I just remember A1,A2,B1,B2 as Kiss (QISS). And thanks for your videos, I love them
u know what ? yo so very kind man, the way u keep saying "buckle up" "lets do this" makes me feel like indeed "we are in this together" lol. i always use n luv yo videos.bless yo soul
Life saver!!!!! Finally a video that doesn't bore me to death and is easy to understand. A million thanks!!
Great Job! Just wanted to add, in relation to ~30:30, Calcium is stored in, more specifically, the SARCOplasmic Reticulum (a type of Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum found in Myocytes). Probably not that important to add, but it rung a bell in the back of my mind, and I figured I would look it up again. Thanks for the vid--GREAT UPLOAD!
Good way to remember Beta 1 & 2 functions:
B1 (heart): You have ONE heart
B2 (lungs): You have TWO lungs
That was easy. I wonder how I failed it
7 years later and this is saving me right before a test!
Second year pharmacy student and your review of this is awesome!
Thank you for your time!!
Literally everything I needed to revise, explained in one place! You just saved me :)
Awesome!! Your the only source I trust on youtube for pharm!! Thank you much!
Love the video, thanks for taking something that seemed difficult and making it easy to understand.
For the a1/a2 I used Queens rule, thus: a1= Queens (Q) are on top and a2 = ignobles (I) are below. Helped me, hope it helps others.
YOU HAVE MADE IT SO SIMPLE. YOU ARE BLESSING FROM GOD. THIS IS THE BEST LECTURE THAT I HAVE COME ACROSS ON THIS TOPIC
plz sir make more videos on Pharmacology.... these are life savers
This is one of the best explanations! Was looking for simply explained pharma! Thank u so much:)
Absolutely fantastic!!! Seamlessly explained in an easily understandable fashion. Thank you.
dude, you're awesome. thank you so much for existing and doing what you do.
"You can't just have an easy system, otherwise everybody would be doctors" LOL (16:00)
Great video! Very helpful!
Thank you so much for this video. First year psych, and Im learning that watching youtube is helping me learn so much better than just reading, when Im too tired to actually study Im not too tired to simply watch youtube.
Your voice is really clear and a pleasure to listen to. Besides that you are humourous. I LIKE! Thanks!
Also, you asked for a tip to remember alpha- how about - "This is B.S......Q.I.S.S (kiss) my asssssss". LOL.
For Adrenergic Receptors..... Your heart races when you are QISSed (Kissed)
Thank you so much for all of your videos. Its made my life sooooooo much easier. You are an excellent teacher!
thank you
this was very helpful
just showed again this method is the best way to teach something so others can actually understand it instead of worthless powerpoint slides
sir awesum video...the way u delivered is incrediable......thanks alot......
I'm in vet school and kicking myself as well.. ughh.. Great video. Thanks for the upload.
This was SO helpful, made things clearer. Thank you so much for creating this and putting it up 😊 🙏🏻
Indeed this was a great video!!! Thanks!
Science dude you are a dead-set legend! Thaaaannnnk you!!
this was awesome! thank you so much :D really helps solidify some concepts for me. You made it really simple and clarify some of my understandings easily
Good explanation. Learning from scratch as it just interests me and good pace to keep up!
Many Thanks from Jordan , :3 , to the teacher in the video :D ,,, u r great man ,,, keep helping poor people :'(
You will have a place in my heart forever
ousaxx, you are so beautiful...will make a great MD.
Loved this video. So helpful.
Thanks, great video. Really helped me to memorise the different receptors!
This Video is Awesome!! You definitely made it so much easier!! Thank you So much!!!♡
Awsome video man. Really liked your style. Makes me hang in there
Fantastic video thank you so much !!!
Good Work
PERFECT! thank you so much!
Amazing! Thank you!
Awesome video.
Awesome videos. thank you
Good work! Thank you.
Thank you .... very well explained
Amazing!! thank you so much
You have a soothing voice.
This. Was. Great.
very helpful!
thankss
you could say "if you are sympathetic towards someone then you should give them a QISS" for the adrenergic receptors. I guess since we are using the "K" sound for Q in the muscarinic mnemonic , then it kind of makes sense. QISS you just have to remember the order of the receptors a1, a2, B1, B2.
While learning the adrenergic system I love to listen to Kiss. ;) (QISS)
For the pathways of the main receptor types I think about a couple making up after a fight (or flight), on Valentine's Day.
His/her
M= Muscarinic; (Quick= QIQ) M1=gQ, M2=gI, M3=gQ
A= Adrenergic (Kiss= QISS) A1=gQ, A2=qI, B1=qS, B2=qS
D= Dopamine (Si) As in the video. D1=qS, D2=qS
His/her= Histamine; (Kiss=QS) H1=gQ, H2=qS,
Valentine=Vasopressin; (Kiss=QS) V1=gQ, V2=qS,
many thanks!
QIQ QISS = Quick kiss ;)
Thank you!
Thanks! Invaluable for my exam tomorrow! What is the software you use? I'd like to incorporate some hand-drawn diagrams into my notes on my laptop
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :)
Me too! Never thought I have to memo so much at one time!
how about "QISS" as in "KISS" for the adrenergic mnemonic device? KISS ass for alpha and KISS butt for beta. Of course you can just remember alpha applies to the QI and beta applies to the SS because there are only two types.
Pleeeeaaaase compleet explain pharmacology we need you
Your explaining amaaaizing plz plz
subbed, thanks bro
what receptors do the hair follicles on the top of the scalp consist of? as i understand they are different? can you identify them?
amazing
I can’t thank you enough
hi, I just came up with a good one for alfa1- Q and alfa2-I , as first language is spanish is very simple aqi (correct spelling: aqui) it means here and as a for alfa and Q, I
thank you so much..
I have a stupid question..., how is the type of neurotransmissor (NA, Ach, Dopamine) related to the function? Or it isnt related at all? The function only depends on the type of receptor? If I have a alpha1 receptor, does it matter if what "activates" is a NA, Adrenaline or dopamine (since ach cannot activate it, right?)? Thank you for the amazing video tho, very helpful :)
Thank you :)
Suggestion for memorizing alpha receptors:
think alpha like alpha male:
alpha1 will make the GQ cover magazine. (Gq receptor)
(for all non-fashionista scientists GQ is like a celebrity fashion magazine)
alpha2: "I am not no GQ boy" (Gi receptor)
thank you sir
Excellent video! Mnemonic I came up with from the video. Can I get a QIQ QISS? SI quickly sir (QS), quickly sir (QS).
thanks!
thank you very helphul
I know for a fact that the muscarinic M1 receptor depolarizes the cell, how does the stimulation of protein kinase A, by cAMP depolarize the cell??
For a1 and a2 receptors, we can think about sneeze, Aqi sounds like the noise when u sneeze 🌚
Can you please tell me which software you used in making this video
If you lose your key "Qi" call AAA (Adernergic, A1, A2)
Adrenergic receptors like to "kiss" - QISS :D
You Rock!
Not as bad as they say. It is just a huge money and time investment. If you truly enjoy what you are doing, it doesn't seem so bad.
Pre-synaptic-->Post-synapticptic-->>>>(ACTION POTENTIAL)
Thanks
What program do use to write this tutorial?
thanks.
Oh my. Thank you so much. You have a gift and thanks for sharing it.
Oh yea a metaphor for Kiss or QISS a bs kiss or that kiss was bs ? : )
'we can't have an easy body structure otherwise everyone would be doctor'
LOL
but also can I please comment on the 2nd drawing
I think it would of been more clear if you put the top 2 muscles as smooth and cardiac muscles to avoid confusion overall(although it may be obvious cause its SNS and PSNS)
Thanks .. finally I understand :l
hey ur vedios r awsm.......did u make one on adrenocorticosteroids? i cudnt find it...if nt can u make one? u help me with my studies a lot.....thanks fr dat :)
And yes you can use QISS = KISS for adrenaline, specially sense it can give you adrenaline butterflies in your stomach when you kiss someone.
LOL @ 7:11. I will never look at an axon the same way again.
"Protein Kinase!!!!" Hahaha you're so funny dude
Receptores made simple: 48 minutes
Ahmmmmmm.....? ahahaah
Wonderful explanation tho!
❤
One question... Basements or Caravan
I QISSed a bog/girl and it gave me and adrenalin rush :-)
hi, what does Q stands for? If, I is Inhibition, S is Stimulation? what would be Q?
Adrenergic's QISS+ KISS
this guys fucking great
thanks for the video.... however its hard to follow your train of thought when the ideas are derailed all the time with side comments about something forgotten to talk about earlier. Takes too long to get through it... lots of repeating.
How about "A" Qui or alpha is here but "KISS" works too
Let me rephrase that, I know for a fact that the muscarinic M1 receptor depolarizes the cell, how does IP3 depolarize the cell??
So much humblebragging
.
is serotonin like ACh? metabotropic?
