Everything is in harmony, the room, indoor plants, a picture on the wall and a wonderful Teacher. Very good useful exercises and great emotions. Thank you.
Ms. Martin! As a person with PD I have a serious instability problem. Performed many balance exercises. Yours is the best and I have high expectations following you. Thank you.
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making your house look pretty in the background. Since I'm exercising in my home, I prefer to follow exercise routines where the person isn't in a gym. I have followed along several times per week for almost a year and have noticed a big improvement in my balance, especially when I get dressed.
wonderful! I am SO grateful for you and your video. I'm 68yo, nonathletic (ever), with significant scoliosis per doc, osteoporosis (1st fall resulted in T11-T12 compression fracture), osteoarthritis, and just recently diagnosed with RA! These exercises are wonderful and I look forward to having ability to not only subscribe. Feeling like I grow daily in greater appreciation of my MIL's saying: "Aging is NOT for sissies!:
Excellent! One thing I would add. I notice that when I start to lose my balance, I start to hold my breath. So being mindful of my breath and not holding it.
Margaret,so glad I found you . I am 3 months post op from right hip surgery which I had 2 of the gluteal muscles reattached after a pickle ball injury. PT is going well but we have not worked on my balance yet and I love these simple balance exercises.
I do do these exercises already for balance, but love the extra information you've provided about variations while doing the first one (eye and head movements, etc.), for both, keeping the standing leg soft, making sure the pelvis is straight and good posture. One question, how many reps and how many reps and how many sets would you recommend for each one of these. I do have your book and have put it to very good use. Thank you, Margaret.
Hi Margaret! While watching/doing this video, it seemed familiar and I realized I had done them before from your book, Exercise for Better Bones! Time to go back and review all those excellent activities, especially balance! Many thanks for that outstanding book and another great video! ❤
Thank you, good balance exercise! I started doing Asian squats to help getting up when I'm in a deep bend when picking up something. Do you have a video on a proper Asian squat to build strength in legs?
Thanks for the info. I am 65 and I would like to eventually be able to cut the grass without having to sit down for a few minutes because my hips are aching.
Doing the beginners balance exercise but never sure how long to do it. A few minutes. Several or more minutes? Same with the chair squat exercises. How many sets and reps is a good starting point?
It wasn't easy for me. But I'll keep trying. I have osteoporosis and both knees and left ankle replacement. My left foot had a nerve clipped. Doesn't feel normal.
Wish I could blur the background and more clearly see your instructional movements. The busy background can be distracting. No disrespect or negative vibes at all. Thank you for all of the wonderful info.😊❤
I would like to try these but unfortunately I can't do anything barefoot. I have neuromas under both feet with the left foot being worse. Putting sustained pressure on that foot can be painful.

In today's video I present the two best exercise to improve balance for beginners and seniors. Enjoy!

Since retiring, I find that I wear slide in type of flip flops most of the time.
Does this impact balance? 🍀
Where exactly or how do we find your play list from this video
Thank you 👏
You're welcome 😊

Agree.. the background is busy and she is hard to see

Should the knees be soft and bent for the first exercise??
My knees hurt too bad to stand on 1 leg
😍
I have one leg shorter than the other so it's uncomfortable for me.
Thank you ❤️
