Hey there Matt! Very Well done review brother and very well executed. Wicked little truck from Rlaarlo here in my opinion. Yes at first a bit disappointed to find out it’s not a true 1/10 scale, as I found out at the China rc expo about a month ago that it was really a 1/12 scale. I’m over it now LoL! The truck seems to run amazingly, with blazing but controllable speed and rock solid handling. Who wants an over powered rc that constantly flips on its back anyway? Not me. This has beautiful air control and seemed to handle anything you were throwing at it. Rlaarlo, if your reading Matt’s comments, this thing is really well done. It seemed like range was not an issue either! Man , I want one… really bad! 🤗👊🏼😝✌🏼
I gotta agree it lands pretty damn nice for a small car! and maybe the shocktowers issue can be fixed by droop screws? Definitely psyched on this release, i own a D12 and i need a more durable replacement. Thats not 600 dollars lmao
As always, great video Matty! Your vid's are some of the best on RUclips and I really enjoy them. I have an AMD12 and found out the hard way that the rear dog bones are crap. They bend easily and the pins come loose and damage the cups. After ordering new ones and replacing hinge pins that the hex had been stripped during manufacture, I doubt I will invest in this brand again. Hopefully this new car will hold up because my AMD12 had a very short life, sadly.
I really appreciate that thanks dude! 😊 I haven't tested the D12 unfortunately, have you tried to fit any other brands? Maybe that could fix the issue.
What a ripper! Shame it’s not bigger though, they’ve missed out on an opportunity to take on some of the big boys. Top video as well dude. Fast paced and all the action 👌
I'm still waiting on some of these companies like Raarlo and MJX to come with a 1/10th scale or even 1/9th-1/8th would be great to see what they could do. I bet it has to do with shipping costs and size and weight along with total price they can realistically charge.
Hi Matthew. Thanks for the great review. I did receive mine just last week but your review was the first one I watched. One thing I noticed at 9:20 into the clip is the "self-righting" feature. Is that a pre-programmed button or did you have to do that manually by using the trigger? Cheers.
Thank you for actually driving it, bashing it, changing gearing and esc all in the same video. I was afraid they would unboxing, then driving in another video. Down the road different gearing
Pretty dang cool, I really wish they would've made it a true 1/10 scale though... I think it would've been much better but it looks like it rips and jumps nice so that's what counts at the end of the day....
Cool video!! Im trying to get into the hobbie but just having issues deciding what to purchase since theres so much out there. What would you recommend me to start of with thanks????
This looks perfect. I've been wanting a smallish truck to keep in the vehicle full time for times of emergency bashing. I've started to order a 14th scale MJX half a dozen times lately but been waiting to see this first.
@@Hungrybird474 yes. A week ago tomorrow. I've only ran 2 packs through it so far. I haven't tried to turn the gyro on. It didn't come activated. Looks pretty simple from the videos I watched. I haven't even installed the wheelie bar but it does have plenty of power for wheelies. Also haven't checked for loose screws but nothing fell off so far. Everyone who's seen it has been impressed with how sturdy it's built and surprised by how heavy it is. The body is thin and I somehow dented the tailgate but it didn't make a hole completely through. The suspension is great and tuned perfectly it just soaks up bumps and landings without drama. The brakes are very strong and I've front flipped several times just slowing down. Thank you for your thoughts
@@richardulrich9001 I'm late, yes... No, I guess my information related to the old model, too.
Ive been looking at this...i have it in my Amazon cart. It might be a bit much for my experience level...but i still think ill probably get it, and just putt around until i grow some balls lol.
Hi Matthew how are you keeping great video once again mate
I've just ordered mine but I have the roller one coming. Do you think a arrma Spektrum firma motor and esc would be OK 👍 😊
Hey I'm well thanks dude ☺️ yourself?
And yeah, that motor and esc should be fine. Just double check sizes
Hey matthew any chance you could tell us the size/length for those shock mounting screws?
Beauty bro 🎉 Thought it a gonner with that headlong curb kiss 😅
Me too dude! I nearly called the 🚑 haha 😉
Hi Matthew a other question I do have a 3300kv motor on 3.175mm shaft 3650 plus a 60a or 45a on the roller will that be OK 👍
Should be fine dude 👌
Its a nice looking truck for sure, not sure Im going to bother getting one now though. Bit disappointed in how small it is for a supposidly 1/10, more 1/12 scale. Also not close to 80kph on 3s.
Hopefully they release something bigger in the future! But this is a good start 👌
You can't even buy these yet! Kinda puts me off of the company when you see them being reviewed before you can even buy them. Good review but you should a waited till Friday February 16th when presale starts.
I can understand the frustration but because shipping times are different for everyone, some of us will recieve them earlier and to be transparent with you, the earlier I can get a video out, the better it is for views for my channel etc.. 😀
@@MatthewSimm I didn't know presale started at different times in other countries. It's scheduled for the 16th here in the states. Thanks for being transparent.👍
Incredible video! After charging my battery for the second drive the esc + power button is blinking red and it's no longer making connection with the remote. Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to resolve it?
Just re-bind it. Keep remote on and turn esc on and hold the bind button on the receiver
The esc does not stay in place after a few flips
Does it come with charger?
Hey sir could you please tell me the name of that electric screwdriver you used in this video? Thanks hope to hear back from you soon!!
58 mph . Holy smokey and the bandit . My little 2s hbx 16980SA is slow compared to this . Some 3s batteries on the way though . And it’s an east on 3s . Loads of fun . Waiting in this
I know this is probably a funny question but could I run a li-lion battery in the Rlaarlo Terminator?
Do you think the extra $50 for the carbon version is worth it over the regular rtr?
I do, mainly for the bigger motor and steel gears, but you could also buy a bigger motor for less than $50. I guess it's up to the individual 🤔
It's not just the motor you'll have to buy, though. You also have to buy the motor mount of the carbon version if you want to fit a bigger can into the regular rtr.
Oh right, I was not aware of this, thanks!
How do you install the speed pinion
Is it waterproof or resistant?
Good see matthew back
Thanks 😊
Amazining, first review up great job!
Thanks dude 😀
great video! i just got this and love it ...i have arrma's that are 4 times the price of this....but wow this is great! good job rlaarlo...they are on the move up market
Where can I get one of mini cordless hex drivers? Great vid too. Just got yourself another subscriber 👌🏻
I've been thinking about getting this one, would be my second Rlaarlo and I think for what your paying they are great..!
Definitely a great rc dude!
My roller just did 72mph on 4s on my Termi roller with Traxxas electronics.
That's crazy dude!
What voltage is the battery?
Great review! I been waiting on this one for a while now!
Thanks 😊
Have you got a link for that ESC upgrade bro? Cheers!
Has anyone received any updates on the whereabouts of their Omni order?
I just got my shipping confirmation, mine is being shipped directly from China DHL got my tracking # today, it should be delivered in a week or so for me
It went hard !! Wicked little truck man , killer vid 🔥🤘🏻
It did bro! I had lots of fun 😁
Could you make a video of how a longer and larger battery is mounted than the? one the car comes with
Please can you give to me the measures of the battery tray or the 3s stock lipo? Thanks
What is the actual size of the stock battery? I was going to try and find a 3000mah the same size so I wouldn’t have to move the esc. Their website doesn’t show or even offer the stock battery
Also can you run the bigger gear all the time or just on high speed runs? Thank you! I ordered one based on your review
Great test/review. 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
Does anyone know what electric screwdriver he’s using. I need one for my RC cars.
Don't use the one in this video. It wasn't very good imo, I now use the Worx 242 (only available in Japan but I got it from aliexpress)
That's a little beast mate 👍🦘😂😂
Definitely dude haha 😄
Mine is running a 2X 3S 2200mah batterys setup
Web site never loads and i can never find the carbon fiber one. Any help?
Did you try my link? If that doesn't work, try google
@@MatthewSimm The crazy thing is i have tried yours and multiple other links from streamers and have not found it online . Amazon lists the normal version but not the Carbon one. and i have tried Google?
What was the gyro setting in %?
0% I forgot to put it on
@@MatthewSimm even more impressive 👍🏻
Where screwdriver is that you’re using??
That is what I want to know too. That thing looks really nice.
The screw driver I'm just testing. It's nice, but maybe a bit to weak. Good for smaller than 1/12th haha
Hello what was the name and brand of that esc for 4 cell because the max 10 I looked up only went up to 3 cell
Max10 sct 120amp esc
HW30102601
Be good to see a head to head between this and the Rival MT10, love the 1/8th style motor mount all cars should use this
I do need to buy a mt10 one day haha 😄
@@MatthewSimmthe brushed version is on sale for $179 right now. I ordered one and a 10BL combo for it today.
MT10 is on sale? Where?
@@boduke9428 if you get this let me know where the sale is!
@@richardulrich9001 Tower Hobbies. The MT10 and SC10 brushed models are both $179 and both were still in stock a few hours ago.
Great video Matt , I’m a kiwi and me and my wife are looking at moving to Adelaide or possibly Darwin , it’s good because rc is much cheaper in Aussie and we could get our channel pumping over there , love your work anyway bro
I'm your 100th subscriber now haha 😄
Good luck with the move!
@@MatthewSimm thanks man I’ve been stuck on 99 subs for ages , I’m learning a lot from your videos me and wifey are big fans
Love your videos bro...another good one. Thanks
Glad you like them!
That is quite the weapon on 3s...Insane on 4s. Think the carbon eddition with the 540 size motor is the one to get for me.
Great air control and for the size handles rather well... Broken screws...Meh..easy fix.
Epic review Matty!!
the motor is rated for 4s?
@@hby7768 KV rating says yes. Stock esc is a no for 4s. Always watch temps though.
Thanks a million dude! 😊 a great little rc indeed!
Electric motors are (mostly) limited by heat and rpm. Is 4s okay? Sure, as long as it's cool enough, could you run it on 6s? Yeah but probably not long before it over heats lol. I'd suggest just using its recommended voltage unless you know what you're doing 😀
@@steveblackbird do you have a recommendation for a budget 4s rated esc for this car's setup? and a cheap fan/heat sink for the motor? im new to customizing RTR.
