I watched for 25 years up until recently. They had amazing storylines back then. Characters had integrity, stories were solid and details were intricate. They really put the money out and were always on-location...especially with Luke & Laura, Sonny & Brenda, Anna & Robert (last of the great super-couples) Gloria Monty & Wendy Riche were the best producers ever. They never centered the show around the precious few. The Quartermain dynasty was at their best...Those Were The days My Friend!
So true. I realized that after I'd typed the comment and watched the clip again. Man, I miss Brenda and Sonny.

I loved Ned and Brenda's friendship, but he had had that coming for a while. Go Brenda!
When it came to Robin and Stone , Sonny DID have love and compassion, love him or hate him you HAVE to give him that much. For Ned to turn it into anything else makes him an asshole. plus Robin herself ASKED Sonny to tell Brenda . Sonny is complacated to be sure but not his love for Stone and Robin, that s as pure as love gets
LOL..I just noticed how at the beginning of this scene Sonny's clothes changed but Brenda's did not. This is still one of my favorite Brenda and Sonny moments.
Even with all that happened between them, I still believe that Brenda was Sonny's only truest love. Carly has never really been that for Sonny. They gave it a lot of tries but that's why it never lasted and it's why they are not together today. It was inevitable they would implode. Nina is also not a true love either. It's Brenda. It's always been her. And it always will be.
Brenda is Sonny's heartbeat, his oxygen, his lifeline! No other woman can EVER compare! When Brenda is on the scene not only the women in Sonny's life get on edge but all of PC! Cause they bring the THUDA and LIGHTING!

Brenda and Sonny are maent to be together.. ROBIN brings more emotions out of JASON then anybody else EVER will.. If you go back and look at JnR scenes you can see his emotions are easier brought out by robin..
VM and KMc have remained the best of friends all these years and VM looks at her as a little sister.
I just don't see anything that says mobster, cop, good guy, bad guy. All I see are decent people trying to help the ones they love. Go, Brenda.

Love how Sonny comfort Brenda in these heartbreaking times. He gives the best Pep Talks! Sonny was waiting to hold Brenda again. Finally, Brenda telling Ned BIG HEAD a** off! Lois you SHOLL right, I love him until late 97, a few eps in 98, parts of 02-03, then again in 2010-2011. I'm currently waiting to love him again, tho.😏

Nedly started off so good....then he did an Edward and put his foot in his mouth.....and he paid for it with that speech off from Brenda.....and the "once you love sonny" remark from Lois was icing on the cake.....Ned was an idiot.
WELL SAID....and I have thought the exact same thing.
I’ll say robin taught Jason what love was supposed to feel like how your supposed to show it and how it’s shown to you because after the accident he didn’t deal with emotions the same as he did before the accident but Sam brought the best parts out of Jason unconditional love and understanding he had all of that with Sam and she made him wanna be a better want more with her than any other woman like marriage and kids
@dominiquesric Right now I would say they do nothing but irritate me when they are together because you're right it does seem forced. But when they are just natural together its awesome. They have a grudging love for each other that I love.
Couldn't agree with you more and then it's like they sit around picking their ass wondering why the ratings are in the can. Maybe they should be on here picking up some tips on how to write a good show.
GH isn't the same anymore. THe stories are not interesting enough for me. I stopped watching after Kimberly left in 99 and they axed her relationship with Jason and Sonny too. When she came back in 05 i was hoping for a JNR reunion but it didn't happen ug and probably won't though i am hopeful, and hopeful for a Sonny and Brenda reunion, if Vanessa comes back...
@sunnymoonbeam11 I was thinking the same thing about Jason and Brenda. They have great chemistry and she does bring out more emotions in him. This Sonny isn't the Sonny of the past and maybe this Sonny and this Brenda don't have as much chemistry as they used to.
Bad writing. Material isn't there and the storylines are really stupid. It makes even good actors seem foolish.

This just goes to show how petty and inconsiderate Nedly was.... instead of offering genuine comfort and show compassion for his so called friend.....he starts of sounding understanding then launches in a rant about letting herself be snowed by Sonny....he was an inconsiderate ass and what both she and Lois told was on point...he deserved worse....also.....I never like Ned and after watching this scene, everything that happened to him here on after, including Lois leaving him and taking their child with her....he deserved.....he acted as if Sonny was all bad and refused to accept that as with everyone else, including his own deceitful self, that Sonny had faults but he also had a heart...these people were the highest form of hypocritical and it was good to see Sonny break them down one way or another throughout the years.
