- New PC upgrade in six steps. These video was made in order to see if these parts could fit inside this type of PC tower. And they did.
You can install new CPU FAN after RAM upgrade and 12V CPU motherboard cable from PSU in order to have more space.

I bought 400 g3 mt one of these with a i5 6500 3.5. Thank you for your video. I plan to reference it frequently. I see only 2 slots for ram on mine, so I will plane on 2x16 for the 32g. I am trying to keep the psu the same as this is a budget build for me and my son to work on together. Thank you again

@@PcLaptopUpgrades oh great, I will watch that one too. Its up and running,, but not getting great FPS. Hardest part of the build was finding the gpu. Best I could find was a geforce gt740 sc 4g ddr5 for 70 dollars there abouts. It gets about 60 fps, on just about everything. Is that because of the crappy generic monitor?
We put 2 tb barracuda hdd and 500 gig ssd and 32 gb gskill ram on the 2 sticks. Was alot of fun with my son.. it was his boy scout project to earn a badge ! Thanks for the reply as well!

That looked like a challenge. I used to have hand dexterity like that, my hands started radiating sympathy pain just from watching this lol Nice work. I appreciate the uploads. I'm learning alot about modifying these machines, and thanks for the headsup on that USB 3.0 adapter. If I can score one soon I can proceed to bang away on my 800 G1's.
the casing itself has no psu ventilation vent below, will it overheat the PSU if the fan faces down?
I think you made a fatal error which might cause your psu to catch fire. Your psu intake fan is facing up 3mm away from top of the inner case. How will it recive air to cool the psu? Did you drill holes at the top of the case for air intake? Or fit a grill? What zbout the usb 3 input which was in the way of your gpu, did you disconnect that?.
Psu dont have an intake, they just outake, yes seems this build doesnt have intake fan in the front and had a little room to breathe there
@nash comp strange. All the psu that I have will have lattice holes or straight holls from top or back and eplells exhaust from outside. Please could you sent me a link for this psu, I'm intrigued 🤔

the 490 g3 has 4 memory slots, thats pretty tough, i have my 480 i think the possible maximum upgrade can also be like that too. whatcha think

Hi, i've got 800 G3 MT, can i change the psu into the conventional(SFX, ATX, etc.) psu? do i need an adapter for the psu 24 pin? Thankyou
You missed an absolutely major chance of increasing the read/write speed of the PC by four-fold by placing an adapter card in the spare PCIe x4 slot, using a NVMe card and booting from that. You can get a card on Amazon that takes both a NVMe card and an SSD card, thereby saving a Sata connection too.
Good evening. Yes I could also do that but the space between GPU and PSU is limited and this results in lack of ventilation between them.
SATA SSD should be enough for that kind of pc. There's marginal gain going from SSD to nvme for non professional activities
What did you use to extend the front panel socket which is under the video card?
I found a old hp prodesk 405 g1 mt while cleaning the house do you know if the proccessor can be upgraded i think you cant because its a bga ft3 processor so my question is is the upgrade to a new motherboard which supports a lga socket processor worth it
HI, compliments for everything in this vide. I have an HP 490 G2 MT desktop pc, and I am not able to mount a HD7850 video card, it seems impossible to insert all in the Pci-e slot, the biggest one. Looking at your case it seems not so bigger, any help ? I am not able to see if in my case something, also little, is an obstacle to insert all the card, so if this was the problem could I mount the video card into another PCI-e slot, the under one below the bigger pci-e (the default for video for the faster speed) ? The main application is for audio music production, so for me also integrated gpu is ok (while all the other upgrades are more ineteresting) but for some game for my sons do you think there was anyway a consistent advantage to mount this card than the integrated GPU ? Or have you any link to other video card ok for the size ? Have I to change the psu also in this case for the power supply ? Thanks much, CIAO

I got this case form my "job" and they just brake the front of the case putted an metal that is form other case and put an dvd reader i cant just say why they did that.monsters or hp make it like that but other hp 490 dont have
And yep it not was like the other Space it was below that one what was on that slot of the original?blu-ray reader
The computer come with an Mother board hp 805f that have pcle 3.0 and an i5 6500 so i put an gtx 1050 ti and now can run games yipeee!

Good evening. You need to buy a SFX PSU like Corsair SFX 750W or Corsair SFX 600W or ChiefTec SFX 650W. These PSU'S can fit inside. But this PC is difficult to start with a common PSU like the ones I told you. The PSU that is inside this computer has different connectors inside it. I have a HP 400 G4 MT and I will post a video with the upgrades you need to do, If you can wait. The 280 G3 motherboard is similar to 400 G4. The only thing that delays me is the problem I told you, how to start the PC with a common PSU, but I think I found the solution.

Good evening, sorry for the delay reply. The first three gold screws (8:33) that I used on the bottom of the motherboard CPU are not coming with the NH-L12S. These are used when you want to install the motherboard on the case. The other screws are coming with the NH-L12S.

Sff can't be upgraded easily. You must find a Low profile GPU card like GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB Low Profile OC Edition or something similar.
