From your comment below this graft failed, have you had any success grafting guava? I’ve been trying for about a year now with zero success, I’ve tried cleft, bud, z-graft, modified cleft. I’m also in 9b. Thanks.
Yes, it failed and I havent tried another as i get root airlayers fairly easy. I had another youtuber tell me in order to get a graft to take , you have to girdle the bud stick b4 removing. I havent tried yet, maybe next spring.
Great video…I’ll try it on red guava I don’t like for a white guava we love. I recently planted 4 seeds of yellow sapote. A delicious fruit I ate in Nicaragua. Have you ever heard of grown this fruit?
The guy in this video has a different method that I might try, called approach grafting. ruclips.net/video/XSle4loKKMQ/видео.html&ab_channel=GreenBengal

All of my guava grafts eventually failed
Hi Jeff! Your video definitely makes me want to expand my guava varieties through grafting. Would you possibly be open to sharing some cuttings?
If you are in my area, I might but I’d rather not deal with shipping stuff

Sir which is the best month to Graft guava
Depends where u live and climate. Be aware that guavas are very difficult to graft.
@@TropicalGardenGuy sir I m from east India.
Is there a follow up video?
Sadly it didn’t take
@@TropicalGardenGuy Darn, I was thinking about grafting one, but after seeing this fail, it makes me wonder if I want to waste my time.
Was this successful?
Sadly, no, I had it under the shade of my lychee tree and it was crushed when a branch fell on it.
@@TropicalGardenGuy cleft graft has a very low success rate for guava anyway. I doubt it would take
Yea I’ve heard.
Have you had any success grafting guavas? If so what type of graft?
Looks like the tree was already dead. I could tell when he started pruning off the branches.
@@SoCalKevin yeah I'd be surprised if a simple cleft graft is enough
