You really are amazing. I have been learning from you for awhile now. I really appreciate that you don't ever talk down or make us feel lazy or dirty. You understand the special needs of crafters. I have scoliosis with an s shaped back. I couldn't be like everyone else and have one curve, it had to be 2. Sigh.... You understand chronic pain and the toll it takes on mind and body. I truly hope you get your RV. I can't think of a more deserving person.
Such a fabulous idea! I have 5 sons and no one else is on board to keep our shelves organized. So, I do reorganize frequently. Especially, after grocery shopping. At least, I know where everything is.
Right??? Why can't they get on board! LOL As my kids are getting older, it's getting better. I keep reminding myself, soon they will move out and it will just be me and a fur baby - and then I'll miss having to straighten up after them. 💜
I LOVE that ribbon idea! I don't know how many times I've pulled out boxes to get to stuff under the sink because I've forgotten what's in there! LOL! Thank you!
I recently discovered you and have enjoyed watching many of your videos. Something I've found helpful with canned goods is to take a sharpie marker and write what it is on the top of the can. Abbreviate if necessary. Then you don't have to pick up each can to see what it is. Thanks for all your tips!
Even a deep shelf can’t hide those Oreos in the back-I will find those cookies. I actually used this method for food storage containers; I been doing this for a few years and it works great. Btw the dish storage racks work great to sort and contain lids.
I’ve done the container system for years. I found it helpful to write the name of the canned contents, “corn”, “peas”, etc on the top of the cans. I also write the expiration date under the name. I use a broad tipped Sharpie to label the cans.
I have a kitchen cabinet that has a fixed shelf that creates the perfect spot for my taller items. BUT! The space below is full depth, but only about 4” tall! In my last house, I had plenty of pantry space, so I used it to store my stack of oversize disposable roaster pans and a few smaller items that I rarely used. Now, it’s the best place in my kitchen (really, the only place!) for my large cookie sheets and cake pans. I can slide out the whole thing easily, and no wasted space! Wonderful solution for those tricky spaces!
5:09 when talking about taking things out of the boxes...I do that with freezer items as well since many times the boxes themselves take up so much valuable space!
I'm constantly rearranging my kitchen pantry due to the shelves being so deep. Putting items I only need occasionally right at the back seemed logical, right up till everything had to be moved to access those items. I'm most definitely going to implement your brilliant but simple (and oh so affordable) solution. Thank you.
Oh I need to have my daughter watch this.... She has a very deep pantry.... She uses narrow plastic trays and the stair step unit..... She may find this video very helpful... Ty
It’s a pleasure to watch your videos and learn so many innovative and inexpensive solutions to storage. Thank you for helping us organize our lives on a budget. You are a gem!
Hi I use little white baskets that's I get at the pound shop, put my tins in they, and small red baskets my tea bags, so I can pull it out and find what I need , I used your good work ,
I love this idea. I’ve been doing this for several years in the lower cabinets of my kitchen. I especially like using it for my small appliances that I don’t use everyday. I can slide it out an access what I need.
Thank you for putting centimetres in. I have used plastic containers for a few years and if a grouping isn’t working like my baking bin at the moment I revisit 😁
I've done this with shallow litter boxes...new ones, of course! LOL! They happened to be the only ones I had access to in my small town, but worked very well. In my new home I have some very narrow, deep shelves so the hunt is on! Thanks for all you do!!
My pantry is very narrow too. I found some that fit for this same purpose at the Container Store in their closet organizer section - elfa, I think? It's the modular system they sell. The baskets (metal mesh) are supposed to be on a wire rack that they sell. I just slide them in and out of my pantry closet. They're perfect.
When we moved house, to a much smaller house (!) moving stuff from my kitchen cupboards was really easy. I had stuff in boxes in the cupboards and all I had to do was take the boxes to my new kitchen and put them in the cupboard. Difficulties set in when I realised I didn't have as many cupboards and, when the boxes were stored I didn't get back to check dates and things for a long time as I was ill and it was a mammouth task when I did get round to it. It is time I checked again!! Thanks for your ideas, always very thoughtful and inspiring.
You are my angel 💙 I have been watching you for a year or so. This is my first post. This is a great idea. I have a large pantry and it's always getting into a mess. I organize it and a month later, you would never know I even did it. I will be using this idea. Also your last video about making the moving cart is brilliant. I already have a microwave cart on wheels I have been using for my craft supplies. Plus I already have a large peg board that I havent hung up yet. So this project is going to be do inexpensive for me to do. My husband even said he would help me make it. Win win. Thank you so much for all your wonderful tips n tricks. Like I said you are my angel 😘
Cardboard boxes also slide well in side cabinets. That's what I use for my base cabinets to hold my pans and heavy bake-ware. To make them pretty, I cover them in fabric. And to protect the fabric and cardboard from wear, I also place felt on the bottom.
I like this idea. I did that with my top corner cabinet. I used a lazy Susan for my meds on the bottom shelf. On the middle shelf I used a basket from DT to put my storage bags in. I took the storage bags out of their box and put them in one of their bags for more room. So I have snack bags up to gal size bags all in one basket. Plus room for the tin foil and wax paper in the basket. Then I pull out the basket when I need a bag. Works great. I think you shared that tip in another video! The top shelf is for things I don't use very often. Thank you for your videos! I love them and I really appreciate you! Blessings to you always!
Perfect timing for this solution!!! I have these cabinets in the kitchen, and a very deep linen closet in the bathroom. I have organized baskets, but in order to get to the things in the back, I have to pull out the baskets in front. As I was looking at the linen closet, I was trying to think of better way. Ta Da your video!!! Thank you so much. Have a great week!
I have a 'baking' zone in a basket. So easy to just grab that basket & start baking! Mine has measuring spoons & cups, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa, Crisco, vanilla, etc.
I really appreciate this idea! You are a genius Norrine! I have some deep lower cabinets and very high deep cabinet shelves. Up to now I have been taking everything out and putting it all on the floor to find what I need. Wow! This will help so much! I’m going to find some bins. Love the ribbon tag idea too.
I don't remember how I found you and your beautiful personality and your oh! so incredible ideas and creativity! But I am grateful I did. I just can't get enough of watching your videos. Thank you. I wish you far more than 100K subscribers, I'll do my part in spreading your channel.

Norrine. I just love your Channel and when you did the collaboration it was FANTASTIC . I love watching you both, you have helped me in so many ways, and I do Thank you so much for that♥️♥️
brilliant idea, I already have the little Ikea boxes but have to pull several out to get to what I want, in one of these I just have to pull my 'drawer' out, no brainer so need to source them.
😀 thats exactly what I did about 4 years ago and it has been great, so much easier to find things I need and to stay organized! Wow! I just love your ideas and to know I already have one in use!👏
