@@leoem4nuel Yess, with everything they both went through because of the show, it takes someone brave to openly say they became good friends and to speak so well of Solar and Mamamoo. Well most fans (no matter the fandom) are indeed nice! It's just that the 1% loud ones who like drama sadly get the most attention. But that kind of makes sense, it's kind of like how bad news spread easier since they are more 'entertaining'.
Eric Nam is one of those guys who continues to level up in attractiveness the older he gets. Like back when he was on ASC, he was cute as hell. Now on the Kpop Daebak Show, he looks *chef's kiss* Anyways, I'm so happy and proud of him 🤧💕
Honestly that’s plausible since he said he can’t talk about it... “nice surprises here and there” like bro sdhkjsdh :’) but fr he probably wouldn’t be allowed to talk about it since it’ll spark rumors and shiz AAA
When Grace asking about BTS, maybe she's worry Eric will said something unpleasant. But don't worry Gracie. Eric knows BTS since they are day 5, making shenanigans at his shows, he hosting them kcon, and saw them in Wembley. Their friendship builds from BTS earlier days till now, he watch them closely. And his answer is so heartwarming, that talent and hardwork IS at work to make BTS as big as now.
do u know grace helbig? she is very sweet. she wasnt asking so someone could say something bad about them. she was just asking how they blew up because she doesnt know anything about kpop.
This is what happens if you interview another host; the whole show turns into an interview, feel-good session for both people. Great job and never a boring minute all throughout!
I usually don’t comment on videos but I just had to because I work for Deloitte and I’m listening as I’m sitting here working with a single tear trickling down my face Hahahaha
Oh yes! I'd love to see Amber on Not Too Deep! Grace would love her! I mean, but how could not love our Llama Amber!?!? Side note: Congratulations to Amber on finally being free of SM!!
I came here for Eric's comments about BTS (which are great!) but I left thinking about how intense Asian American erasure has been over the years, especially in the arts. How insane is it that many of the most famous AsAm singers had to travel across the world, learn a new language and adapt to a new culture just to find an audience and be given space to promote, because it was simply impossible for them to make a career in the states... I hope the success of BTS (along with recent wins for Asian film/tv) helps to open things up for Asians to be seen as 'viable' to be cool/creative/attractive/passionate/emotionally engaging stars in the West.
Wow, Eric is so articulate and such an amazing guest! This was an amazing interview! And Grace, you actually interviewed him! So many people are out to interview k-pop singers for their differences rather than who they are as a person! I really enjoyed this!!
This is a collaboration I never thought would happen. And absolutely grateful and love it.(Thank you Grace!) You guys have great chemistry in your conversations, so much fun!! Hahahaha Also that Mamamoo comment 😂
Lilian Rojas-Lopez Yes, it was amazingly good and friendly chemistry. It was like they know each other for a long time. But Eric, he always had that best friend persona on him.
Eric Nam's got so much chill and personality, and effortlessly funny too. He's cute alright but all that just makes him even hotter. Damn dude is a total package!!
Omg imagine this podcast with Eric nam, Henry Lau, Amber Lu are on together. The three friends, the stories they would tell. Thx Grace for having Eric on. So cool to hear his personal story. I feel so weird of how they never lost their English and I'm here loosing my native language and not gaining much English hah. Eric's answer is NRA good job. His mom reminded of all Asian parents
eric saying how he had no choice but to go to korea to be recognized as a talented artist hits deep. There are so many asian-americans, asian-canadians, etc in the kpop industry because it's super difficult and nearly unheard of to make it big (at least in the beginning of their career) in the US because of systematic racism. I'm rooting for all of those who are coming back to the states to make a name for themselves at home and for future generations!
I love Eric Nam! Great music and so charismatic. Def someone who you want to listen to and just watch talk. Just saw his interview with Alec and it was adorable. 사랑해!!

eric nam some ppl really do love full length lps, they are stories the singer wants to share with fans. i just love when my favs come out with full length albums
I was surprised he said that kpop is all about LPs. I observe the opposite. Everyone does either EPs or just simple singles and then once in a while there is a full album, which is mostly from the songs that were already released. Before kpop I thought that the full album is a climax for an artist. And singles usually build up to it, while in kpop singles are there to make a comeback and remind about yourself. At least it feels like it. I personally enjoy both ways. I can wait for 4 years for bands like Arctic Monkeys to release a new album, but I start to worry about Blackpink if they don't have a comeback for a year. That's so weird. Speaking about albums, I agree they are the whole story and I usually listen to the whole album. The best albums are those that I can re-listen from start to end enjoying it to the fullest. It's rare, usually I just pick some songs to listen to. Sorry for a long comment, but I was looking in the comments for someone who also noticed what Eric said about albums. I'm here for discussion :)
Eric's road to fame is really interesting everytime I listen to it, he got really lucky, he was just taking whatever opportunities came to him and it got him where he is now. I think he's a really brave and motivated guy which I really like, I wish I was like him in terms of personality.
