- Well, what can i say that the title and thumbnail haven't already said? This is a Kingdom Come Deliverance Video That seeks to try and answer the longstanding question for this game, which is, Which Longsword is the Best? The three contenders are: Herod's Sword, St. George's Sword, and The Executioners Sword.
After the conclusion however, i take Henry, dressed in his best Crusader armor, on a rampage of a local camp of heretical bandits, and God's Will Prevails as Henry single Handedly defeats the entire horde by himself. Deus Vult!

I do a lot of dodging and I stab almost as much as I slash, so the St. George is best for me.
Yeah, i used to be pretty slash heavy, but now when i use swords, its almost entirely stabbing.
Stabbing is just so much better vs armor. Especially since a face stab is almost always a 1 hit kill.

I prefer the St George's sword simply because a lot of the combos have stabs in them.

This happens every time i try to spread the good word.
No one is talking about the Magdeburg Sword and its legendary 126 defence and 113 durability.
I still use the St George's Sword when I go to areas with large groups of plate armor bandits, because stabbing at the face for a 1 hit kill is just so great.
The Magdeburg sword does get slept on, it is a fantastic weapon.

The St. Georges sword is by far my favorite, you can get it really early which is what I did. You only need lock pick lvl 6 to access the hard chest.

Love to see you try do something on polearms. Even though though they are not incorporated well in the game, you can still use them. Maybe a comparison of them all. Keep up the good work!
I could give it a look, i rarely use them since you cant store them, but it may come in the future.
Polearms are situational and should never be used outside of Horseback combat in my opinion. Just go with whatever has a high Stab damage as Stabs are easier to land than slashes are from horse back, not only that Stab's are much more effective at dealing with more heavily armored targets such as ones wearing plate armor.
Luckily most Polearms have very high Stab and I will only list the ones you should avoid (basically any Polearm with under 100 Stab Damage) ↓↓↓
Bardiche (basically a huge axe)
Glaive (a peasants spear, but is balanced for stabs and slashes)
Italian Bill (basically another big ass axe)
Lucerne Hammer (as its name suggests its a hammer and has terrible stab damage)
Reforged Scythe (another poor mans Polearm, less balanced than the Glaive with worse Stab)

Piercer is the best sword in the game, because you can get it immediately after waking up at the Mill and poke people and master stroke/riposte with Bernard until you have 20 sword and strength. EZ dutiful, diligent, competent, and literate Henry playthrough.

Where do you get the executioner sword? St George / Herolds / Longdinio / Madgdeburg / Duelist ...my choice. Great Work!!
You have to take it from the executioner.
You take it out of the executioners chest in his tent...its just down the road from the tavern between Rattay and Neuhof.
They're both vague, what you need to do to acquire the Executioners Sword is the following.
Help Hermann the Rattay executioner, you will have to complete 2 quests the second will allow you to obtain the sword.
The first is called Tough Love, some SPOILERS for both quests....
For Tough Love simply play through the quest and convince the woman that she should stay with Hermann.
Next is the quest Money for Old Rope which you should convince Hermann he should do something about the problem he is having and just go along with Hermann's plan to sabotage the executions. One task has you steal and dull the Executioners Sword, simply complete all objectives including returning the sword the first time. After you watch the Execution, and before talking to Hermann for your reward, just return to the Executioners camp and reclaim the sword. Effectively stealing it twice, just be warned you'll have to re-sharpen it which shouldn't be an issue as unlike Maces, Swords can be self repaired without a Kit or going to a Black Smith when under 60% condition using a Grind Stone.
Just be warned that if you wait until after the quest is over the camp disappears and the sword is no longer obtainable after that point as its the only one in the game.

@@Mrestevezdesign The Sword isn't Hermann's its the executioner from another town which isn't accessible in game. The only time your able to get the Executioners Sword is during the quest Money for Old Rope, which has you steal the sword specifically to dull it, then return it to where it was stolen.
If you don't steal the Sword back before talking to Hermann to complete the quest its gone for good sadly because the camp the out of town executioner is at vanishes once the quest is complete.
Lmfao I love this. But I do find it weird that you used a different outfit from the one in the crusader guide video. This is what I've been using anyway since I didn't really think the other one looked the crusader part... DEUS VULT
The Charisma and the Weight are important factors in making St George's sword the best! And of course the stab damage.....
Does the weapon's weight affect anything other than inventory limit?

@@jonboi1127 For me its purely inventory limit, as I am a pack rat that picks up anything Mule 3 and a Pack Horse is never enough so anything that cuts down my weight is gold for me!
Yeah, i think the weight effects the sqwing speed a little bit.

I love the St. Michael sword. I found it in a treasure chest early on during my first play thru. It just feels like it's my sword of destiny

So what about the sword that you had to assemble "The Queen of Sheba's Sword", does it not make it to the top 3 even after all that work that I did? funny that was the only reason that I clicked on this video and come to find that it ain't even on the list?
Definitly not, it's a very brittle sword (10 durability)
I found the sword in the quest “next to godliness” after me and sir Hans capon got drunk and I beat up that jealous boy friend you wake up hungover outside, then you just go into the room where you were drinking and bathing and go to the chest where you put your clothes and there was sit hans clothes and his sword St.Georges.
Yeah, and you used to be able to get it by stealing it from his trunk as many times as you want. But, now they have patched it so once you steal it, it never becomes available again. At least through that method.

Thats the idea, my point was that they are all great for their own reasons. In the end i said, my opinion is that Saint George's is the best, but all three are serious contendors for the title.

Where did you get the executioner sword from?
There’s a quest which you have to sabotage the execution. One of the objectives is to dull the executioner sword, you can choose to steal it. I don’t know what that will affect the quest though because i just dulled and returned it to get the achievement.
In this play through, i just went over there and took it. I didnt even start the mission.

From the Executioner East of Rattay's Upper Gate. It is in a chest in his tent.
St george for sure[dmg] or magbourg for def and durability
But there is a low sword that does 91 dmg estoc i forgot name
Whenever a mercenary or the wayfaring knight or the faint-hearted knight challenges me to a duel I always accidentally kill them

Head down the road out the upper gate of rattay, towards neuhof, there will be a building out in the middle of nowhere with like three people walking aroun, one of them is the executioner. Inside his tent is a chest, and if you can pick the lock, you can steal the sword.

IMO, Duelist is the best. :) its my baby.
Its a decent weapon, it really only suffers in durability.

Nice swordplay. Have you tried playing with the no slow mo & no hud mods? Basically makes vanilla unplayable for me now the extra immersion brings. Fustrates me they dont add option by default. They designed the mechanics so well u dont actually need either, so one day i hope they will give the player the choice.
I havent played with any mods yet, but i played hard core for quite a while.
@@Dare_To_Game yeh until proper modding comes in they can be hit & miss because they are not always updated. I was hoping hardcore mode would bring more options but maybe down the track. They focused so much on not holding hand with a lot of gameplay elements, i wish theyd see how much the game benifits taking that a step further. Or at least give the option.
As far as Groshen to damage the assassin is the best

I didn't even realize that this was an argument. ST George's sword has 72 in each stat. Someone tell me why you think the other swords could be better
I know this is old but for how I play the German sword with the crazy durability and defense is way better than any other. Won't break and I am a monster at defense now lol
