10 recommend
SUPREME LEADER YOU HAVE TO WATCH OUTLANDERRRR - historical drama with Time travel, hot scottish love interest, enemies to lovers (kinda), lots of smut ... I am surprised you haven't seen it yet!!
i’ve been following you since my sophomore year of high school (late 2019->2020), and i’m turning 20 in august and starting my junior year of college in the fall, and my love for you has only grown. you’ll always have me!
Hey your grace, I like to think of you like Jenna Marbles. She’s gone from the internet and has been gone, yet still has such a big community and love surrounding her. You are a very well-read woman, who articulates what many of us here are thinking, wether or not we follow you or do not I think we will always be grateful for you speaking up for a portion of society, and expressing yourself in a way many people either cannot or are too scared to. (It’s 12am and I am incoherent, but regardless you get the gist)
Ok so I NEVER comment like EVER but everything you were saying about, "what will the internet landscape look like 7 years from now," and "will you guys follow me when I'm not a content creator anymore?" and "we are in an era where people are just craving genuine human connection" was genuinely my favorite part of the video. Capitilism and the industrial wealth gap have created this INSANE moment in human history where we literally tore down everything we had naturally, and now are trying to recreate it for ourselves because we're like "oh shit we need that actually". Humans are so silly goofy. ANYWAY all that to say you are the best content creator I have watched in a really long time and I will be so excited to see where you go in seven years. thanks for being a real person on a fake internet. (also side note your ao3 video had me literally screaming i felt so seen)
brittany, you are the most INTELLIGENT person i’ve seen on these platforms that can EASILY work and fully understand both sides of academia and brain rot. the correlation between social media and growing minds will be studied and is being studied, you were there for tumblr and you’re here for tiktok as a #1 performer. what makes you different is that you have always been in the depths of the brain rot- but you choose to learn from it. you can EASILY get a masters in any subject and use your knowledge and experiences of being a media star to write, study, and teach this world we live in!!! you just GET IT!!! this is just the beginning of writing your future thesis☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻
I loved this whole episode but especially your thoughts on college & people not utilizing it as a time to strengthen their intellectual muscles. Also this was one of the emotionally lowest days I've had in awhile but I know when I tune into Broski Report I will laugh out loud several times, at minimum. And it really helps me. Thanks for being here Brit!
The fact that I lisented the whole episode making me company while bursting my thumbs playing cake sort because I felt alone, this episode was a hug, thank you
It's such a shame Outlander has so much SA, it ruined the show for me. I know the books had a lot of it but I find it disturbing how the writers/producers pushed to have such graphic depictions of sexual violence this much when there's other ways to convey it and still have that impact.
I was coming back to say that part too. It is wayyy too violent for me and actually triggered me more than I realized. I would watch it again but would most definitely have to skip a lot of scenes!
Brittany, I love the way you speak and express yourself and your thoughts. Your messages are so clear and REAL. Your greatest trait is how authentic and genuine you are. You are truly a great voice of this time and your discussion of parasocial relationships and companionship changing so much in our technological time period is really something to be talked about. Thank you for being you and talking about the things we all are going through silently each day
The lack of companionship is so evident. I am watching this report while I am currently eating my dinner but typically watch your videos when I get ready in the morning. I feel like you always give me new ideas to ponder, give me a good laugh, and give insightful thoughts that make me feel seen. So in a world where that art is lost, thank you for giving it back to others
Really enjoy the zooming out/critical thought tangents. Asking questions without a need for a concise answer...to just waft in it. A true scholar YOOOOUR GRAAAYYSE
I can watch Brittany talk and talk and talk for hours on end she is such a philosopher and such a smart person i can sit and just listen to her yap and yap and i would never get bored.
Jenna Marbles is a great example of “will I still have supporters even if I choose a different path”. She’s been offline for around 4 years now and still has over 19 million followers with people (myself included) still watching her videos weekly. I think if you have a loyal enough fan base you can still have supporters no matter what.

I had recently mourned over my grandma's death and spent my days on Wattpad, re-reading the same stupid fanfictions over and over again, getting behind in all of my classes.

Never, Brittany.

Anne with an E is such a beautiful show and the way it portrays the time period is enlightening to see how girls then felt just how we do bow

What does testosterone meat taste like? 😖
@@erinkinsella91 The best way I would describe is that it has an “off” taste to it. It doesn’t taste too poorly, but it’s enough of a taste that it lowers the value of the meat. Meat with extra testosterone also makes it tougher than meat without!

My Grace, if I may be so bold as to recommend some of the historical dramas that do be bussin (also in no way am i telling anyone to watch any of these, these are shows i have watched in different languages, and wanted to share with people and thought ya'll would maybe enjoy):
German:
-The Empress (somewhat based on the real story of the early life (in the court of vienna specifically) of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria)
English/Scottish (some French in one season):
-Outlander (the love interest is a very hot Scottish man, yes. Also quite a long series at 6 seasons so far. The main character time travels from 1960's -ish to 1600's Scotland and is also a doctor. A female doctor in 1600's . . . what could go wrong.)
Korean:
-Under the Queens Umbrella (Korean politics from the perspective of an empress trying to keep her 5 sons alive and other fun things)
-The Kings affection (a young girl having to pretend to be her twin brother after he was accidentally assassinated (they thought he was her), and pretends to be a man)
Honorable Mention:
-The Makanai: this one isnt a historical drama per say, but its more of a slice of life story of modern day Japanese girls on a journey to become Geisha (which is a traditional art, and a culture inside of a culture) and the main girl learns she has no skill in it, and becomes their cook instead.
Also I just realized that absolutely none of these are british 😶. . .

You are loved for all parts of yourself, including the scholarly-academically-minded part of you.
with the met gala this week has felt fkin dystopian i'm gonna be honest brit i'm TIRED girl
I’ve seen people say the met gala rn is like The Capitol in The Hunger Games and I got fucking chills
Y’all been asleep 70 years or ???? It’s like the ppl that think trans ppl just dropped. This been going on since before we were sperms in our dad’s nutsacs . The world still spins. Ppl still go to work that includes the fashion industry.
your grace, i’m going to need a second by second update on your bridgerton journey. ESPECIALLY season 2 and 3😩
thank you for talking about loneliness so transparently too.
You starting Bridgerton is the best thing…I’m a super fan I have so much merch it’s crazy! LADY BROSKI WELCOME TO THE TON!
I could TOTALLY see you going back to school and becoming an educator! I would love to have you as my professor. I took so many Spanish literature courses in college and I would’ve killed to have someone like you as my prof
the whiplash of britanny talking about the fear of death and wanting to live a meaningful life on earth to busting out singing IM ONLY GETTING STARTEDDDD single handedly pulled me out of my depressive episode. thank you britanny love you ❤️❤️
The way we said “lord have mercy I’m bout to busst” at the same time has me screaming 😭
Amen
for your concern about loosing your community i think there will always be a part of us that will love you, support you and be behind you in every road possible you might take, for example, look at jenna marbles, she stopped youtube and social media altogether but i KNOW her community is still very alive and thriving off of the past videos she left on her account, there’s no such thing as the end of a community if there’s still content available, at least i see it that way
but knowing how it affects you really puts this in a different perspective, we understand your worry, at least i do, but i think it’s important you always put yourself first and pursue what you want🤍
The amount of times we’ve revisited cow terminology and Brittany never remembers or retains is so hilarious
This is the last podcast episode I'll watch while in high school.
I graduate on Saturday.
Wish me luck
congrats on graduating!!!
I cant figure out how she hasn't been obsessed with Outlander! It ticks all her boxes!
You need to add The Gilded Age to your media list. It's late 1800s New York society, and the clash between new and old money. I'm obsessed, it's everything.
The way they spent an ENTIRE episode just f#@king all around their house. Clutching my pearls.
Madam Broski,
You have played a huge role in my life.
From the bottom of my heart thank you so much!
i’ve been WAITING for our dearest leader to tune into bridgerton, now i’m fucking EXCITED!!!!! season 3 is soon and i can’t CALM DOWN!!!!
Hope you're taking care of yourself Brittany. The hate on tiktok is not warranted at all. You are not irredeemable for not speaking up earlier. The hate will blow over, just take care of yourself until then, and focus on the positive comments as opposed to the people on tiktok more focused on harassing celebrities than what's actually going on ❤
what hate on tiktok?
@@jadenflo2030People are literally calling her a genocide lover it’s absolutely absurd
I had to stop watching it early on bc it has the most rape scenes out of all tv series..it was ROUGH and no one talks about it.
I was looking for an Outlander comment!!! Jamie and Claire oml 🥵
@@touchmossforreal. it was so triggering
outlander changes the period piece game. I binged that series like no other
The books are great too
Over 50 year old fan here, Brittany! I do ff stuff that doesn’t connect for me (I’m not on TikTok, we have different taste in music, etc)…but you’re fun to listen to (and I’m a Texas native too). Love your spirit! Hope you’re around for a long time! xoxo
I cannot WAIT, for the next pod when she’s inevitably watched season 2 because I know she’s gonna EAT IT UP
brittany... if you ever published a book, i myself could peacefully go gentle into that good night
that's so real
😁👍👍
SUPREME LEADER YOU HAVE TO WATCH OUTLANDERRRR - historical drama with Time travel, hot scottish love interest, enemies to lovers (kinda), lots of smut ... I am surprised you haven't seen it yet!!
i’ve been following you since my sophomore year of high school (late 2019->2020), and i’m turning 20 in august and starting my junior year of college in the fall, and my love for you has only grown. you’ll always have me!
Begging for an Outlander watch- you’re gonna love Jamie Fraser 😭
I was just about to comment this. Just finished watching season 1 and omg
You are going to be hooooked! I think there’s a new season coming too!!!
I want to rewatch outlander now too 😭😭😭 Jamie is so hot
thanks for the rec im gonna watch this
YES! But I stopped watching after a couple seasons cuz it went downhill haha but the OG seasons are SO GOOD
Hey your grace, I like to think of you like Jenna Marbles.
I cannot WAITTTTT for you to watch Bridgerton season 2 omg you’re gonna love it. Enemies to lovers/forbidden romance TO THE MAX
The fact that I lisented the whole episode making me company while bursting my thumbs playing cake sort because I felt alone, this episode was a hug, thank you
Jumping off my kangaroo, riding a dingo off a cliff, and having a koala pull me up to my tree house i am ULTIMATELY L-O-C-K-E-D IN!!!
FELLOW AUSTRALIAN BROSKI NATION ?
Let’s goooooooo
watching your videos is so liberating because you say most of my thoughts and its like I'm hangout with a friend
This is how she reacts to Bridgerton, I just know that she wouldn't be able to recover from Outlander.
Yessssss!
Hahaha my mom (who LOVES outlander) was listening to this with me and she went "I wonder if she's watched outlander" 😂
It's such a shame Outlander has so much SA, it ruined the show for me. I know the books had a lot of it but I find it disturbing how the writers/producers pushed to have such graphic depictions of sexual violence this much when there's other ways to convey it and still have that impact.
Exactly what I was thinking!
I AM CURRENTLY ON THE POT READY TO RIDE BABES
BROSKI NATION IN OUR BRIDGETON ERA LETS GOOO!!!!
Thank you for speaking up for those who can't #freepalestine #behuman
