@Keenah81 It makes a HUGE difference! I prefer suede and satin materials first, then leather and lastly patent leather. The more porous the material the better. The glue adheres better and you have a better bond between the shoe, glue and rhinestone which means that your rhinestones don't fall off.
That was amazing and the fact you were able to do it with kids around made it better. Your girls are gorgeous God bless... Now I'm going to get all my things together to start my own shoe project thanks for the video it inspired me!!!
I love the out come of the shoes I will definatly have to do this from my granddaughters they love sparkles also . The little ladies are adorable enjoy them as long as you can the grow up so fast. thanks for the video
Let me tell you, between you and another youtuber I watch, I'm going to have the most fabulous feet in all of Michigan! I strassed the heel and platform of a shoe I had and it's a showstopper! I get stopped and complimented all the time when I have them on. I have people offering to pay for me to do their shoes! (I don't have time! I'm too busy doing my own! lol) I'm also about to do a pair of my own sneakers (I'm starting today, right after I hit send on this!) Thanks for doing these vids!
@baybeeface13 The longer the better. But I am impatient and usually will want to wear them right away. I do usually wait at least 24 hours before wearing. I made my daughter wait several days before she could wear hers since she is 5 and rougher on shoes. She lost one crystal on each shoe and she wears them every other day for the past month. But it was due to how the shoe bends when she walks.
I'm in the process of getting a website put together. I plan on selling flip flops, shoes, earrings, ipad covers, etc. I think you will like the stones. My thought process has always been that I would only use Swarovski for high end items (Jimmy Choo, Giuseppe, etc). But not everyone has that kind of a budget for those brands of shoes. I feel like this is a wonderful alternative for people who want bling, but at a much lower cost.
I use the 4mm and 3mm pattern on the heel and platform. It gives more dimension to the shoe. I have started adding a 5mm size stone on my last 5 shoes I've done. I think the varied sizes is gorgeous.
@MsYunique1 I've done so many pairs now that the smell doesn't bother me anymore. But it did startle me the first time I used it. If you work in a well ventilated area, you shouldn't smell the glue as much. And typically once the cap is put back on you shouldn't smell the glue after 30 minutes or so. And you most certainly shouldn't smell the glue on the shoes once its dried.
@35divadiva It's called a "Pick Me Up". I got it in the scrapbooking section at Hobby Lobby. I did a google search and found that Kmart as well as a slew of online craft store sell this item.
Omygoodness I love you for this video c: Question, what kind of gem tool do you use to pick the gems up because the ones I looked for were white waxed pencils. Whats the name of the one you use? thanks in advance c:
@DeShoneCustomWigs1 Thanks! I think that most girls (and women) love sparkles. It's obvious that I do. And kids do grow up fast. I remember when my oldest couldn't even sit up. Now she is demanding rhinestones on all her shoes!
@leneepooh YES!!!!!! I'm so happy that my videos have helped you become one of the most fashionable in regards to your footwear!! People think I bought all my shoes with the crystals already on them. they flip when I tell them I customized them myself. I have several people at my job telling me that they are going to make me do their shoes for them for several special events that they are attending.
Thank you! I found it and ordered a bunch. I hope I love them. From your videos it looks like they are beautiful. I always used the Swarovski before., but as you said, the cost is no comparison. Oh, I'm guessing they will work the same on the flip flop straps too, right? Do you make these to sell? Do you have a website?
@perrione01 I used the resin crystals. They are a little cheaper than the hg hotfix. But if you want to use a glue gun on a different project (like clothing) I would suggest you get the hotfix.
@nloville I wouldn't do that. You will lose major shine if you do that! Your crystals definitely won't fall off, but they will be dull. It's a tricky thing that comes with practice, but you have to have the right thickness of glue on the shoe so that they won't fall off but don't ooze over the crystal to reduce the shine. If you don't put enought glue on, then crystals will fall off. I personally have never had problems with crystals falling off. Maybe one or two at the most.
Hi, I love your work. Just a quick question, I really couldnt catch what you were saying when you was placing the stones, but you use two different sizes and you alternate when you are placing them?
The sizes I use depends on the shoe and the look I'm going for. You can use any size you like. When this video was made, I used medium sized stones. As I have gotten better, I tend to use much smaller sized stones for my kids shoes and shoes in general. But for adult shoes, I like to use 5-6 different sized stones. Note that if you want a more seamless look, you MUST purchase really small stones (6ss and smaller).
Hello, could you tell me the tool that you are using to spread out the glue and apply the crystals. I would also like to know where I could purchase it. Thanks so much. Have a wonderful day!!
In this video I did use two different sized stones. Since this video I prefer to use three different sized stones. I usually place stones at random and in a way that covers as much of the shoe as possible.
@nloville and also if you lose your shine with the crystals what i have learned is hat you can take some 70% alcohol and just rub it slightly over the crystals to clean up any glue and get a righter shine
@BlackWomenHair The tool I use is called "Pick Me Up". I got mine from Hobby Lobby in the scrapbooking section. But do a google search for the tool, you will see that it is sold at Hobby Lobby, K-Mart and other craft stores.
@Missmedic242 I'm good. My laptop wan't though. Had it for like 6 years which is like 90 in computer years. Purchased a new one today, so I can upload again. :)
@Lovingmama2011 Yeah, most people on here sell their shoes for big bucks. I like a lot of their work, but was not spending $800 on a pair of plain Louboutin's to then spend another $500-$800 to get them strassed. So I figured out how to do it myself. So why not share and help others look fab without breaking the bank?
Thank you I got one finally and a pair of platform heels from Target, patten leather Taupe color, I'm not sure what color crystals to use, I was thinking of glittering the main shoe first then adding crystals to the platform and the heel...idk ~ What do you think....
Be careful with the glue with patent leather shoes. Don't use too much or try to do a large section because it can get messy quick. My suggestion would be to do the heel and platform first. Since this is your first time doing this, you don't have any idea how long it's going to take you. The color is up to you. Are you wanting this to be a shoe for a specific outfit or do you want to be able to wear the shoes with multiple things?
@brwnchx913 Sorry you feel that way. I did say in part one that my kids might be noisy. I have a two and five year old that are very active. I can't do this type of video at night when they are sleeping. I need the natural light to see what I'm doing.
Do these crystals look close to Swarovski, im really into them. I guess you could say im expensive. But i love the video and i cant wait to do some of my shoes.
Q: Does the material of the shoe make a difference in how the glue & stones stick? i.e. leather, patent leather, suede, satan, etc. Do you prefer 1 over the others? P.S. Love the vids! ;)
I was using the beadabetter on ebay but found a place online, blinggasmdotcom that sells acrylic and glass stones that I like better. They are located in Oregon, so I no longer have to wait 2 weeks to get my stones. Plus, they have had good customer service.
It's not the same as super glue. I would NOT use super glue. Super glue dries way too fast and you don't have the ability to move the stones around if you place them wrong. Stick with E6000.
@Keenah81 It makes a HUGE difference! I prefer suede and satin materials first, then leather and lastly patent leather. The more porous the material the better. The glue adheres better and you have a better bond between the shoe, glue and rhinestone which means that your rhinestones don't fall off.
Wow, they turned out so well! Jasmine's commentary at the end was adorable!
That was amazing and the fact you were able to do it with kids around made it better. Your girls are gorgeous God bless... Now I'm going to get all my things together to start my own shoe project thanks for the video it inspired me!!!
Your babies are so sweet! Such a good mommy
Thanks! My daughter still wears her shoes at least once a week. You'll love it!
Love everything and your daughters are so beautiful. Just too cute!!!! Thanks for the tutorials
Beautiful children, beautiful work! You're my motivation =)
I love it!! The kids are sooo cute!!! Expressly the baby Jordan.
I love the out come of the shoes I will definatly have to do this from my granddaughters they love sparkles also . The little ladies are adorable enjoy them as long as you can the grow up so fast. thanks for the video
Thank you! My daughter is my most demanding client now. She keeps bringing me more of her shoes to do. :)

Wow very pretty. Can u plz tell me where can I buy, that thing u picking the crystals up with?
@marmalay 3mm and 4mm or 12ss and 16ss sized crystals.

Your picker seems so much better than what we can get in the UK. Could you please send the make,. model and distributor please x

@DeShoneCustomWigs1 I've never experienced shrinkage from the glue.

Thanks for this video! I just found this video because I am looking to bling up some shoes I am wearing to a wedding as a bridesmaid.
Make sure your bride knows you are planning on blinging out the shoes! Not many brides want to be upstaged!! I dont want to get you in trouble! LOL!
@nloville and also if you lose your shine with the crystals what i have learned is hat you can take some 70% alcohol and just rub it slightly over the crystals to clean up any glue and get a righter shine

@PiinkSugaSpice Thanks!
gorgeous
I will try to do it again. I have a better camera now.
@kellylovesbeautyx3 I'm a little overwhelmed at how many people missed my videos. Thanks so much!!

@Missmedic242 Thanks for the tip!
lovely
Hobby Lobby is where I got my tool.
its been awhile missed your videos hope all is well with you.
Not sure as I buy in bulk. But my best guess is 3000 stones for a pair.
@brwnchx913 Sorry you feel that way. I did say in part one that my kids might be noisy. I have a two and five year old that are very active. I can't do this type of video at night when they are sleeping. I need the natural light to see what I'm doing.
What size stones you use for the heels and what size did you use for your daughters shoes??
Beautiful babies!
@danneewood Thank you!
Do you only do the 4mm, 3mm pattern on the heel, or do you do it on the platform as well?
@iwitherspoon Got it. I'll definately keep that in mind. Thank you much!!! :)
What is the name of the stick your using to place the gems...Thank you
Do these crystals look close to Swarovski, im really into them. I guess you could say im expensive. But i love the video and i cant wait to do some of my shoes.
@MrsKawaii09 Thanks! Got a new laptop so I'm back in business.
@Missmedic242 Thank you!
Are the rhinestones u bought from bead_better good quality??? I mean do they bling a lot !!!
which stones did you use off of the ebay site? if you dont mind me asking
Q: Does the material of the shoe make a difference in how the glue & stones stick? i.e. leather, patent leather, suede, satan, etc. Do you prefer 1 over the others? P.S. Love the vids! ;)
Hey one serious question is the e6000 glue same as supper glue does it work the same way
If you do remake this--make sure the shoe stays in the camera frame! Sometimes we can see only your hands or the table!
I'm not sure if you said it in the video but what size rhinestones are those ??
How long does it take for the smell to go away with the E6000 glue??
does the glue cause some shoes to shrink?
How long should you wait to wear them?
Hi .. few crystals occupy about to line a shoe as well as yours?
what is the tool that you are using to apply rhinestones
@shell1328 Thanks!
I was using the beadabetter on ebay but found a place online, blinggasmdotcom that sells acrylic and glass stones that I like better. They are located in Oregon, so I no longer have to wait 2 weeks to get my stones. Plus, they have had good customer service.
how many crystals for platform and heel?
About how long does the crystals stay on your heels and sneakers?
Can you apply this to clothes usibg the same glue?
you can. but you have to hand wash.
@devnay123 Thanks!
adorable little girls...
@lytrice05 :)
It's not the same as super glue. I would NOT use super glue. Super glue dries way too fast and you don't have the ability to move the stones around if you place them wrong. Stick with E6000.
can u pls redo this video. it was a bit blurry
Couldn't finish video- too much background noise. Im sure this was very informative but couldn't really clearly hear.
Baby JORDIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pick Me Up
@sanjon1998 Thank you!!
