You’re by far the best teacher I’ve been able to find. One of the things I find to be most helpful is that when you’re teaching it is so important to use the stabbing method. Something in my brain has a very hard time following people who use the sewing method. I just can’t follow it. Also, this has been one of my favorite tutorials as I absolutely love the feather stitch in all its beauty. Thank you
Stabbing method when it's in a frame, sewing method for when it's hand held Robin! I have been asked by someone to show how to form the stitches when not using a frame so I may explore this in another video...
Thank You soooo much!
Thanks a lot, dear Sarah, beautifull stich
Beautiful Sarah

Thank you for generously giving your time to demonstrate the variations. It is really helpful to see the stitches done in this format. I have never tried combining various combinations in my embroidery and after watching you I am excited to try these out.
I got a bit carried away Catherine! It was fun to play with them and have the opportunity to do so....

You’re an absolutely wonderful instructor! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts and talents! ❤🙏🏾
The first and third are my favorites; I think they are so delicate and pretty. The fourth one gives me watery vibes. Before adding the second layer, I thought it looked like mermaid scales. After the second layer was added, my brain pictures fan coral.
That's what's wonderful about these stitches Heather, with a bit of imagination you can make them whatever you want!
Thank you for sharing these wonderful stitches with us
You are a "chance find" and I am very happy about it! I love your calm, accurate, fantastic and artistic work. Your videos are like meditation for me and of course INSPIRATION ❣❣❣❣❣ Just great! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Wow! Isn't it amazing how you can combine different simple stitches and make something so beautiful??
Thank you for this wonderful easy to follow tutorial. I put it to use right away on my slow stitching project and once I got the hang of it, it was easy to master. You are a terrific resource and I appreciate everything that you do for the stitching community on RUclips.
It took me a while to master french knots but now I have I love them
I found this video very helpful for me for new ideas for old stitches. Our pets also help when sewing.
Amazing! I just can't stop watching all of your videos.
With you cat sitting on your threads, you will now have angora thread!!! lol And thank you for that video. I am a beginner (started last year), and I love inspiration videos like yours.
Ginger Angora Carole!!
Thank you Sarah so much
Sarah you have truly inspired me to this art of slow stitching beautiful things. I have come to love the sound of the thread popping through a hooped canvas as you stitch. I never used to use the hoop as it seemed to be so more laborious than the sewing method. But now in my old age I am no longer in such a hurry. I have come to admire the methodical precision of stitching in the hoop. And I too have a ginger cat who sits on my thread or in my lap swatting at the thread as it goes by. (Grrrr. )
I loved seeing the different kinds of feather stitches 🪡 Love you Sarah 💝 India
Binge watching you. Great!
Thanks for this 😊💕
Pets make everything better! I'm so happy I found your channel Sarah, thank you for sharing your art!

I've never quilted; but, I sew and have done embroidery. I have always wanted to do a velvet crazy quilt and these feather stitch designs would be so lovely.
Feather stitch is great on crazy quilts, covers up raw edges really well Rebecca!
This is so fascinating - they are all so beautiful.
Thanks to your tutorials, I was able to make a gift for the man I love for his birthday.
This means a lot, as we are in two different continents and COVID has made it next to impossible to meet. The gift is as close as we could be for now.
I can't thank you enough.
And of course, I appreciate your clear and lucid presentation. You made a novice like me able to actually get something presentable embroidered.

Thank you Sarah! I love the last one with the hearts & beads, I'm thinking about using it in 2 projects I'm planning, the 1st one is I wanna stitch it on both sides of this cute denim pants I bought for my niece, I'll stitch it all the way down. And the 2nd one I will stitch it on a white satin ribbon and use it to thread this cute lace crocheted head band I made for my other baby niece. Thank you for the ideas, I will use them all eventually. God Bless you and your family.

Hi Sara, could we do the hearts chain without the extension on the sides? Maybe by making a very short thread on one side?
