- We moved Gene’s parents to the farm and we are turning a shed into a cute cottage cabin for them. This is an update of our progress.

Love that they are christening their home with the word of God. What a blessing this is for them. Beautiful in so many ways.
Such a blessing to have your precious mom and dad living at your farm! They are blessed to have a loving son and daughter-in-law too!

We met pop and mom and Gene, Sat. I wanted to see their new home they were telling us about. We bought some honey from mom💖🥰it’s delicious on bagels. Y’all are wonderful for moving them close. My mother-in law lived with us when 7 years after my father in law passed. It’s a wonderful privilege to be able to do this.💖🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Blessings to all of your wonderful family

I cracked up about the naked comment. 😁😂 One of my teachers one time had rotary cuff surgery. When her husband came to the shower to help her bathe, he wore his swimsuit. He told her it was in case they had to call 911 if she fell, they wouldn’t find him naked. Bahaha we’ve been building my daughters tiny home and now helping with our neighbors. Both are 16x40. It’s a lot of work but so much better than paying someone else. Y’all are doing great. The scripture writing brought tears to my eyes. My daughter did that also. God bless each of you with strength and fortitude to complete their home.

Love the scriptures on the wall. Our church had the congregation come and we had a scripture writing on the floor of the sanctuary just before putting the carpet on … I’m gonna do that on my new home ehen God finally gives it to us!

Beautiful job so far on the cottage. I'm so happy to see them have the comfort they deserve to have. The scriptures they wrote over the front entrance proves who their hope is in and how grateful they are to God for all of their many blessings. That melted my heart. You really brightened my day ✨️🙏 My building is 10x20 and I am living in half of it, with the other half what I own. I downsized about 3 years ago ,hoping to travel.
My tenants (caretakers) had not been taking care of the place. My visits to my building on my property became a problem to them. Now I know why.
Drugs.
So I know how they feel 😌
Praise God and good credit, I was able to finally get my plumbing fixed in one bathroom. I took my first shower and call to duty, yesterday 🙃 😅 since October 19th.
It gave me a new feeling about the place so I am carrying on. I am a 69 year old widow. My husband and I bought this Cactus Hill in Florida, 1988. I can't believe it brought me back at times. But I will fix this.

Prices have gone through the roof. But it sure is going to be a beautifully peaceful place when you guys are finished. Both my parents passed away in their early 60s, so I didn't get the privilege of helping them through their later senior years. I prolly would have had to build 2 housing places as they were divorced. I cant imagine seeing them as roommates. 🤣

Everything looks great! I love to see the excitement of your parents on the progress of their new home! I also love see how a beautiful family works together to accomplish tasks. That is how God intended for us to love and take care of each other. My husband and I and my husband's parents are on the same journey, but we're not as far along as y'all are. We have the property, but no house(s) yet. Got a well drilled, which was super expensive in the mountains of NE AZ, now we are working on the septic next. God willing things will keep moving along and we can all move there within the next year or two. I love the scripture verses your parents wrote on the wall. I will be doing the same when we have walls to write on! Thank you for the wonderful update videos, your family is precious. And the pup is so cute!

Gene's parents are precious! What a Blessing to have them there and for you to be helping them. If prices hadn't gone through the roof these last two years I bet they could have stayed within their budget. The bathroom vanity is beautiful! I'm happy to see they have their own bed to sleep in now.

The one thing I would suggest is gutters, because the bottom half of the cabin walls will be wet when it rains. Since there is not enough overhang from the roof. I know someone who lives in a tiny house made from one of those buildings, and the windows leaked and bottom half of their cabin was damaged from rain. The result were costly repairs.

When they finally move in, you need to have a little ceremony of handing them the keys and they turn the lock and walk in. Of course you also need to have a party!

God Bless You Gene for working as hard as you could to get them partially in there. I know just the space available to them is a pure delight and blessing. Tracy, Pop's is so cute working and helping Gene; so proud of him. If she ever wants a good soak in a tub she can come over to your house. I wish them the treat of a Hot Tub to soak in; good for the spirit and bones to boot. A front porch is all they need now a little garden and a refrigerator in the kitchen so she can pop some stuff in there while they finish up.

I would do a barn door on the bedroom. That way you could put a dresser in front of it. You could actually do one in the outside of the bathroom.

The cabin is going to be adorable and the bathroom vanity is beautiful. I might suggest a couple of small table top dehumidifiers to run also to prevent excessive moisture. I have aquariums and they really help with the humidity level.
