I still remember the OG Greedo death. Han shot out his body, resulting in just his head and arms floating in midair. Greedo then looks down where his body was, before gravity kicks in and his Lego pieces fall in a heap.
Another bit of censorship I've noticed was the blood on Finn's helmet being replaced with a smear of cake.
It was paint or fruit/veg goo in the standalone Force Awakens game iirc.

@@seriousnesstv7902 True, he didn't even get decapitated. And even if he did get decapitated, Maul is shown to still be perfectly fine after losing his head. He is also still shown to be alive while on the bottom of the ship, and as we know Star Wars characters can fall from great distances.

@Nathan D you can tell a lot was cut, they skip over Alderaan being blown up, but I feel like that’s because they skipped the interrogation scenes with Leia, as we go straight from Mos Eisley to the remains of the planet and the Death Star.
Also no Tarkin scenes even though he had a big role in ANH!
I enjoyed how the death parts (like Han Solo’s death) was made kid friendly. Didn’t think about the romance parts so that was new to me

Ok on the topic of new death scenes, I think the fact they didn’t kill him like in the move is because well. His Lego form is fucking weird and he has fat rolls to make the chain go and I would feel uncomfortable a bit, this fat slob yelling and screaming and then just fucking passing out. It’s weird so is the movie kinda

Yeah I think they made the game overly funny and ruined a lot of good scenes. They should have just redone scenes from Lego Star Wars 1 and 2
Actually Jabba still dies. In the quest to unlock that Rancor keeper guy, he states that he thought he didn't need to work at Jabba's palace anymore, since Jabba was on board his ship when it exploded.
Thank you for acknowledging that Order 67 is a “Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III” reference! Also, I’m glad that they made Order 66 a little more kid-friendly in this game.

Dude, dookus death is the same as the Complete saga. I don’t see the problem there. Also some of these people who die still die, like Zam Wessel. You can see the dart is still implied as lethal when Obi Wan accidentally kills a dude in Dexters diner with it.
I NEVER found Padme and Anakin’s romance boring at all, I’m always so invested in them. I really don’t understand where all the hate comes from. At this point, it feels like the people who complain about with the Prequel films are in an echo chamber.
Tbh. I agree, if people complain about the prequels, I would shove the sequels in their faces to show them what they really should hate. I still hated that scene with Ray and Kylo kissing..it was really rushed and really messed up since Ray "made herself as a Skywalker" and Kylo Ren is a Skywalker since Luke is his god damn uncle! The romance scene was disturbing and made no sense whatsoever. If it would be Finn and Ray kissing, that's understandable, cause the writers completely forgotten The Force Awakens when Ray kissed Finn's forehead while he was unconscious which really made me think they would've been an actual good couple but Ray and Kylo...yea, the writers were seriously on crack when they made these movies. Force Awakens was pretty good but still wish they could've made the other 2 good as that one.

Censorship in LEGO games has always been fascinating to me. It seems that when they first started back in the early 2000’s, there were definitely major cuts here and there, but deaths were handled in a disturbingly natural way. Qui-Gon getting stabbed and having his eyes turn to X’s, Padmé also getting X eyes after giving birth, and Jabba’s aforementioned chokeout. But on the other hand, Order 66 was practically disregarded in the original games.
It seems as time went on, censorship began to get much stronger with LEGO adaptations. Sometimes funny, sometimes insulting. For some personal examples:
Funny-The Hobbit: When Bilbo gets tackled by a Goblin and the two tumble into Gollum’s cavern, Bilbo awakens to find that the creature has captured the disabled goblin and eats it alive. In LEGO, the Goblin gets amnesia and joins Bilbo as his P2 to help solve Gollum’s riddles.
Not Funny-Avengers Age of Ultron: This game had a really weird obsession with animals, man. And as if Quicksilver wasn’t done dirty enough, he tries to save a pig’s life and Ultron substitutes bullets to gun him down with…ice cream? What even?
Mixed-LEGO Jurassic World: This film series is practically horror. And where there is horror, there is death. This is what makes Jurassic Park/World such as strange choice to me. They had to go out of their way to make sure that every character death was either undermined with a joke or they just ran away. But these can be pretty funny sometimes, like in Jurassic World where we see a bunch of the people who were supposed to die in the first movie (like Nedry and Muldoon) cameo in a cutscene where they have clearly aged and are still running for their lives from dinosaurs after all those years.
Lego Star Wars 2 was almost 20 years ago. Standards for kid friendly probably changed.
I was surprised that they didn’t let you fight the younglings for order 66 :(

Because no one enjoy kids death especially brutal one's, later adaptation remove the entire event.
Some of these aren’t really censored exactly, but are either just decisions taken to add extra jokes or attempts at explaining why they might still exist in the overworld after the player fights them. And some are just streamlining the story when there’s an entire movie’s worth of cutscenes.

Do people have a problem with kisses?
Han Solo's death. He was a major character in the Star Wars movies and to me, they ruined his death by making him fix Kylo Ren's lightsaber when it malfunctions, creating a hole in the floor and causing Han to fall to his death. I know it's a lego game, but it was really disappointing to see his death like that. Not to mention they kept his original death in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, just changed the camera position to Rey and Finn when Kylo stabs Han, but changed it to this one.

Decapitations are cool with LEGO Minifigures since they often fall apart and collapse to pieces and Anakin would slaughter a bunch of Jedi characters and Tusken Raiders to pieces! Also, Jango Fett would shoot Zam Wessell to pieces after Obi-Wan cuts her arm off, Jango would have his head and one of his arms cut off after being trampled over by several characters, Leia would still strangle Jabba the Hutt with his corpse being placed in the explosion of his Sail Barge, Greedo would be shot to pieces in the Cantina and fall apart, Yoda would still decapitate Clone Troopers to pieces, etc.!
It's a Lego game of course it's not mature or serious , that's the whole point of their game??

That is true, since they are aimed at kids. Hence why the games censor scenes (especially when it comes to the more mature movies like Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and even Jurassic World).

They always does that
They still comical reference Anakin's hatred of sand in one of the Opening Crawls for Attack of the Clones (the opening crawl text occasionally changes to reflect what has previously happened in the story) where they note Anakin was having nightmares about his mother and sand. They then make a jab by saying that upon arriving on Tatoonie their nightmares were realized as Tatoonie was still covered in sand. Its a subtle reference, but a reference to the line none the less.
Additionally, while on Tatoonie or Jakku, the LEGO figures of characters will graphical depict sand as realistically sticking to certain parts of their model such as capes. I also think Darth Vader references his hatred for sand at some point though I can't remember when it happened.
There's actually more to Greedo's conflict with Han as there is a mission where you can assist some Stormtroopers in their investigation of what happened during the incident between the two. Completing said mission unlocks Greedo.
For me, the most irritating and censored thing was Anakins mom death scene. Like seriously they couldn't even show the mom. Like at least show the mom!
Yeah, we only see Ani distraught and no sign of his mother at all or even a hint she's in the tent.
Pretty sure the original Lego Star Wars didn’t even mention it happened so it’s ironically more than what the original did.

I don’t find that the Rey and Ben kiss came out of nowhere. They definitely had a connection throughout the entire trilogy and I know a lot of fans didn’t have an issue with it.

While Lego SW: Skywalker Saga is technically a fuller story, I believe The Complete Saga is more faithfully adapted.
But overall skywalker saga is a better game

I’m gonna get backlash but I’ll say it. I actually kinda enjoyed the dialogue between Anakin and Padme in their romantic scenes. It was kinda cute, like he did tease her a little and played a prank on her which really showed them getting along well. After that yeah I understand it was a little off with them being alone by the fire place. But the prequels were mostly for adults that grew up on the original trilogy as kids. That’s why there’s a lot of politics and drama involved.
One funny thing about Count Dooku's death is that in Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga Anakin immediately stabbed him without Palpatine even saying anything.
I noticed that during Takodana, Finn says Thats One Hellava Pilot, but in the Skywalker Saga, he says That's One Heckava Pilot

Something really funny that someone pointed out was Snoke’s chair folding over just as he dies, so he still slumps due to being cut in half, you just can’t see it.
Well it's a Lego game targetted for children so what did you expect? I'm honestly fine with the brutal deaths and great romances are left for the movies to explain. Besides I enjoy the serious and romantic scenes with the real actors that potrayed those characters. Though in a way TCS managed to pull off brutal and and some romantic scenes well.
Pretty much all of Episode 3 had to be toned down somehow. I mean, it's the only one of the Prequels that was rated PG-13; I think even the OT was PG

Qui Gons Death was also censored He Still Died and was still stabbed in the stomach but it only shows him Giving a pained expression and then falling over where as in the original Game It happened just like the movie

Yeah, in the movie he is only cut in half, but in here, he is cut in half, then his arms are cut out and then his head is cut.

They somewhat censored the scene where Vader tells Luke that he's his father, because you just had him speaking in a slightly panicked voice in the game instead of the "THAT'S NOT TRUE! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!"

1:15-1:28 I highly disagree with the idea fans keep repeating that the kiss between Ben & Rey and the end was “unnecessary” and “forced”. I believe that since Episode 8 they’ve been planting the seeds of them becoming more attractive to each other, and the kiss at the end of Episode 9 is the culmination of that arc between them. It seems wrong to me that people hate it and think it “doesn’t make sense” because the way I see it, there was indeed a love forming between them throughout TLJ and TROS.

There is one thing that I was disappointed to not seeing is the wampa attack scene from the beginning of star wars episode 5 the empire strikes back but in both the movie and Lego Star wars the complete saga it did have the wampa attack scene.?
Padme and Ani's romance thing...in the game, she seemed a bit too obsessed with Ani to me. I liked the whole "Let's show Ren as a Darth Vader fanboy the only way people these days would know how it is" and how Palpatine was making grandpa jokes toward Rey. Although why he wanted the name "Kira" has yet to be known.
All I could think of was Quira from Solo, but ehh?? I'm not too sure 😂

I saw Episode II in theaters at age 8, and I loved the scenes with Anakin and Padmé. Padmé reminded me of this girl in my class that I had a crush on. We were super close for years before drifting apart in middle school.
Not a big change, but I’m surprised Finn said “one heck of a pilot” in Episode 7 when the original line “helluva pilot” was used in the Force Awakens stand alone lego game.

LEGO censors too much in the new games. At least in The Force Awakens game, Han’s death was treated more respectfully. I accept some of their scenes, but most of the deaths are too goofy now, and I can’t take the scenes seriously

In the "JABBA STILL ALIVE" was fixed 6 seconds after it, his ship explodes with him, so he died in both ways.

I think the reason they didn't change Jabba's death the first time was because the simpler graphics could leave players thinking Jabba was just tired or unconscious after being choked out. With better graphics, it would probably be harder to excuse such ambiguity
They really didn’t need to censor anything because if kids aren’t gonna watch the movies, why would they play the game.
