@@JohnLetra I hate to tell them their business but they should be able to. The only reason might be if the truck belongs to a company. Then I can see.
@@CarlosDieselElectric i just bought the truck from Tennessee drove it home idle everything fine not shutting off then the truck have a broken shift controller and split pin go in repair after repair is done then the idle shut off after every 5 min and they charged me 400$ to remove the idle shutdown but no password
Hi, do you have a contact email??? Thanks
Carlosdiesel@sbcglobal.net
Ok how do I get the software
The software is available from Diagnostic Link from Nexiq.
They offer two levels, standard and professional version.
Do all diesel mechanics do this?
If they have the correct software they should be able to.
But your truck can not be password protected. By default the password is 00000 unless it has been changed.
@@CarlosDieselElectric so if it’s a company truck, will it likely have a password?
@@fartingrhinoceros small fleets usually do not have a password. Trucks that come from larger fleets like Swift, Schneider usually have a password. You won’t know until you plug in and try and make the changes.
What software do i need to buy to do that?
The software I use is from Detroit. It can be purchased from Nexiq.
They have to subscriptions available. Standard which you can do just about anything you need and Professional which allows you to perform updates on top of changes.
