I don't even own a t7 but that arguably was the best 'installation video' that I have watched. 😊 Your editing is superbly tight and your elocution is that of an adult making the video a pleasure to watch. Bonus point for not having annoying accompanying 'music'.
Any idea if this might fit on a 22 mt07? I have searched the internet and have not been able to find a larger tank for my daily commute! This would be perfect so I only need to pump every 2 days instead of daily! Any recommendations would be helpful, thank you for the great video!
I put one on a couple of months ago and it's awesome! I also don't remember removing the o-ring when I did mine.. Haven't had any leaks or anything so I hope it's alright. You said 160 miles per tank on the stock tank is all you're getting??
Your O ring probably was stuck to the pump so you are good. I am installing mine tomorrow. Did you get the vented keyed gas cap or the one with hose that came with tank ? Does the tank leak when you’ve fallen? How do you like it still ?
@@Asdfghjkl1234 LOVE IT! I did get the vented locking cap, but it's done a poor job at venting and leaks like crazy from the vapor. Acerbis is sending me a new cap. If that doesn't work than I'll put the stock cap on and not worry about it. The range is unreal - great upgrade!
@@elindenstein thanks very much. Very helpful. We are getting ready to ride the Wyoming BDR in a couple weeks which is quite remote so excited about this install. I bought the lockable cap as well but I am leaning towards keeping the original vented one for the trip since don’t want to experiment with the locking one on the BDR.
@@Asdfghjkl1234 There's a lot of people that have had issues with the vented one so I'd just go with the hose one for this first trip and experiment with the vented when you're closer to home. The leaking was especially bad in hot weather; I just did a week in Yellowstone and it was pretty bad because it was so hot

Thank you so much for the kind words! We appreciate it and glad you enjoyed the video.
Every adventure bike should have a tank over 20 liters as standard
great video! So helpful. Thank you.
Good job and grate tips
Great video!
Acerbis, make a 4gal tank for CRF450RL!
What I'm interested most. Does this fuel tank make the bike less top heavy by distributing the fuel more to the sides and down low of motorcycles?
Excellence presentation. Even a dope like me could follow it 😂
Own a 22 same colour T7.
A 150 to 160km hr run 20 min the fuel gauge will burn away 2 marks on the fuel gauge... T7 can be thirsty!
Where exactly does the extra fuel sit different from the stock tank??? Is it lower or more forward?
It's wider on the sides and it doesn't have the cover, so it's bigger overall. -Charles
❤❤❤
I have OEM and crash bars, can this be installed without removing them?
You'll probably need to remove them to get the tank swapped out, but you should be able to reinstall the crash bars once the new tank is on. -Charles
So is that purple vent line really needed? I see that there is also a key lock cap for that fuel tank but that one does not have a purple vent line...
pretty sure the hose is only there to route fumes through the charcoal canister to "keep it legal".
Does this tank take the same profile as the stock setup? I’m curious if I can use a sticker kit for a stock Tenere.
The form is very similar to the stock tank but not exactly the same.

The Acerbis 3.14 fuel tank will not fit on your model.
The acerbis locking gas cap is vented, correct? My sw motech crash bars have bent in so probably will have to remove them
Correct, the Acerbis locking gas cap is vented.
@@rmatvmc So with the locking, vented gas cap, there is no need for a vent line?
Does your top tank panel not fit over the Acerbis tank or did you choose not to fit it ?
No it doesn't fit over the Acerbis tank

how much lighter is the acerbis tank then metal stock?
We haven't weighed it but with this tank on the bike and filled up, you're only adding about 7 lbs. of weight.
@@rmatvmc and how about stock plastic fitment with new tank? all good?
Would this fit a 2024 MT-07
Sorry, this does not fit the MT-07.
This is not going to fit your model.
So from top heavy to even more top heavy ,nice !
So what, stop being a nana!
Does this tank sit lower in the frame? I can't imagine an extra 7 lbs on top of an already top heavy ride.
It's wider on the sides and it doesn't have the cover, so it's bigger overall. -Charles
Im sick of all these cry babies saying the T7 is top heavy. Stop crying and learn how to ride.
