Damn, you beat the snot out of that thing and it came back for more! And the 4s setup is the way to go, especially with the motor mount and bigger can motor. This thing tore it up! 👍
Dude that thing looks amazing. Might have to get rid of my Haiboxing and MJX trucks just to have this thing instead. Looks like the best deal in RC since the MJX Hyper Go
I think it's the best small RC you can get. It's small enough to be really handy and still look like a toy to most people yet big enough to be able to bash just about anywhere.
You turned that thing into a mini-missile. I'm not usually much for smaller RCs but this thing looks great & I'm all about supporting an up & coming company
This truck looks sick, I've been waiting for a review since I seen the announcement! Your reviews for this truck are so detailed, just worried my tool kit may not be up to par for the upgrades! 😉
All you really should need is a 1.5 mm 2 mm and 2.5 mm hex driver. Those tools are included in the kit for the car but it would be pretty annoying using an l wrench for all of that.
Yeah the many torch can work but it's also a pretty blunt instrument for the job. The side area and gets the heat exactly where you can work but it's also a pretty blunt instrument for the job. The soldering iron gets the heat exactly where you need it and nowhere else.
Awesome! Thanks a lot for that review. Really good to know that it appears to have no defect out of the box for a new model and it doesn't break, they're clearly stepping up their game! This will probably be my first rlaarlo model. For that smaller motor at 3100kv, if I compare with charts from similar motors, some can even run on 5s at around the same kv so I wouldn't worry about it on 4s. One thing I'm not sure is the carbon fibre chassis, I don't have any experience or knowledge on these, like how it would hold up to bashing and long therm use. If I'm thinking about buying the roller, would it be better to get the aluminium one for more durability and spare parts for smaller rcs? If I get the rtr carbon i'll probably ditch that esc and battery before even trying it (knowing myself lol) so I'll be thinking about that. Again awesome content and review, keep it up! 👍
I wouldn't worry too much about it. The chassis itself isn't carbon fiber on the carbon fiber version it's just the two little braces in the middle and then some reinforcement plates in the arms. I don't think it'll make much of any practical difference for bashing durability.
Just saw your gear mesh vid . I had it by feel and it was good but I had to keep messing with it and left it loose and destroyed the pinion and Probably the spur looks a little rounded so I had to order away . Glad Amazon had the parts . They didn’t have the upgraded parts though . I mean they had them but currently unavailable . So for the carbon fiber it’s a 24T 48P pinion and 65T (48P) spur . They do sell the spur alone but the whole center diff is double price . So hopefully I ll have one good one in and one back up in case I didn’t learn my lesson . I really like the channel and the RC hobby has kept me focused and it’s easy to stay busy after work when I’m doing the hobby . Sometimes I’d don’t do the hobby and fly drones or just play Xbox . I realize how other grown ups must see me with the toys and the tools and fun thjngs 😂. There’s 3 other kids on the street who are heavily into RC so it’s a good time around here . Good things 👍👍. We just run the 1/18- 1/12 size mostly but every now and again the nitros and Kraton 6s come out . My initial first month honeymoon phase impressions are very good . They had the mesh perfectly silent and zippy like a ninja . I ll get it right 🙏 and if I don’t I ll keep trying until I do . I remember how nice the black was coming off the steel of the teeth , nice and even near the tip .
Setting mesh definitely can be a bit of an art form. There's the paper method that works pretty well but I recommend just getting good at setting it by feel and sound. You'll definitely get it pretty quickly!
Fantastic video mate yeah mine on preorder now I've gone for the carbon fibre one the roller so I can stick my own electrics in plus I'm fitting a team corally esc 120a and a 3300kv 3650 brushless motor 3.175mm shaft hopefully that will be OK let me know 👍😊😊
@@DoRC I could imagine with a slightly bigger set of tires that thing would really handle great, That's something I'd like to see in the future, Maybe even some paddle tire action 🤔😁
@EJ-74 I have some stock Traxxas rustler tires that I'm going to try. The only issue is that the suspension is already topped out so bigger tires might end up breaking shocks.
Wow! What a mini beast!! Really impressed how well it took being both overvolted and a butt ton of bad landings!! Nice video! If I were able to make use of a mini, this would likely be it. Though I'd stick to the budget version. I have no need for 6 channels or carbon fiber. Keep up the great content brother!👍🍻
I've since found that the carbon version also has the machined front and rear differential gears. Not sure if it's actually necessary but that's another nice upgrade.
@@DoRCThat plus the radio may make it a better deal. I have tried comparing the 2 on their site, but honestly, the specs are not very clearly defined I feel. Regardless, there's alot to like for the money w/each version, including the kit. Bash on brother!!
@knowair6767 The carbon version radio is definitely better though other than the battery to lemetry practically speaking there won't be that much difference between them.
Nothing wrong putting on receiver box way better than on the brace . Idk where you live but if it’s cold out the fans really keeps the motor cool , you can go crazy with gearing/voltage . A kid in otherside pond has carbon one he did 50 mph and beat the snot out of it
I'm in Florida so never really gets that cold here. Yeah seems like everybody's having a pretty good time with them! I don't generally go for absolute top speed and the power that I'm getting with this setup is more than adequate.
I'd say there's somewhere in the middle. The CVDs are probably the weak point of the truck but from what I've heard they have been updated since it was new so that might not be as much of a problem anymore.
I srill dont understand why rlaarlo went with a totally different radio manufacturer/protoco from dumborc to hotrcfor their upgraded cars. The ddf350 would have been a much better option...
On Carbon vs Standard: Carbon oddly comes with 2650kv motor vs the Standard's 3100kv. The car's limitation is top speed, not torque so the Standard may be preferred. The Carbons motor does dissipate heat better, but that is not needed even at 4s as seen in this video.
@Rockatha does he show it in his video? I just watched it and didn't see any mention of an ESC mount. If he does can you tell me exactly at what point in the video he shows it?
@Rockatha okay. I just watched it. He was actually mistaken. Those are the parts that allow you to run the larger battery but they don't include a tray for the ESC to mount. You can see me install those parts in this video.
I'm not sure. I usually use my own remote when I'm reviewing vehicles so I don't have a lot of experience with that particular combo. You might want to go into the rlaarlo groups on Facebook and ask there.
If the $200 aluminum version came with the 3650 motor, it would be the best bargain basher in RC right now. The $250 carbon fiber version seems to be the one to get. One thing I don't get is if the receiver box isn't water tight, why even bother to put it in a box?
Not sure about the center drive shaft but usually wobbling tires out of the box Just means they weren't glued on straight. You can test that by putting the truck upside down and running it slowly watch the wheels versus the tires to see if the tires are wobbling or if the wheels and the tires are wobbling. There's always going to be a little bit of movement on the center drive shaft but you might need to pull it and see if it's bent if it's really bad
Thanks for a great review! I think I'm going to go for the carbon version, but just to be clear: if i did go for the Carbon version the max would be 3s? 4s would need a 120A ESC? Sorry for noob question - just getting into the sport after decades out. This seems a good way to get back in :)
The ESC that comes with both versions is 3S maximum. If you want to do 4S you'll need a 4S ESC. Maximum voltage and the maximum amperage of the motor aren't inherently related though the one I would recommend would be the 10 BL120G2 which is 120 amps.
@RoyaumeDesIX I can't say for sure that it will because I haven't actually tested it but given that the smaller higher KV one on the aluminum version does I'd imagine it'll be fine.
Hey nice video, quick question, so even if you buy the carbon fiber version, you still need to buy a new motor also for it to work with 4s? Thx in advance
In my experience the stock motor will work with 4S but you might want to check the specifications on it to be sure. If you're running it above the rated voltage it's obviously going to be a risk. I have found that motors tend to work a little bit above what they say they're rated for but of course it's still not guaranteed.
Hold down the set button while you turn on the ESC. It'll start beeping. With throttle and neutral hit the button again it'll be once pull full throttle hit it again it'll be twice full reverse hit it again it'll be three times.
So on the carbon fiber version that comes with the 3650-2650KV motor, should that motor be able to handle the 27/28T speed pinion and a 4s esc? The motor seemed to be running a bit hot on 3s with the 24T pinion. Also, any idea what the 'hybrid' mode on the HotRC remote does? Ive rebound mine to the CT8A remote and im wondering if I lost any functionality. Thanks!
If it's running hot on 3S with a 24 tooth pinion it's going to be really hot on 4S with a 27 tooth pinion. That being said what exactly are you considering hot? No unfortunately I don't know what hybrid mode on the transmitter is. I doubt the CT6A has any functionality that the CT8a doesn't though
@@DoRC By running hot I mean if you touch the motor it feels hot. Nothing crazy - maybe 120º. certainly not hot enough to burn, but I had also been trying the 'power flip' more than a handful of times. Im guessing that's what heated it up
@@Nutz_forRCs okay yeah 120 is basically ice cold for a brushless motor. I can't guarantee that on 4S with that higher gearing it won't overheat though. I would try the same gearing on 4S and see how that goes first
Should be able to with the mount but I don't think it'll fit lengthwise without removing the receiver box and using the aluminum standalone servo mount.
You want to tape up all the screw holes in the motor before you drill or the shavings could get stuck inside the motor and that could destroy the motor.
I completely agree. That's definitely the safe way to go especially if you're grinding. With the drill it's not quite as big of a deal because it makes much larger shavings but covering things up is definitely the right way to do it.
Question, I have the Spektrum S2200 charger and the Supulse B3 V2 10W charger. Will I be able to charge the LIPO battery that comes with this OMNI Terminator truck?
Both of those can technically charge it though I would recommend using the spectrum charger as it is a better unit. You'll need to get XT60 to whatever the main input connector on the spectrum charger is probably EC3 or EC5.
Hey bro, Where do you find those plastic battery strap mounts? I have been searching down here in Australia but had no luck finding any....... Cheers love the videos btw.
@@DoRC I called myself doing it. Guess I need to read the manual and try again. I have the advanced transmitter, the one that comes with the $259 carbon fiber truck
@@MrShaw83 Well if it's always going One direction then trimming with the transmitter should work. If you turn the transmitter all the way as far as it can go and it still tries to go that same direction it's possible that the mechanical adjustment needs to be changed. The servo horn might be off by one tooth on the servo.
Thanks for another video before the presale. Do you know if the self righting feature is something that is programmed in to the carbon fiber version transmitter only?
@@GemFarmer76 honestly it's not a future I've really used much on the Traxxas cars. Any of the Traxxas cars that can do that automatically and also do it manually and I think that doing it manually is better and safer. The automatic system can get in a situation where one of the tires catches the ground which is how things get broken. I've been manually self righting pretty much any RC that'll do it for years with no issues.
That's a tough one. The MT-10 is a more proven platform and you're a lot more likely to be able to get spare parts for it. It's also larger but more expensive. I honestly don't think you'd be disappointed in either one so I would say if you want something a bit smaller get this if you want something a bit larger get the MT-10
@@DoRC I appreciate the help, I’ve seen comparisons of the two next to eachother and the size difference isn’t enough to be a deal breaker for me, I do like how rlaarlo has aluminum hop ups only downside is 2 weeks delivery, while mt10 is more like 1 week if they don’t have it in the local shops
Depends on what you mean. The battery tray dimensions are listed on the website. I think it's designed to fit a normal 2S sized hard case but a normal like 5,000 milliamp hour 4S is not going to fit.
This truck is really awesome - I got the carbon one am still so pleased, but so upset now I think I’ve busted it and don’t know what I’ve done so how to fix it - it kind of stutters and clicks while going in reverse much slower than it used to - can you help?
Does it only do it in reverse? Have you made sure the battery is charged and checked all the connections? Does it roll smoothly if you just roll it by hand with the power off?
@@DoRC - yep only when going reverse - checked everything but not tried it again since - battery was freshly fully charged was bashing for 10-15mjns then started the strange behaviour lol
Use this video on how to remove the motor you pinion gear is stripped. It includes a new one in the parts given at purchase. One screw in the cover will show the damage.
I'm not sure. I don't do automatic self-writing so I don't know how that works. I always do it manually by just alternating between throttle and brake.
Got a roller version with the bigger motor mount. Have a Hobbywing 10BL120 G2 that should fit rlaarlo esc mount. What motor would you recommend? Per HW the 3652 should only run 2-3s but I want to run 4s. Will it be ok 2600 kv? Seems dumb to put a 4268 in a 1/12 truck…
I think you'll be fine on 4S with a 2600 KV motor. Technically if you hold it up in the air and mash the throttle you'll probably over rev the motor but Don't do that :-)
I would go with the hobby wing 10 BL120 G2. Cheap and should fit right where the stock one was with possibly very minor trimming of the side pod. You will have to replace the ends on the motor wires though as it also takes 4 mm bullets.
What motor would be the perfect drop in from hobby wing? I bought the roller version and I'm curious what a good but budget friendly motor/esc combo would be for a straight drop in. Thanks!@@DoRC
@@DoRC thanks for the quick reply! What servo do you recommend? I found a smaller sized 15 kg on Amazon but not sure if it drop in or not. I'm probably going to go the hobbywing route because the combo is cheap haha
@SixIXMX it appears as though it's set up for what's known as a mini size servo but mini and micro tend to be used interchangeably and I'm not sure exactly what servos are going to fit this. I found a couple that look like they might but I really haven't dug into it too far.
Wait I forgot this thing had self righting (does it?), now for sure am gonna get one 👍 Also, would the carbon fiber version be more fragile than the normal?
My version didn't and I haven't really seen anything about it so I'm not sure if it does or not. I don't think the carbon fiber version will be any more fragile. The only parts on it that are carbon fiber are the two little center embraces and then some carbon fiber panels on top of the arms. Everything else is the same material. The carbon fiberone also has upgraded ring and pinions on the front and rear differentials.
@@DoRC at 8:05 you werent using the self righting on this version? I remember now in the advertisement, that it mentions self righting. The carbon fiber version has the self righting for sure
@@lyricofwise6894 TLDR: no self righting button on Rlaarlo, but anyone can self right many RCs with a little skill and enough tire \ wheel mass + horsepower (note: horse not included) self righting is just an automated way of doing what 4s and above (in my experience, depending on the shape of the body and vehicle) trucks can use rotational forces to 'seesaw' back onto their feet. i.e: rapid(ish) cycling of forward and reverse throttle, timed correctly to cause tire rotational mass to pivot RC back on its feet. The only difference between doing it yourself and "automatic" self righting, is the (TraxxASS) vehicles have 1) an accelerometer or gyroscope so that the truck stops the throttle inputs once it is back on its feet 2) a button to activate the "self righting" 3) an ESC or receiver "program" that inputs throttle commands until the gyroscope determines that the truck is right side up I'm probably the worst person to describe this, very clunkily. But you can "self right" any vehicle all by your own fingers on the throttle as long as you have enough tire mass and a vehicle with a short enough wheelbase and a body \ chassis design that doesn't prevent the righting. This truck has a shape that lends itself to self righting, and if the manufacturer put out a video that it CAN self-right, I'm 90% sure they expect you to do it manually, and it's not built into the transmitter \ truck. TraxxASS would probably sue Rlaarlo's ass and balls to the moon if they implemented a self righting button. I'm no expert and this is just my view of the situation. I just haven't seen any self righting button on the Rlaarlo transmitter, and Traxxas would probably sue them into oblivion if there was one.
You'll need to get the motor mount that originally comes with the carbon version. I can't remember what part number it is but you should be able to look it up on their website.
Subbed 👍! Any specs on those tires? They look like great tires for a rig i have. Are they like smaller than 100mm or more like 125mm u think? Im assuming a 12mm hub. And what a little monster. Cant believe it took that power, self righting or crashes. Im VERY impressed.
@@insanebmxthomas thanx for info! Im trying to find a similar tread in about 125mm that arent as heavy as a Proline. The HPI bullets “maze” pattern were my fav but they quit making them.
@cds1223 i think Ali has some trophy truck tire/wheels around the 112/130mm range. Personally i feel like this car could do with slightly larger tires. As long as they're squishy. The hbx 2997a tires look like they might be a good match? Otherwise i have no suggestions (im also new to rc, probably ask a veteran!)
@@Gamebit450 pretty much. Not all vehicles can do it due to their shape and power capabilities but that's really all the automatic system is doing. If you get the timing right as long as the car is capable of doing it it can be done. Of course there are those that will say that it's bad for the drivetrain but I don't actually believe that. As long as you don't do something like stay jammed on the throttle when one wheel hits the ground or keep on the throttle as it actually flips over it's fine.
Well technically it's not rated for it but I've got a few packs through mine now without issue. I suspect if you just jammed on the throttle and left it there with the wheels off the ground the motor would blow up but as long as you're a little careful with it it should be fine. That is a castle copperhead but I'd recommend getting a hobbywing 10 BL 120. It'll be cheaper and should work just as well.
The 4S battery is going to put more energy through the motor and more importantly will allow it to spin more quickly. It definitely could kill the motor. Mine's been fine but no guarantees.
The carbon version is def the one to go for for the reasons you mention, plus the larger more powerfull motor. The carbon version also comes with spiral cut steel gears, whilst the cheaper Aluminum version has straight cut alloy gears. Matt Simm tested the carbon version & got 30mph on 2s, 42mph on 3s & 58mph on 4s ( 120a esc fitted for 4s ). He did use the supplied high speed pinion on all runs.
As it comes from the factory you'll need to just unplug it to turn it off. If you want to be able to control it you'll have to buy an RC receiver light controller that can actually power the channel on and off.
@santommaso6740 they are standard JST receiver ports. Unfortunately no they're the power rails are the same as they've always been where it just passes the power directly through. I believe there are some receivers out there for some brands that might allow light control in one or two channels but I don't know specifically which ones they are. You might want to wait till you get the truck before worrying about it though because these lights really aren't that bright and you might not even find that you need to turn them on and off.
I hoping you'll be able to answer this question . Between this truck and the Aarma 3S BLX Vortex/Granite... which would you consider the better basher? I'm torn between the two options. Your thoughts?
That's really tough to say and it depends on what your priorities are. This truck seems fun and durable but really hasn't been around long enough to know how it will survive long-term. The granite is a known quantity with plenty of upgrades and spare parts available but it is larger and More expensive. I say if you want to play it safe get the granite but if you want to try something different go with one of these
That's definitely an option and it's really good to depend on what you already have and what your goals are. I think that the motor that comes in the carbon fiber version is going to be enough for pretty much anybody given that the smaller motor works really well already and even if you don't end up using this transmitter on this truck you could just keep it as a spare for something else so with the RTR you could just get a cheap ESC and that's it. I think overall that would be less money than buying the roller a combo transmitter receiver. You also get the battery which I probably won't end up using in this car but it's still a decent battery for something else. Ultimately though I don't think you can go wrong either way.
@@DoRC I personally would never get a roller, I am just not that much into the hobby. It just appeared to me that buying the carbon version and then swapping motor and ESC may not make too much sense. I am very much on the edge of getting the carbon version. Any maybe a larger pinion to get the car to 80-85 kpm. It's really a shame that in neither config it reaches the 80kpm, must be the limited C-value of the battery.
@@DoRC That obviously deserves being tested! If you are back to stock config, do you have a better battery to try? Because, if it is the ESC, getting the carbon version and using a bigger pinion won't make the car any faster I guess.
@@philote09 I don't have anything better on hand and I think even with a better battery you probably won't get impressive performance at the 45 amp ESC. I think I'll have to leave that testing for people that have the 60 amp version.

Tech / Stripped screw tip... Use a left handed drill bit. 99% of the time it will grab it as you start drilling and back it right out.
That definitely can work as long as there isn't thread lock on it. In this case I didn't have a left-handed bit that was small enough.
Pretty dang impressive, I was surprised it could handle the extra power that well, very nice 👌🏻
It handled it really well!

I'm in Florida so never really gets that cold here. Yeah seems like everybody's having a pretty good time with them! I don't generally go for absolute top speed and the power that I'm getting with this setup is more than adequate.
I hope mine and everyone’s comes with no issues out of the box 🙏😊
I'm sure there will be some issues but hopefully they will be few and far between.
Dude! Waiting for a brand new upgrade! You can install 1/8 of the tires!
With the 17 mm hex adapters you could but unless it was just buggy tires I think they would be way too big.
How are the cvd’s on this truck are they skinny and easily breakable or are they thick and strong
Probably cost.
@@DoRCtrue im enjoying my rally with the gyro receivers it works really well.
@babupranav nice.
I plan to use my ddf350 from the start. I've got a handful of transmitters brand new in the bubble wrap.
Well you can always make up for the KV with gearing though and The carbon does have a more powerful motor and ESC.
There's an ESC mount in the accessory bag so you can mount it to the arm.
Hmm. I didn't get one. Maybe it only comes with the carbon version?
@@DoRC Discipline RC got one in his and his was the same as yours. That's the only reason I know it comes with one. It should be in with the manual.
@Rockatha does he show it in his video? I just watched it and didn't see any mention of an ESC mount. If he does can you tell me exactly at what point in the video he shows it?
@@DoRC sorry it was Mathew Simms video for the carbon edition. It was at 7.20 so maybe it's only the carbon you can move the esc on.
@Rockatha okay. I just watched it. He was actually mistaken. Those are the parts that allow you to run the larger battery but they don't include a tray for the ESC to mount. You can see me install those parts in this video.
Great review! It looks pretty small I was picturing it being a bit bigger. Your right though it wants 4s! Was that the new castle cobra 6s esc?
No it's the Castle Copperhead. The Cobra 6s would be way too much

Hey Do Rc. Why do I have to re-bind my carbon fiber, om terminator every time I turn it on? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm not sure. I usually use my own remote when I'm reviewing vehicles so I don't have a lot of experience with that particular combo. You might want to go into the rlaarlo groups on Facebook and ask there.
You strip the factory pinion, it certainly because of the small pitch gear 48p. They should install 32p gear from the start.
Haven't stripped it yet.
@@DoRC Thank you for your review, I finally ordered the carbon version with aluminum servo mount :)
@samintrepid awesome let me know how you like it!
If the $200 aluminum version came with the 3650 motor, it would be the best bargain basher in RC right now. The $250 carbon fiber version seems to be the one to get. One thing I don't get is if the receiver box isn't water tight, why even bother to put it in a box?
Part of it is just because people expect to see a receiver in a receiver box but it does offer some protection.
Hey bro I got wobble drive shaft center, and bad wobble wheels… wheels on tight and no play or movement… so are axles bent out of box? Wheel axles?
@@DoRC the stock motor on the version carbon kan take 4s?
I think this could be my next true 4wd monster truck!
So far I'm really happy with mine. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

How did you bind(set throttle end points) the rlaarlo radio to the corally esc?

Can I use a 3660 motor in the carbon fiber one? With the mount in that
Should be able to with the mount but I don't think it'll fit lengthwise without removing the receiver box and using the aluminum standalone servo mount.
Did you run the servo at 6V or more? Website says it can handle 7.4V. Greets.
I don't think I changed it from the default 6 volts.
The esc that you mentioned. Should I get the sensorless version or the sensored ?

It was just a random old FPV quad battery that I had. Definitely not ideal
Thanks for doing this rig. Man, you put a beating into this sucker. sub!
Thanks for the sub!
Will I be able to charge the LIPO battery that comes with this OMNI Terminator truck?

can a normal servo fit? I'm thinking about the roller
No. It looks like it takes the mini servo standard which they don't seem to be too many options for. It's about a 36 mm width.
Would you recommend this over a mt10? And can you drop the link for the esc you put on it?
That's a tough one. The MT-10 is a more proven platform and you're a lot more likely to be able to get spare parts for it. It's also larger but more expensive. I honestly don't think you'd be disappointed in either one so I would say if you want something a bit smaller get this if you want something a bit larger get the MT-10

Technically if you hold it up in the air and mash the throttle you'll probably over rev the motor but Don't do that :-)
What was the ESC you recommended I couldn’t hear it toward the end
I would go with the hobby wing 10 BL120 G2. Cheap and should fit right where the stock one was with possibly very minor trimming of the side pod. You will have to replace the ends on the motor wires though as it also takes 4 mm bullets.

Also, would the carbon fiber version be more fragile than the normal?
My version didn't and I haven't really seen anything about it so I'm not sure if it does or not.
I don't think the carbon fiber version will be any more fragile. The only parts on it that are carbon fiber are the two little center embraces and then some carbon fiber panels on top of the arms. Everything else is the same material. The carbon fiberone also has upgraded ring and pinions on the front and rear differentials.
@@DoRC at 8:05 you werent using the self righting on this version?
I remember now in the advertisement, that it mentions self righting.
The carbon fiber version has the self righting for sure
@@lyricofwise6894
TLDR: no self righting button on Rlaarlo, but anyone can self right many RCs with a little skill and enough tire \ wheel mass + horsepower (note: horse not included)
self righting is just an automated way of doing what 4s and above (in my experience, depending on the shape of the body and vehicle) trucks can use rotational forces to 'seesaw' back onto their feet. i.e: rapid(ish) cycling of forward and reverse throttle, timed correctly to cause tire rotational mass to pivot RC back on its feet. The only difference between doing it yourself and "automatic" self righting, is the (TraxxASS) vehicles have
1) an accelerometer or gyroscope so that the truck stops the throttle inputs once it is back on its feet
2) a button to activate the "self righting"
3) an ESC or receiver "program" that inputs throttle commands until the gyroscope determines that the truck is right side up
I'm probably the worst person to describe this, very clunkily.
Hi bro so if i want to upgrade 2852 motor to 3650 motor ,what should i do? Thanks!😮

@@DoRC Ok so dumb question how do you manually do it? Just press forward and backwards?
@@Gamebit450 pretty much. Not all vehicles can do it due to their shape and power capabilities but that's really all the automatic system is doing. If you get the timing right as long as the car is capable of doing it it can be done. Of course there are those that will say that it's bad for the drivetrain but I don't actually believe that.
I say if you want to play it safe get the granite but if you want to try something different go with one of these
I hope they have enough stock...
Hope so too. I think this thing's going to be pretty popular
That transmitter is a rebranded Dumbo rc transmtter
Yep and the one on the carbon version is a rebranded hot RC transmitter
Why not go straight for the roller? Rlaarlo has an even better 8 channel remote with gyro for 40 bucks. Then you just need a motor and esc combo.

@@DoRC I would just like them to reach out and give me the insurance that is coming that's all I'm asking I understand there company is starting and their products are great so they probably are not but be real with your cousin and don't charge extra for something that's not going to happen. Thanks man
100% agree with you! My order was from April in stock. Still waiting, tracking don’t move! Customer service is terrible 😣 I go for PayPal dispute and do no not recommend this company. This company spent a lot of money in marketing, but nothing in good experience. I hope big influencers like you tell them. Normal people have no influence.
Traxxas sucks!! I have had bad luck with three of their chargers and felt cheated by them, but I should have reacted differently. I enjoy their rcs a lot and feel bad for bashing them as a company.
What don't you like about them?
@@DoRCthey don't honor their quality or respect customers/me that have spent thousands with them. ( just spent $500 last week.
@@EdisonRCWorkshop thanks..
Not sure who that Edison RC workshop guy was but that wasn't me.
I love the comment. I hate traces also, and the fan club
price?
Depends on which version you want. The aluminum version is 199 and the carbon fiber is 249.
I've been saying for And that's how the A long time everyone kept giving me shit about you can't run a 4S on that you're gonna blow things up blah blah blah period But I'm glad you made a video about it
To be fair the people that say you'll blow up the motor are technically correct. When you go over the voltage recommendation you will over rev the motor at times and whereas usually it's not a problem that doesn't mean it's guaranteed to not be a problem :-)
