I’ve never hated on aljo. The facts are that he won his belt by getting beat up. I look at the ufc as close to a real fight as you can get and not just a sport, which is why I don’t agree with how he won the belt. I get that he was concussed because of an illegal move, that entitled him to a rematch not make him undisputed champion of the world. That’s just my opinion and he definitely won his last fight so whatever. Congrats to UFC Bantam weight champion Aljamain sterling.

When you look back, that illegal knee was a blessing in disguise(other than his concussion) but for his career it was huge. He got known so much more and now he defends the belt. That's huge. Rather than the first fight (where he was getting rocked) he would have lost and miss his chance at the belt

I had two-layer artificial disc replacement surgery (two discs replaced with two artificial discs in one go). c4-c5 and c5-c6. Prior to surgery, I was bone on bone, mental health on thin ice, physically destroyed. My surgery was back in January of this year. Today, I'm in more pain than before surgery and have suffered some pretty devastating mental blows as a consequence of having a shitty neurosurgeon. I was put on 5 different neuron inhibitors, for pain management. It did nothing for me physically. Mentally, it crippled me. I had double vision, slurred speech, hearing loss, trouble breathing, and became extremely paranoid that I was going to die. I never knew there was a medication capable of silencing your own "head voice" but apparently there is, and it left me completely helpless. I quit taking the medication cold turkey and went through the heaviest withdrawals of my life, lasted weeks. I can do basic home duties but honestly, even putting away laundry fucking kills me, man. I have no idea where to go from here. Currently a stay at home Dad, raising my 2 year old son. I'm hoping time heals all wounds.

I had a great neurosurgeon for my lumbar, but it was months before I could be off the walker because I kept pushing myself. I got put on gabapentin and started hearing voices as the rare side effect and my surgery for L3-L4 disc was in December of 2021. You should probably look for a referral to a different doctor if you are still in excruciating pain because it shouldn't be like that this long. Like my surgeon is rather cold with terrible bedside manner, but master of his craft here in Illinois. If you meditate you'll find your inner voice again and you have allies here that want to see you get better. We fight every day to survive and it seems you are fighting harder than most, you deserve the respect for that and we are proud of you for being strong for your child. Much love and support my friend

Had to get a laminectomy and discectomy to reduce the pressure and that was in December of 2021 and I'm just now starting a feel like I'm making progress now. My right knee looks like trash under x-ray from all the times it slammed in to hardwood flooring and I even left dents all over my home. 6'6" 250lbs hits hard with no ability to tense up the leg to brace it and I still waited a few months after that started to get help. The neck injury has been absolutely no joke.. at the time of the first fight I didn't understand that kind of injury and what you were going through.. now that I know first hand the affects it can have in ones life..your comeback to prove it wasn't a fluke on top of the other neck injuries you've had is a huge inspiration to the limp neck crew to stiffen er back up and keep it movin'.. not like you had to relearn how to walk but when your told the severity of that kind of injury and how you need to immediately change how you operate your body and the things you miss out on in life is very tough to get through.. you made it and came back at the top level immediately after your recovery.. an absolute legend moment, no matter what happens with the belt now.. an nft bronze statue of your neck is going up with the statues of Bisbings eye, Joannas forehead, and Jones toe.. but your comment about the joint feeling dry and going cra ca ca ca cahhh made me laugh so hard I almost hurt myself.. cheers to the champ!! Then 6 months of posture modification, stretching, strengthening, PT, other stuff and it stabilized. No surgery, thank god. It feels 100% (two years now), even though it still looks like crap on MRI. Still do sports, etc. Neurosurgeon told me, he only does surgery if there is numbness that is not resolving, and that over 80% of cases stabilize itself, with no surgery.

I'd watch Brendan Dorman breakdown cause he's the expert I go too. I still before watching it thought Yan won round 1 which was the only determining round out of the fight. It was 2 to 2 otherwise. So not a straight robbery by any means. I'm a big Yan fan not gonna lie an I do see him getting that belt again regardless of the 2nd fight outcome.

@@El.Sasquatcho69 I remember the round pretty clearly, only a few punches of any real impact, one of them Aljo was able to trade one back, but Aljo also had a solid elbow when Yan was stepping in that made him get right back out, and since there was no real damage incurred we go to volume which Aljo leads with the kicks, no real effective grappling, and no need for secondary criteria like control time or octagon generalship based off of volume, it couldn't b a robbery, but someone could certainly judge it differently to reach a different out come, maybe others might not b swayed in the volume enough, but Aljo was working his plan and was able to land when he wanted to, the round went the way Aljo wanted it to, the round absolutely did not go the way Yan wanted it to, unfortunately for me I saw this live and after rounds 2 and 3 I had to watch the rest of the fight knowing Aljo already had it in the bag if the judges were accurate, and was already eating my words for all the shit I talked on Aljo prior, the outcome didn't change my criticisms, but they certainly make it hard for me personally to criticize him moving forward, I'm curious wat the other guys breakdown was saying but I'm not sure I want to watch another breakdown of it as just about everyone I have seen so far has been fairly poor, including Big John's who is basically the author of the criteria used to judge the fights, but I'm afraid that I feel he was being disingenuous more so than making bad reads, he talked a lot of smack on Aljo prior, rightfully so imo, but I think it's preventing him from giving the pat on the back... But Hell I could b wrong about that too...
