    Westerly, Rhode Island
    From wikipedia..
Westerly is a town on the southwestern shoreline of Washington County, Rhode Island, first settled by English colonists in 1661 and incorporated as a municipality in 1669. It is a beachfront community on the south shore of the state with a population of 23,359 as of the 2020 census.
The Pawcatuck River flows on the western border of Westerly and was once renowned for its own species of Westerly salmon, three of which are on the town's official seal. The river flows from 15 mi (24 km) inland, emptying into Little Narragansett Bay. It also serves as the boundary between Westerly and Pawcatuck, Connecticut. Three large salt ponds lie along the coast of Westerly which serve as shallow, reef-like pools whose outer walls form the long, white beaches for which the town is renowned. From west to east, these ponds are Maschaug Pond, Winnapaug Pond, and Quonochontaug Pond.
The Westerly area was known for its granite and stone-cutting industry,[3][4] which quarried a unique stone known as Westerly granite. This pinkish granite is ideal for statuary and has been used in numerous government buildings of several states on the eastern seaboard.[5]
Westerly becomes a popular tourist destination during the summer months when the population nearly doubles.[6] Its well-known beaches include Weekapaug Beach, Westerly Town Beach, Misquamicut State Beach, East Beach, and Watch Hill Beach.

Born & raised- used to be our town to shop for just about anything till the malls were built. Miss the old days for sure but we have a lovely town- thanks for showcasing it!

My sister and I loved Westerly we went to Miscuamacut all the time and Newport, Watch Hill. If I had to leave Hamden home of Quinnipiac U., Conn., that's where I would live!

My grandfather had a taxi stand (I think on High St), I shopped downtown, and worked downtown for a short time, and loved walking in the park. I am now in Florida, and I miss Westerly so much! Westerly has changed so much, it's so cute!! Sadly, however, I don't think I can afford to live there now, due to the housing shortage and prices of them. I would love to go back. Thank you for posting this video!!

I’m from Brazil and lived there in my twenties as an au pair! It was the greatest time of my life. Thank you so so so much for this video, it warmed my heart, and I was able to show my friends and family back home what it was like. Yours is by far the best video of westerly in RUclips.

My wife and I lived there as newlyweds, and it was a lovely hometown. The 4th of July with the band concert and fireworks in Wilcox Park is not to be missed!

I lived there 50 years ago. My two oldest children were born in Westerly Hospital. My younger sister still lives there and I have nieces and nephews there. It’s a nice town. The beach is a great.

Too bad you didn't continue a little further up Railroad Avenue past the train station. You would have seen the renowned music venue, The Knickerbocker, and, just a little further still, the iconic Westerly Armory, which houses a community history museum and serves as a venue for functions in its drill hall. Also, would have enjoyed a little fuller treatment of the Wilcox Park than the view from the esplanade. (Perhaps you did another video of just the park.)
