I just used rubbing alcohol (drip a little on inside then when halfway on, drip a little on the bike's grips.) and it worked really well. Both done in less than a minute.

When I installed my foam grips over the stock grips I muscled the first one on then remembered I had some silicone spray lubricant and sprayed a little on the inside (not much), then the foam grip slipped on easily. I've had no problem with the grip moving and made the job fast and easy. I also didn't bother to remove the bar end weights. I really like your cell phone holder, hopefully you have a video on that so I can see what brand it is.

Great trick to use the cable ties for an easy installation 💙💛🏁🤛🏼

Nice installation technique. I have problems with the my fingers fatiguing on the throttle hand after extended highway riding and was looking at these as a solution. Cruise control is the real answer, but T7 won't get that any time soon. I have the same grip warmers also.
    Thanks again!

Has efficacy of the heated grips system been influenced with installation of these foam grips?

I've had grip puppies on my f650gs with heated grips, it takes a little longer to reach your hands but it still works great.
I have glove size 2XL , and these puppies feel great !

MissendenFlyer used the same grips, detailed in a video, and came to the same conclusion that it only takes longer to heat the grips

I used compressed air (my air compressor with a gun) to slip the foams on the existing rubber grips of my Honda CRF250L.
Just insert one end of the foam on the rubber grip (minimum 1cm), >>> just be gentle to don't tear the not-so-strong foam

GREAT Idea! Better than soaping them up to slide them on, there is not residue. Thanks!

I used soapy water, took me about 5 minutes total to do both sides

If you dont need to ride straight away, WD40 works fine just spray a bit inside the foam and slip it on. Should be fine to ride in a few hours, the WD40 dries out & the grips dont slide at all.

Play the video question when it rains do they psych up the water? Is it hard to dry?

Lo mejor es usar jabón Fairy en agua, entran súper fácil y cuando seca, no resbalan

No doubt this method works, we saw it, however, by the time you have placed a few zip ties the entire job could have been finished using hand sanitizer.

I watched the hand sanitizer videos and this is much simpler and there is NO residue.

    Hello mate!
Where did you get your hand guard protections?
    Greetings from Portugal!

Or you can just use dish soap. I fiddled around with this technique with no luck for about 20 minutes on my F700GS. Then whipped out the Dawn and they slipped right on. Took me a total of 10 minutes for both sides including removing the bark busters. When it dries they won't move at all. An old bike hand grip trick. Sorry if I rained on anybody's parade here.

Compressed air works fine too (see my post above) but the dish soap is the most used technique (and the fastest), I agree.

I just use a baby oil because it will dry up eventually

That is so funny. A little liquid soap and it took me less than a minute per handle.
