You are a lifesaver, I was always curious if the clip worked with the old controller but now I know! Much appreciated my man, great review
Glad to see you test this with the previous controller. When they announced these, the company wasn't officially supporting the use of the clip with the old one, saying that it did fit but wasn't necessarily a secure fit. This is good news that it fits for you. I bought the SN30 Pro+ just last fall, so I'm not eager to buy the new one just to get the new clip, which I would like for its new features, most importantly the opening that allows the USB to go through. The ability to run the cable is especially useful to me. Thanks for going over this.

it is not, the regular sn30 pro is thinner controller than the plus and 2 variants.
i wish they made one for the sn30

Good review Lon, can you confirm if the controller worked in wired mode with Android?
8bitdo says it will work, according to an answer to a question posted on the Amazon product page. I know for certain that the previous version of the controller works wired on Android, so I expect this new one to work as well. Hopefully, that will be confirmed soon enough by a user.

just the +, the plus version is waaaay thicker than the non + version, I had both

Does this clip work with the older SN30 Pro model? That's the one without the grip legs.
Yes it does, although there is a little bit of space underneath. Doesn't affect the fit though.

$15 for the phone clip alone on Amazon atm
Roughly 50 for the remote. 15 for the clip. Extra 15 for a carry case that fits both. So roughly 80 for the full package 8bitdo is releasing.
