“Your nails are jewels, not tools.” I heard someone online use this phrase and it couldn’t be more true
Very true, but clients don't seem to get it. They want to get gel/acrylic because they are "hard on their nails". And they wonder why they get damage. In order for gel and acrylic not to damage your nails you have to care for your nails more, not less. Be more gentle on them, not harder. No-one seems to see it the way I do.
Using 99% alcohol as a prep really brings my longer lasting nail polish experience. Previously my mani can only last not more that 3 days and started to see obvious chip, now my mani won't chip with 5-6 days wear, only a little wear off at the tip~
The look of that polish is very nice. I would totally pay you to do my nails but overall I don’t trust the nail salons in the US. And that is why I watch you to learn how to do my own nails. (Plus now I like to change the color frequently.) My mom has been doing dip nails and it got to the point where her nails break easily even with the dip polish on, so now they added some gel overlay. She does the salon trips as a social thing but I think she needs to take a break and grow her nails back out so they can be strong again.

LOL! Drinking in the AM is unfortunately easy to get used to! My own experience on beach resorts will vouch for that 🤪🤪🤪

Yes I have used Rimmel Supergel. In fact I have the exact shade you used. I found it quite good, especially for price. It is very widely available here in the Uk. Its sold in supermarkets and chemists such as Boots and Superdrug etc. I have been making ginger and turmeric shots to help with a very painful shoulder (rotator cuff/impingment issues) which unfortunately stained my nails so I must remember to wear gloves next time. 🥴

So sorry to hear you have issues with your shoulder. I had a frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) 6 years ago. It was brutal. I also used turmeric for it and I think it helped a little but I took the pills.
I ended up having 2 cortisone injections and that really helped with the pain. They also initially diagnosed me with rotator cuff issue/impingment but it ended up being FS.
Now I'm starting to have issue with the other shoulder 😢. Eating lots of curcumin now....
@@TheSalonLife Sorry to hear that. I have just recently found that hanging is helping quite a bit. I started just holding onto top of a door and bending my knees to feel a good stretch. I felt the benefit right away. I have just bought a pull up bar which i fitted in a door frame. This is much more comfortable on my fingers. I can not take all my weight for 30 secs. I can now do other exercises which I couldnt before. It is well tested therapy which helps with many people.
Oh wow, that's good! I couldn't even move my arm with someone helping me above my shoulders (not near feeling any stretch), the pain was so bad it felt like someone punched me taking away my breath away.
I found that any stretching in any direction even later, when I was recovering caused me more pain the following days. Like a constant 24/7 gnawing pain. Painkillers were not touching it.. This was frozen shoulder.
This one is way better. It only hurts when I move it certain ways (internal and external rotation)... but that's how my FS started on the other size so I'm a little scared.
@@TheSalonLife Sounds horrendous. I wasn't nearly as bad as you but the exercises the pysio gave me made it 10 times worse. After about 5 weeks I found several physical therapist on You Tube recommending the hanginging technique and gave it a go and felt the benefit right away. Enough so i could start doing strengthening exercises again. Bob and Brads you tube channel is quite good. I am going to continue to strengthen both shoulders so they are strong and hopefully it doesnt happen again. I still hVe a bit of impingment but its not nearly so bad. Good luck with your shoulder recovery too.
