Looks great, no doubt. I think many owners will be very happy with the results. I'm sure it would spiff up our RV and Jeep. But for us, we just can't afford something like this. But, as it turns out, perhaps not really necessary. We are on our 14th year of full timing, all over the country, all sorts of weather. I wash the RV perhaps twice a year, using not the best, but a little elevated quality car wash soap. The full body paint is one of those combinations, that after a rain, it looks really good from more than 6 feet away. After washing, it does look close to new. No fading, clear coat is solid except for some spots on the curve of the fiberglass on the roof edge. We have a few brush marks from our encounter with bushes and low hanging trees over the years, but we still get complements all the time, even though I have never waxed the entire RV, yes, a few selected spots, and the bug covered front from time to time. Considering our budget, and my satisfaction as to the RV's appearance, I think I will just keep doing what I have been doing. But I do enjoy seeing the state of the finish industry, always informative.

We knew about ceramic coatings when we purchased out truck and RV. We went straight from picking up the truck from the dealer and taking it straight to the ceramic coating place. it worked out cheaper because there was minimal paint correction to be done.

you mentioned an East Coast tour coming up. I'll offer two ideas. Newfoundland coast line run is great. Several youtude videos of the features and drives. Second is 1000 Islands State Park. have a couple of pictures but have to figure out how to get them to you
I thought it was a well thought out video that explained the whole process to getting an alternative home for 5days. The perspective with what they could do with your 3 year old and the pin stripping on the trailer was amazing. The air stream community is rather tight and hold a pretty high standard for their rigs and service. Vinny’s is a class operation with upmost integrity. I didn’t catch whether you were compensated at any level, and frankly don’t care, I felt your detailed explanation and video was useful information for anyone considering this process, including costs.

I hope it works out great for you! 😀 If you've ever watched Andrew Steele on YT, he reviews Prevost & other high-end RV's, and he was and still is a professional RV detailer. He said the RV's that had ceramic coatings were impossible to get clean up to his standards. That was a couple of years ago, so maybe they have made some good changes since then.🙂

I noticed his older ones he was kinda against at first because it was new to him and then his newer ones he really saw the benefits of ceramic coating. Nice video. I can remember people doing this to their own boats. Very labor intensive but sure turned our shiny. No doubt today's products are probably much improved. Been tough being stuck here this winter but great that it has been a non winter. People tell me it is a make up year from the holy hell that was last winter. I wonder how much time was spent down on Water Street by a young Chris?

Good questions! It really is a lot of information! The waiting list you'll have to contact www.masterappliedcoatings.com (contact form on bottom of homepage) You can definitely get it on non full body paint to protect that fiberglass from chalking and fading! One con I read about was water spots from hard water. But it's not a problem if you dry your vehicle after washing. Thats why I used the leaf blower and we've had no issues...its so easy! Also, don't worry about rain because it's not hard water and it dries clean. Some professional washers also use deionized water that doesn't leave spots either.

Wow, does that look great. Will this help protect you against future pin striping in the woods, or would you eventually have to have it redone? I just bought my van and am awaiting the build. Maybe after I pick it up, I could get it done. Sacramento isn't all that far away.
Thanks! It will help against minor scratches, but it really depends how deep they go. It might just end up scratching the ceramic coating and then those can get fixed if wanted. Congrats on the van!!! 🎉

There is ceramic coating and graphite coating as well but it's cost a lot more than ceramic I have done 4 5th wheels with ceramic coating and clay bar
My first priority is to get that forever roof that Grateful Camper got on their Fleetwood. No more maintenance on the roof including no seals.

Thanks for sharing! I have heard that there is no real weight gain. The ceramic is very thin coating and not thick like paint.

But we don't recommend it! We had to be close for filming so we were kinda in a lower rent area off of Tennessee St and Amelia Circle. Lots of college kids and lower income rentals. It was safe and fine, but not very relaxing or nice. House was from the 60's and felt like a college house. 🤣 I would recommend finding an Air B and B in a little nicer residential neighbor hood. We paid about $75 bucks a night for reference.

My wife and I are looking at either ORV 19MKS or Oliver Legacy Elite II twin bed. I’m look at the F250 Tremor Diesel for towing. Would you recommend the Tremor Diesel?
This is a really timely question! Our next couple videos are going to be just about this. But to answer your question if you are staying at this smaller weight and never going bigger, you should be good with a F250 diesel(but you don't know till you weight. How many people, pets,gear,tounge weight,etc). It will tow a 8250lb trailer well but you might close to your GVWR. Our ORV was 10k lbs and our f350 Tremor was perfect. If you can get a F350 over an F250 you will have much better GVWR and payload numbers though. For example we have friends with a 2015 F250 and they tow a 7500lb Airstream and right at the GVWR of 10k lbs for a F250. This subject get very complicated and to be sure you need to look at the numbers for your truck and RV.

@rodneywilson236 26 will be here in no time! The Tremor has been great. A couple recalls and one little coolant leak from a plastic connector that was covered under warranty. Spoiler our Tremor is not quite enough for our 5th wheel. Also, if you’re looking at 23 or up Tremors they raised the GVWR by 500lbs. So the new f250 tremor can have around 3000lbs payload. Plenty for smaller rvs. But 5th wheels put so much weight over the rear axle a tremor is not ideal. 👍

Hey, did they ceramic coat the slides? I was told not to have the slides done because they would be so slick the seals would not work properly? Just wondering if that is true.
Yes, the slides (side walls and front) are coated as well. I wouldn't see it being a problem as the way the slides close and put even pressure on the seals. Now I guess I'm not 100% sure the back of the flange where the seal actually hits is coated. But, either way no seal issues going on for us.
@@IreneIronTravels we are having our coach coated as we speak in red Bay Al. The shop told us that tiffin said not to coat the sides of the slides because they would be so slick that the seals would not flop back and forth when you move them in and out. I guess I just may need to call the manufacturer and confirm . Thanks for your response ! Your Rv and truck look awesome!

I got my new F350 ceramic coated. It cost $2500. If I had more money I would do the RV. We just can't afford the price to do the RV. I recommend anyone who has the money to do it. If you can't afford it you can use spray on SiO2 sealants that will give you about 6 months of protection. You have to reapply them to keep the coating up.

@@IreneIronTravels It's nice. Like you said it's easier to keep it clean. If you ever have to wash your truck at a park that won't let you use your pressure washer check out P&S Absolute Rinseless wash. You can wash your truck with 5 gallon bucket of water and it comes out looking great.

Hey guys, I’ve been watching your channel for many months now and wanted to ask how the Alliance is holding up? We’re going to purchase a travel trailer in the next year and have been seeing all the post about bad quality in manufacturing of many brands. So we thought Brinkley might be the one to get. But wanting a travel trailer instead of a 5th wheel we have yet to see Brinkley introduce a floor plan we like. Alliance Delta 292RL would be a nice fit for us design wise.

Hey guys! Yes, we’re still loving the Alliance! The RV is holding up well, but we have had more little warranty issues than I would prefer. A lot of manufacture issues. The stove, microwave, awning, nautilus panel. We haven’t been in a Brinkley yet, but I have seen some issues come up in the groups. It seems most of the RVs use a lot of the same parts. We’ll be doing an update on RV soon!

Yeah I’m starting to see some issues with the Brinkley getting posted too. We absolutely love the big windows that all open in the Alliance Delta.

Do they offer a guarantee or warranty that their ceramic lasts a lifetime? I have a few of my cars ceramic coated, as stated makes them look better, easier to clean and protects the paint. I haven’t gone down that road in my RV yet,
I don’t think they have an actual warranty or guarantee, but it might be best to ask them directly on that. 👍
I will reach out to them. When I had a few of my cars ceramic coated they would guarantee the coatings hydrophobic properties for 5 years. Stated if the car is garage kept 7-10 years is possible. I would like to get my cornerstone coated which we live in full time.

Have you noticed any water spots on your truck since this ceramic coating has been applied? Safe travels
You don't get water spots from rain. But if you spray your vehicle with hard water and don't dry it you will get water spots. Thats why I use the leaf blower. you can dry a truck in about 5 minutes! Works great and no water spots.
You'll still get water spots. True ceramic coatings are fantastic but they aren't as amazing as some will claim. Our truck is coated with R1 while our Shelby is coated with Beeds. The coatings make washing the vehicle much easier as much less crap sticks to it. The Beeds has a slicker (almost silky) feel to it but they both bead up and sheer/shed incredibly well. The truck has only been coated 6 months now but the Shelby about 3 years. I go in twice a year for "maintenance" visits where they check everything out (I wouldn't go longer than that between visits to my detailer regardless of what is on the vehicle). Both vehicles are black so EVERYTHING shows instantly. The truck lives outside and gets it's share of spots if I'm lazy on the cleaning front; the comments about rain not leaving spots may apply in some regions but certainly not all as our atmosphere has all kinds of crap in it. There are acidic products that dissolve the spots without affecting the ceramic. I just had to get the truck taken care of because of spots but it looks perfect again.
@@madweazl definitely I have Gtechniq ceramic coating On my black GMC 3500 Denali...still get water spots after a rain especially on flat surface like hood. I give extra attention to maintenance of the hood
It looks great, but we just can't justify the expense. Compared to the cost of having our rigs waxed 2ce/year, it doesn't pencil out.

Not sure how anyone can claim that lifetime. They haven’t been doing it very long.
Highly skeptical of the lifetime claim without maintenance for sure. My detailer said it will last a lifetime when taken care of but I'm not aware of anything on this planet that lasts a lifetime without maintenance.
Why did you have to be in biking distance? Oh wait you got the truck treated too that wasn't obvious at first.

Any true 9h coating will need to be sanded off. There’s nothing special about this coating, it’s all a sales gimmick.
Not to mention a gullible crowd to draw from. True transparency will reveal what the other YT channels paid-$0- , just an outlandish claim and if Vinnie backs up the claim in a written contract for a lifetime without fail. Then comes the gotchas- you scrubbed too hard, you went to a auto wash in an emergency, your water wasn't filtered enough- get real it is called life.
