    It's strange because at my school we run the meetings but all of the schools in this district the counselor runs the meetings?

    Could you creat a video for us the parents to try to understand in simple vocabulary what all the teacher could be saying in these meeting??

      There is a ton of great ones. If there is anything that you don’t understand, or if a letter is given as what grade level student is at - always ask questions…. Get everything clarified!!

    Thanks so much I used to teach 15 years ago now my child is under a 504 plan after being g u def an Iep can you please help me understand why this happens Tysm!

    I think it’s great that you provide this resource, but right away you are misleading when you say the teacher is the one “in charge” I’m pretty sure federal law would explain this differently and clarify that is not true at all. You might just want to get that fact correct.

      Hello, you are exactly right. Everyone has an equal say during the IEP meeting. What I was referring to is typically the teacher is the one to run the meeting.
