The Anglican church itself was built 1827-28 and consecrated 1828. It is attributed to John Semple who was the architect to the Board of First Fruits who maintained and built churches and glebe houses. Semple was responsible for Monkstown parish church and the Black church (St Mary's chapel of ease) among other things. His style is usually very pared down, even if Monkstown has a flamboyant Hispanic look to it. It isn't even clear when it closed, but it's some time post 1922. The tower is marked with the name of Edward Lymbery of Fethard Castle, 1847, altho the tower is undoubtedly medieval. Traces of the medieval church can be found to the south of the tower. I visited there a while ago, and took pictures which are probably on some old phone.

@flyingisaac2186 Thank you, my friend. I was wondering why the church looked more at Morden than the tower . Appreciated the information.

Thanks for the history and the aerial photos. I have passed by this church five or six times and knew little about it, thanks to your video I will appreciate the age and history of this church.
It's very interesting that Loftus Hall, one of Ireland's most demonic haunted houses is just a short distance away from the church by boat. This seems to confirm a Diabolical association with the Knights Templar.

Did you find the templar grave in the grave yard? Slaughtered lamb motif on the slab
