I've learned to love armourstacking past couple leagues and honestly seeing life jugg be potentially that good gave me the idea of going boneshatter -> life AStack jug next league. I've done only scions so far but tbh the early transition from twink leveling hollow palm gear into budget doryani's is pretty painful (flask mana cost nerf didn't help). And then having to spend next 10-20lvls in constant fear of blue donut boys until you can afford grasping mail with good mods. But pouring currency into one char to keep making it stronger and stronger is so much fun. Keep up the good work man, this channel is a treasure!
Yeah if Doryani’s wasn’t a transition it would be a viable league start. I just run another build until I can purchase the grasping mail and then straight up drop a few divs on power leveling once I finish the campaign. I’d love it if I could get out of having to build another toon but I hate Doryani’s with a passion because of the lightning degen weakness.
Can you make a video about how do you make currency by seperating the league as start-mid-late? You explain the build very well but I dont know how to make that much currency to go armour stack at day 3.

I agree with that scion transcendence+ES is best. since it requires a very large investment, it also provides motivation to play the game for a long time. prob jugg low budget is my next starter :) thanks for the info
Planning on trying the low budget jugg next league. Was going to try armor stacker this league, but ended up skipping the league entirely. Excited to try it out though, thanks for the great guides!

Crucible tree replica DF content? My off-handed sword used to be increased atsp and less global damage in Crucible league. But I switched to chance to deal double dmg and less atsp 2 months ago and felt killing boss faster. Don’t know why.
I played Scion many times, overall my favourite but I really like how Chieftain ascendancies and skill tree have synergy with Armour Stacker, the real problem is CI, I wish the mechanism to change keystones placement would go core to allow more flexibility.
Thanks a lot for all the work you do, I found your videos while looking to try a build so starting this for the first time. It’s a lot more difficult on console to get items plus I’m not rich or even close but I was wondering with the grasping mail, does evasion overcapped cold work at all if it doesn’t come with overcapped fire too? Ty and keep up the great vids, I would be lost without them.
Yea for just stacking armour, cold overcap is good with purity if ice and even aegis for the max cold res synergy. However it's hard to get lots of fire res to make the fire mastery Regen work.

I was considering a build that's still a bit in the theorycrafting phase. It's designed to start a little budget, but transcendence Chieftan with Eternal Damnnaton. Basically you armor stack and get 35-40% DR from chaos res as well. Then use bloodnotch tech for a lot of recovery.
Would you have any quick thoughts on something like that?

Does still works when you have more than 100% phys as you are take no damage from bleeding ?

As allways it's a pleasur to get the notification about a new video ! :) I tried all the HIGH versions and they are all smooth. I have just some troubles to make the transition from zero to hero. I mean, i feel very squishy at the beggining (lvl 85+) on all classes, getting OSed by rares. I dont know how to avoid this probleme in the futur. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. For my feedbacks : I did start Champion (Doryanis) on every ligue. It's cheap as F, dmg are insane and u can farm tons of div without problemes. But u have to take care about many things. I started as a Chieftain and the OS where everywhere ! I dont know how to transition the chieftain too. He is my favourite for sur, but early mapping is so hard bcz we have no phys mitigation. I never tried the Jugg version, so maybe i ll do it next ligue. So hypped. And the scion, nothing to say, she is broken as F !!! But she needs tons of currencies. It's the final goal for me when it's the ned of the ligue, trying to make an insane geared scion.
Suggestion for an other video : steps to go from zero into starter version (early mapping, what we should focus first to survive or getting dmg) into pre-mageblood.
Keep the good work, I thinked about quitting PoE one year before, bored of every builds, then I find your videos. Thx for everything.

@@Bigdaddytehpwnerereerr honnestly, while starting the chieftain I died on any pack of magic or rare monsters when they hit me at close range. I dont remember if they had phys overwhelm but bcz I died on almost every maps, I dont think i rolled the mode on all maps. Can't be so unlucky i guess. I thinked about convert phys taken as elem but I never felt so squishy againt physical than playing the chieftain as ligue start.

I've always wanted to try armourstacking since I love the skill Smite, but I'm so bad at making currency in this game and being an armourstacker means that you need a lot of money. Really wish that there is a cheap variant.

I do play Armour Stack on Spliting Steel, life Jagg, rly low inv, with decent ehp at 380k (with divine flesh and 76% max reisits), 130 mil dps.
I do prefer spliting steel over molten strike because it have more clear speed with pierce on glove / gem (for map pierce support, for boss cruelty), and is much cheeper to build over smite.
I will love to see your opinion for this Arm Stack on Spliting, can u try it plz?

Is it really worth it focusing more on Evasion than on Armour? i get that double dipping is strong, but lets say i only want to use some armour stacking as a defensive layer, not as an all in mechanic. And i only have room for 1 of the 2 auras, either grace or determination. determination gives 50% MORE multi while grace only grants 30%. so even with some double dipping, there arent that double dipping notes on skilltree to make up for the missing 20% more multi right?

Have you ever considered going for Scion hexblast as a league start instead of your normal inquisitor? Just to save leveling another character, especially since going ascendant requires a fair few levels past campaign before transitioning to armour stacker.
Yea I did, but it's gonna cost a bit more than inq. I don't mind releveling as I usually start doing maps when I reroll anyways. By the time I get my 2 watch stones I'm usually lv 90 so it works out. Rerolling isn't too bad, takes like 4 hours.
That 36% phys taken as while under purity of elements is nasty, couldn't find anything like that even in trade in standard...

i dont know how scion have more dps than chieftain. chieftain can litteraly have a double overcap armor stack grasping mail. get both fire and cold overcap vs scion who just get fire overcap. can you explain ??

Hey, great video, but I was really hanging out for the Doryani's build overview. I'm trying to build it now on scion and wanted to see why it doesn't stack up to the other builds. The effect of the armour crushing enemy resists down to negatives with zero cursing/exposure/etc... seems really, really strong. Why does it suck so bad? =P
For the amount of investment is a really good build! The problem is some content is unplayable due to oneshots from degen. I use it early league to speedfarm conqueror invitations, very good way to farm currency to fund the real build: transcence.
It sucks because the blue circle lightning guys that randomly spawn on top of you will one shot you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
There are also bosses you just cannot do.
Lightning hit is fine: lightning degen is not.
You build this build because you want to *avoid* being one shot, but Doryani’s makes it so that it happens about as often as a squishy build, as there’s basically no warning at endgame before a giant blue circle is on your character.

What about abusing aura mines on trickster with ff jewels?
Looks like armour stacker gets a ridiculous amount of increased damage, pyroclast of sabotage mines on sab/trickster can give you 3.5k base fire.
Was well explored on arma brand recallers this league and somewhat on bama sab.
Would likely have to use totems from QoL point(what even works with 1-h swords and totems? consecrated path totems?) and/or limit to bossing but would be interesting to see some potential numbers...
Mb would help get that poor trickster at least hundred mil or sth.
Is Pathfinder not viable at all? The flask effect increases the armour multipliers on your flasks (as well as res & max res). You could then either get 20% phys taken as cold reliably from ToH, or potentially even go life-based and uber-juice recovery with Master Surgeon.
Yes might be ok... I just don't think it would ever be better than scion or marauder.
The main reason Scion is the best is because of the extra skill points. There’s basically no other build that uses every single skill point extremely well but that one does. There’s zero slack in it.
And Unbreakable is the only reason Jugg is even competing.
id love to try armour stacking, but i dont like just dealing meele damage. is there a way to get better screenclear with armour stacking? i prefer builds like coc, wardloop, etc. nice walking simulators xD
Lightning strike of arcing has great clear, its used as an alternative for mapping and then u swap to molten strike for bossing.
you can do splitting steel as well
@@bingbong8961 not for me. ls was just ok back in the day, but with the projectile nerf and the weird fact that the projectiles cant even cross over gaps in terrain like other projectiles makes the skill feel horrible for mapclear.
I’ve honestly not had much of a problem with MS. You attack anything on the screen and the whole screen dies. It’s not the walking simulation that Ward Loop is, but it’s not bad either. You’re really stuck with melee because of the Dreamfeather being where your DPS comes from.

if you were talking about LS, you dont attack anything on the screen. any terrain, even if its a hole in the ground, for some reason block your projectiles. its only very few projectiles now and they only leave you in a cone. so you have to aim.
if you have a meele skill that explodes the whole screen pls let me know. i HATE aiming to kill for some mobs i missed

I swear, chieftain is just better. Not even for the free links, just for the two resistance notables. Those alone just make him better. No need for melding and no need for anything but fire res. I play SST in standard and with the tattoos and crazy items available, you don't even need unbreakable.
You do need unbreakable or transcendence if you want to tank uber boss hits. There is no just way you can mitigate enough with just 90% resistance. You would need a giant life or ES pool. For most things, though, you would be right. You can probably do most T16's super juiced and will die sometimes depending on altar selections (such as minus fire/chaos if life) or 250% physical as chaos or fire damage, etc... The reason unbreakable and transcendence (the latter is even better if you can gain 100% physical taken as ele or chaos if ES) is so damn strong is that it double dips on defense. Armour can only mitigate 90% of damage. So if something hits you for 100,000, even with 90% armour, you will still take 10,000 damage. If your life/es pool isn't 10K, you die. If that 100,000 hit crits, with base, it does 130,000 and now you need 13K life/ES to survive. If you can shift that damage to elemental, you can applies resistances to it first. So the mitigation becomes 90% (assuming ele resist is 90%) and then armour can potentially chunk that down another 90%. 90% of 90% is 99%, or 1% damage taken which means unbreakable and or transcendence has the potential to mitigate 10x the damage. Transcendence has the best possible method to take the highest physical and elemental hit in the game. Unbreakable is a cheaper option that doesn't have quite as high as a ceiling, but is still doing the same thing if you have enough armour. That said, not much in the game hits for physical damage in the 100K range, in most cases "phys taken as X" isn't all that important for unbreakable since 90% is usually goo enough with a decent life/es pool, but it is supremely important for transcendence. For elemental damage, you need unbreakable or transcendence to tank things like uber atziri double flame blast and stuff, or you need a GIANT life/es pool with 90% res.

@@hmcg020 Yes, that is true, but that is a standard only item. Transcendence and Unbreakable are still obtainable in league. TWWT is from last league and only obtainable in standard. That said, the 3% is still inferior to Unbreakable (8% + double Armour value of chest piece), but does at least open up it up to any class without Transcendence. Anyway, not intending to argue and I do realize you were talking about standard in your post to which I replied initially - I just wanted to make it clear for others that the TWWT jewel is only an option in standard (also, minimum cost is 1 mirror). Lest you think I am attacking standard, I can assure you I am not. I migrated to standard this league, as 3.24 was such a let down in tedium. So, I am a fellow standard player and seem to enjoy it more, to be honest. In fact, I think I have played standard more than I ever have a league these days. I also play an amour stacker in standard, but don't actually enjoy it all that much. I much prefer my Fire Trap/RF Chieftain for general mapping and stuff. I only really play the armor stacking for bossing, as it is simply a lot more work to play. To reiterate, amour stacking is extremely powerful but sort of feels like a chore to play. I can't even explain why, it just is. I also agree with you that Chieftain armour stacker is better overall. that is my preferred version to run.

I use UncleJay Jugg - cheapest life build (in video 22 D but really double of that) and clear simulacrum with ease, also T17 maps, now almost ready for BigDaddy medium life jug build - best cost-dps build in my opinion :)
