Growing up half Armenian living north of LA and not really connected to the history and culture of my Armenian heritage it was cool discovering this band when Toxicity came out and going back and connecting to the culture through the music. Love System
Growing up in the hood when I first heard this I was mind blown and fell in love with hard rock. This is one of my favorite bands that just get you out of your funk.
As a 47 yr old black guy that lives and loves music. Grew up listening to everything that we're "not" supposed to like , makes me feel good to see more of us discovering and accepting "non traditional" stuff. Nothing feels as good as rocking out w my 3 sons and 2 daughters and knowing that they live this stuff because of me. Good on you bruh for stepping out of the familiar.
We should all listen to whatever we like. I listen to rock, rap, hip hop, metal, techno, dance, country, pop, punk, you name it. One time I can so easily switch from Metallica, Korn and System of a down to Snoop dog, Ice cube or even Backstreet boys and Madoona if I like. Music is Gold.
