Very inspiring! Looking forward to having a go myself! I do enjoy your videos! I find it relaxes me after a long day at work! Thanks again Sarah and Jonathan!
Sarah I’m at the point where I like your videos BEFORE I even watch them 😆 I appreciate how you share your skills and feel honored to learn from you through this little RUclips universe. Thank you! 🙏🏾💖🌈✨
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery omg yes lol. But since you’re doing the slightly longer than ten seconds “Top Tip” series I’ll just keep watching those videos 💖
I have watched several of your videos and have been inspired to start cross stitching again. I joined a cross stitching group on FB too. I originally started cross stitching in my late teens into my early 20's. I had no one to teach me. I learned on my own. Turned away from stitching fir many years. Then I saw your tutorials. I am back to stitching again. Thank you for your guidance. So much easier than before 😊❤
I know this wasn't the topic of the video, but I thought the thread you made up out of different coloured strands looked really nice and I definitely want to try that!
Mixing threads in the needle can look lovely Laura, just try not to mix secondary colours because you will get brown when you look at it from a distance!
Some lovely stitches that I can't wait to try. I never realised how beautiful it can be to leave open shapes with stitches. Thank you for being an excellent teacher!
I so much needed this a few weeks ago when trying to decide how to fill in a balloon with something that's not too solid. I ended up using seed stitch. But I am in love with the trellis stitch you showed us here - I need a project to use it 😆 Thank you, Sarah!
I’ve been wanting to embroider my whole life and now that I’ve started your videos are some of the best out there for finding new stitches that I haven’t seen before!! I’m in love with trellis stitch I can’t wait to try it :)
Thank you Sarah. You are such a wonderful teacher! Thank you for being so generous with your talent. I am excited to try some of these stitches. ❤️🌹 hope your weekend has been lovely.
I loved this video Sarah, thank you. My favourite has to be the trellis work, just lovely. It is only recently that I have been taking a real interest in Crewel work as the variety of stitches and effects one can achieve is really lovely. Some wool threads can be a bit challenging, but your Lana thread is excellent.
Hi Sarah , You have so inspired me to pull out all my threads after so many years :-) But just wondering why you don't cover the gold outline of the design ?
Thanks for the video Sarah. A great reference to have for fillers. I will add these to my sampler. Are you planning to update how you filled peacock body as well? Will be interesting to see which stitches you match with different fillers.
Your videos are awesome inspiration and easy to follow and learn . Please where can I get that embroidery hoop stand which is looking convenient for old person like me .
The Bokhara couching is nice mazaima! See the peacock video with 5 stitches for solid shapes. You can make whatever pattern you like with the holding stitches...
Hi Sarah .. this is a really helpful video and so good of you to share.. can I ask if the peacock shape pattern is available please? Looking forward to giving this a try. There are so many helpful tips in this one x

It would! Very tiny fish...:)

Sarah, is there a maximum area size for the trellis stitch? If you have a larger shape can you do it in smaller units?
No rules, whatever you ilke the look of Julie!

Hi Sarah, thank you for replying my message, I will check out your shop for the clamp.
It looked to me as if you were using just two strands of floss to do the cross-stitch on the trellis. Is that right?
I think so Marin, these stitches are small so a finer thread will show up the stitch more
What color/brand is the thread used for the detached twisted cross stitch? It’s gorgeous and i need to buy it lil.
It's a stranded cotton Syberre, probably Anchor in a turquoise colour!
Sarah Homfray Embroidery thank you. Your work is beautiful and i’m a bit addicted to your channel. Lovely to know you will reply to questions and comments. 😁Happy Stitching 🧵
What pen have you used for the edging?
I used the prick and pounce method and gold paint but look out for next weeks video for real gold edgings!
