as someone who has lived in the south for 6 years southern people are way nicer when you bring out the southern twang with them. I was helping out at the hotel my mom works at and this old southern white lady was being rude to the front desk agent that didn't have a southern accent (this was in savannah so there's people from all over that live there) and as soon as I walked over there and said "hello ma'am what seems to be the problem today what can we do to fix it" in my southern accent she immediately stopped being rude and was actually helpful with what she needed to solve her problem. so I Brittney is right when she said that being southern back to them is what gets the best results
