- Mart and I headed to Brands Hatch for a cheapy chips full day in November. Lo and behold we had the same issues as we did at Snett back in April with no back end grip. This time we managed to narrow it down to some worn rubber on the rear! Roll on Bedford (pray not literally) on the 1st December!
Thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe, like, comments on and share the video.
Cheers!

I'll be honest with you mate you need to let the wheel slide through your fingers and catch the drift keep your foot planted
Really cool, I always wanted to rip around Brands Hatch, played it in many games. Definitely slippery out there, but you didn't go off too bad into the gravel. The spin after was pretty epic though :).
We had similar issues at Snetterton in our Cup. No grip on the rear can’t be much fun at brands, lots to hit! Good saves
Thanks chaps! Yes our snett video is even more drifting but a bit less to hit when you come off. Feels like going for a scary Sunday drive 😂 correct tyres next time! Love your content btw!
There is me in my cup at 5:07... I was running new toyo R1R on my Clio 172 turbo.. they work really well.. tricky conditions but enjoyed the day - enjoyed the video
Ah clio turbo! Wish I’d come down to see that. Ironically we have a set of R1R at home but we just severely underestimated the weather! Hope you had fun yesterday and glad you liked the vid :)
I hate track days in the rain for that exact reason 😆👍🏻 good effort though lads
Cheers Luke :) Pain aren't they! Hopefully this weekend will be a touch better.
Either left Foot Brake or keep the drive on , your slides were lift off over steer.
good video, like the music too.
Thanks Gus, always difficult to find good music which isn’t riddled with copyright so glad you liked it :)
I’m doing a track day there tomorrow evening - got brand new tyres and brakes so should be ok
As in too jerky on the wheel panic grabbing at it, bloody good video though mate
To be fair to Mart, who was driving, it was his very first lap in the car so a heap of bad luck and very unexpected by both of us! A good experience though 😂 glad you liked the video 😀 we’ll take the proper wet rubber next time!
@@TrackItYT paddock hill will always try to do that to you, be ready and don't be scared to let it come out abit, you correct too early and too much. Hope it helps buddy
That looked slippery and scary. My big fear would be rolling it after hitting the gravel. Some good saves in there also.
It was horrific! A little bit of poo came out when we went into the gravel, it dug so deep it felt like it was going to roll, or lay on its side at least!
Great video, hopefully i don't have this much trouble when i first get on track
Cheers dude. It’s all in the preparation! I just wasn’t prepared for this day!
@@TrackItYT well I'll soon find out if I'm prepared or not
Brands is a greasy track in the wet
M&S custard creams, like it.
Only the best!
What shift light are you running? Im having trouble finding one that works with the Clio
It’s a DRE5 set up for two cylinders because it’s a wasted spark system. The other thing you can do is set the light’s RPM to double as it will be getting double the signals per RPM
how often do you go to brands? I need track day friends 🤣
Bald 888's on a wet track in November. What part of your cranial vacancy thought that would work?
The creative bit on the left 😂 I have actually used r888s in the wet with great success but admittedly they did have a little more tread at the time.
Why go on a track day with shit tyres. Danger to yourself and wasting others time
