- Raptor is widely considered one of America's top B&M inverted coasters, and man is it one heck of a ride! The entire coaster spreads out across midway, and actually received a fresh new coat of paint for the 2016 season, so now it looks better than ever!

And also, this B&M is awesome :) Opened 22 years ago, but still one of the most awesome and intense inverted coasters B&M has made, even though it was one of the first ones
Cedar Point can repaint Raptor as much as they want but the seagulls will always paint it white.
For me this was an intense, good old-school inverted coaster with a pleasing B&M roar. I still give Alpengeist the edge for its theming, speed, and for its terrain usage
i just rode this ride yesterday. so far my favorite.

You can tell this is a mix of old and new footage. The new footage is more bright, and raptor was repainted. The old footage is a bit darker, some of the paint is wearing off, and at one of the sky ride footage, I don't see a poop coloured dive Coaster.
I know this is an old comment but the paint wasn't scratching of that's bird poop 😅
I love how vibrant it looks now! It was in need of a re-paint for a long time!

this ride is so awesome because its two in one punch. Not only does it have super fun inversions but it also has an awesome first drop too! a lot of fun :) most invert coasters have an extremely mediocre first drop where as this one doesnt. So you get the fun inversions AND a fun first drop :)

Man, you had me so confused using footage from different years lol. I was thinking that they decided to paint parts of it and not others, because I'm pretty sure they did that with MF one year.

Hey Taylor is there a chance you might review this one? I have been wanting to see one. Also here's an idea, put this up next to Banshee for a coaster fight since they are both Ohio inverts.

I don't know about that. Alpengeist vs Afterburn was pretty close, and Afterburn is one of his favorite B&M Inverts.

Every time I go to take a trip to cedar point, I always tell myself that I'll ride but never ride it because it look terrifying. Will it be fun for first time riders guys ?
Yes! I rode this for the first time when I was NINE and loved it then!
does the brake run actually do anything on this besides being an emergency brake? I've ridden this countless times and still can't actually tell

yep Raptor is the origin of custom b&m invert right next to nemesis and flight deck. i did notice a small rattle on the ride.

I mean technically Batman was originally a custom layout, it just got cloned later down the line.
GThing Pretty sure Six Flags already had the intention of cloning it considering how compact it was and how new clones kept opening every year afterward

Yes, I never got around to posting a Raptor off ride last year because I lost a bunch of the footage I shot, so I compiled some of the old stuff with new footage I shot this year. You can tell which is from which year!

This is the most uncomfortable ride in Cedar Point. I'll never go on it again.

yes
DAcubsfan2 you can tell because the shots of the cobra roll in 2016 will have Valravn behind it. The 2015 footage is before they repainted it so the track isn't as vivid in color. There is some footage where he took it from the Valravn plaza which wasn't around in 2015
