Joe Schmidt has a team he can work with. Sure there are things which need fixing, but there are options. The game was good to watch, despite some of the refereeing. The game was really tight until the 50 minute mark or so. Skelton not being there did bring down Australia's physicality some, but I think that might have been a necessary change, as his body probably felt like it went through the ringer.
    Obviously not Australia's proudest day, but keep heart; we know that this team isn't perfect yet and that they are going to make some mistakes.
    The last twenty five minutes where Scotland pulled away was relatively poor, but that is down to pressure, fatigue and just being sore. After the intense forward battle, Australia simply had no has in the tank left. To a player, that severely impacts your ability; it ruins your focus, it diminishes your handling skills and limits your decision making ability.
    Scotland played a very good game and absolutely the right strategy against a side with Australia's strengths.
    Well done to the Scots and keep at it for the Wallabies.
    Oh, and there is some good news for my Aussie friends, at least it's not as bad as the cricket... 💀

    Wildkard you will have to prepare yourself for match Aust. v Ireland cause the frustration will be a lot more. Refs and Irish players cheats every visiting side in Dublin. Refs has to stay in World Rugby's good books as Dublin is their head quarters, to get appointments.
    Lately Argies was completey cheated out if it with 3 tries of Ireland should have been disallowed, two because of Irish cheats, ref Paul Williams.
    Then v Fiji woman ref H Davidson was a total disaster. Four illegal tries after double banking in line-outs, Dori s, Casey, G McCarthy no. 2, Kelleher.

  • @gj7392
    @gj7392 День назад

    This loss is primarily down to schmidt not rotating the players. It has been a very long season off the back of RWC and guys like Bell are clearly tired. Rassie has used 50 plus players this year for that reason but Schmidt seems intent on grinding our top players into the dust. He is a good technician but a poor international coach as first two jobs of international coach are player selection and development.
    For example, Sio and Ainsley both playing well for Exeter and Lyon at prop. AAA and Nongoor are poor scrummagers and would be better off going for Ainsley and even using Pone who is not a great scrummager but is a much better ball runner than both of them. Get Pone to France to practice his scrummaging. Latu also playing well for La Rochelle at hooker and is a good scrumager. Perese playing well for Leicester and has good defence. Kerr Barlow is also eligible and has a better kicking game than McDermott who was woeful and bombed a try. Similarly, Wright is a confidence player at 15 and when he is off he is way off. Bring in Hodge for his enormous boot to help calm things down and support Noah. Also use Amatesero and Philip at lock.
    I worry it only gets worse as the lions season is next with a lot of hard games and schmidt doesn't get it. Reminiscent of Eddie Jones killing the England players after their initial success.
